KohSung 76
Chinese firefighters were surprised to find out their gear turned into ice armor as they extinguished a fire in Altay, Northwest China’s, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The main points here are as follows: Temperature was below -30 degrees Celsius (-22 degrees Fahrenheit), froze gear to the point that they stood upright after taking them off- giving the impression that they had donned ice armor. Water started to freeze out of the fire hose in mid-air when it was shot out. Ice particles appeared on the firefighter's uniforms. Firefighters kept on performing despite these extreme conditions.
