ArticleKorean is 'dirty'?

Article talks about a 'dirty' Korean language book being sold on Amazon and how Korean netizens have mixed feelings over their language being taught this way.

1. [+1,705, -45] Wow, I really want to see the face of the guy who thought it was appropriate to release this

2. [+1,405, -34] My face is red with embarrassment... what is this...

3. [+1,366, -34] The guy who made this and the company that published it are both trash

4. [+29, -2] The book isn't saying the Korean language is dirty, it's just a book about Korean slang

5. [+21, -2] It's not saying Korean is dirty...  but I do think that people who use slang like this have dirty mouths

6. [+16, -1] But were examples like that necessary?

7. [+13, -0] This is nothing to be concerned over... ã…¡.ã…¡ It's not a book used in formal settings, just a fun book on slang. We have books on English slang too.. and I even saw some Japanese slang books as well.

8. [+13, -3] Every language has books like this

9. [+12, -2] I have no problem with this, and I'm actually surprised that Korean has become a language popular enough for slang books to be made out of. It means that Korean is that much more known.

10. [+9, -3] I think the government should do something about this, at least a lawsuit or something. We should be spreading how scientific our language is, not bring its image down with books like this.

I don't get why it's wrong, like the title said it's "dirty korean". To learn/understand a language, you have to learn even the "bad" words

Someone needs to calm down...

They're just now finding out about the Dirty series? They even have Dirty Sign Language and Dirty Yiddish (Dirty Japanese was my favorite).

Go sit your boring ass down in the corner of shame and remain there forever. Learning languages should be fun and exciting ahmagahplz.png. Learning dirty words and slang are the things ppl want to learn the most anyways.

Oh come on, i learned latin for my bachelor's and i have a book similar to this somewhere in storage, it's fun and it helps you remember things beyond copying and pasting words onto index cards.
