there's an awesome japanese movie i watched, about family. nothing intense or over the top, but it really touched me. it's about how complex family can be even when we love each other. i started watching with no pretension and with the intention of switching the channel, thought it was going to be boring. but i ended up i wanting to stand up and clap til the end of the credits when it finished lol. the name of the movie is still walking, by hirokazu koreeda. you should watch, really. it's so beautiful, warm and relatable.

Rurouni Kenshin.

If you're into romance,

I love the first and third because Sato Takeru 0u0plz.png  second because Sakaguchi Kentaro, fourth because Nana is freaking gorgeous.

Bakuman's live action is also pretty good (Sato Takeru is in it too)

Spirited Away. It's a classic!

Plot: A sullen ten-year-old girl who, while moving to a new neighborhood, enters the spirit. After her parents are transformed into pigs by the witch Yubaba (Natsuki), Chihiro takes a job working in Yubaba's bathouse to find a way to free herself and her parents and return to the human world.
