During the February 16 broadcast of SBS' 'Laws of the Jungle in Patagonia', DIAmember Jung Chae Yeon had to leave the premises after suddenly falling ill.

With Captain Kim Byung Man's team literally starving for 70 hours, Jung Chae Yeon couldn't handle the pain and expressed, "My stomach really hurts," crying.

No. They did not go 70 hours without a single bite of food. As someone who is ACTUALLY watching the show, not sure why the article is exaggerated to such a degree. If you watch the last couple of episodes, they eat various berries nonstop throughout the episodes. However, this season is definitely more extreme in terms of the lack of proteins and more carb rich sustenance and the elements are very unforgiving.

Also, I'm not sure how the show is stupid, when survival is the entire premise of the show. The crew never forces people to do anything they're not really comfortable with. Hong Jinyoung was so scared of the water, that she didn't get into the canoe and they never forced her to. Throughout various seasons, the crew will pull them out if things get too dangerous, or people are struggling too much. I think it's a bit wrong to put the blame on the show, when they DO take steps to ensure safety and well-being without compromising the entire premise of the show.

I'm just speculating, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't already malnourished to a certain degree, before even coming onto the trip. With how some of these idols already starve themselves to a certain degree, and MBK's reputation for starving their idols, I wouldn't be surprised if that contributed to her withdrawal.
