I don't know nearly enough Korean to get the full context of that, but it's probably lost in translation. I wouldn't be surprised if chingu was the word being used, which isn't quite equivalent to friends in English, but is often used as such. It's a much broader term for people that are the same age as yourself.

Wow. What a heartbreaking story about his life in junior high school. That must have been so hard for him. He is really a strong person, stronger than any of the other idols who have long been in hiding. It is going to be tough for him, but I hope that with the help of his fans, including me, we can show him that he is never alone and that we will follow him each step of the way. I wish him the very best in his endeavor and I hope that his career will showcase a more positive light on homosexuality in Korea because it is time we take a step back and realize that the lifestyle that a person follows should never dictate how you think they should be. They are the ones living their life, the way they want to, so they can find happiness, do not force your values on somebody else.

Not just his mental and physical bravery, but his ability to sermonize his experiences, and question the disgusting stigma behind homophobia is what really makes him such a beautiful human to me. I can see he truly wants change with his words, and actions. This isn't just about him being gay, he believes he's taking a step for all the LGBT out there regardless of whether it puts him on the frontline of accusations and threats by bigots. He's truly such a strong man, I have so much love for him. For those who tell me his sexuality is noise marketing, go read his comments about LGBT first. This man is inspirational, I truly wish him the best.
