I've alternated between expensive catholic private schools and public schools, and I didn't really notice a difference in the educational value. Not gonna say the name of the school but it was in my high school, from what I understand it was in the news all over the country (U.S) because I had friends from other states who contacted me about it at the time telling me they saw it on the news. That doesn’t mean that the school is poor, here in the USA and many states that I lived in it’s normal for the school to ask for basic supplies. electrapng 326 Posted February 9, 2018 Share Posted February 9, 2018 hm, i'm not sure why asking for tissue boxes = cheap, since that's something i had to do for nearly every class i ever took in my 12 years of public schooling. my school district wasn't poor either; every high school student had their own laptop the school provided, and we still had to bring tissues. i think it's more to avoid the hassle of one teacher buying a ridiculous number of tissues at once and having to transport them. and honestly? i think what matters more is the quality of the education, not how much it costs. i know some people at my university i go to who went to private school, but their schools weren't as good as some public school districts, so they struggle in classes that are easy for me. idk! it depends on the parent, but that's what i think.
