I was overweight back in the day I didn't exercise and everyday I drank big bottle of soda and ate like bag of candy or chips. Also during lunch and dinner I always drank couple glasses of juice and barely ate any vegetables.

So one day I just decided that from this day on I only drank water nothing else and just by that decision my daily calorie intake decreased like around 1000 calories.

Then I decided to change all my candy and chips to fruits and vegetables so every time I wanted to some snacks I just ate those.

Also when I ate lunch and dinner I always started with a lot of salad that ate first which already made me half full and only then ate the real lunch and dinner.

Then I changed riding my bike to walking and started to exercise 1 hour 3 times a week in my own room just doing sit ups, push ups and other exercise moves I found on the internet.

That is how lost my extra weight.

Diet is much much more effective than exercise actually. Not to say you should not exercise, you definitely should because it's good for your body. But most weight loss is from changing the diet, exercise without changing your diet will do nothing.

You can just eat less sugary food and less bad carbohydrate. Writing down how many meals you eat including second helpings and snacks helps too because you get more conscious of just how much you eat during the day.

Find your TDEE (there are lots of website for that) and according to how "aggressive" you want your fat loss to be eat 200 cals (slow) / 400 cals (moderate) / 600 cals (aggressive) less than that.

Calorie tracking is the easiest way to get on a weight loss routine, if you can bother to keep up with it. Apps like MyFitnessPal help a lot.

Walk a lot if you don't exercise + do squats and crunches if you want/have time

Cut out carbs like white bread/rice, candy, anything with sugar

for lunch/dinner: chicken breast/fish/salmon/ red meat 1/week with veggies (not peas not potatoes)

eat low fat dairy like cheese and yogurt (high in protein) rather than milk and cream

nuts and friuts are good snacks eg 10 almonds + 1 apple/pear/ half banana

idk about breakfast since I avoid it but oatmeal and nuts or a friut/veggie smoothie are good

avoid sugar/milk/cream in drinks. go for 0cal sweetener and a bit of butter (fat makes you feels more full). cut out sodas too, have some no sugar soda but not often bc you'll be bloated bc of the gas

in general, try high protein/ medium fat / low carb and walk as much as you can BUT if at any point you feel tired or dizzy add more good carbs in your day, you can even have a cheat day that will boost your energy and metabolism

try to have dinner early like atleast 4 hours before going to bed and take multivitamins if possible

Be careful bc this can affect you long term. Even when I was getting better from an ED I started losing a lot of hair and couldnt concentrate to even read a page of a magazine. My heart was struggling to work right and it took me years to be relatively well. Not to mention loose skin and stretch marks

A healthy body > a thin body.  You can lose weight in a slower rate, take care of your health :(
