when twice lose there trend status, will you still stan?

twice is currently trend Kpop girl group, all their title tracks release become hit songs and always topping the chart but this will not be with them forever ... like all their superior learned ... twice will also stop being the trend, their song will not topping the chart, they will change concept and public will not like it and fans will leave for other younger groups. will you still stay? because I always admire fan like sone that stick to their group even after years and years

I'm personally not a Once but I listen to Twice occasionally. I think most Onces are going to stay because they stan Twice for their personalities and their talent as well. Even though they suit the cute concept, change is inevitable. Naturally they're going to lose some fans that only follow Twice because they're trendy or who stay for the cute concept but the real Onces or occasional listeners like me will stay because we geniunely enjoy Twice as an artist and as individuals.

You should have made the poll public because I know some non-ONCEs will vote for "no" LOL. anyway I stan TWICE since SIXTEEN when I didn't even know that they'll become top gg. I still stanned them when LOA initially did average. I still stan them now when they reach the top. I will still stan them if they're not trendy anymore, it doesn't matter to me, as long as I like the members and their personnalities and music and performances.

I stop following groups if their music don’t work for me anymore. But I don’t stop following groups or stop listening to music just because they are not that popular anymore.

 

I think that as time goes by I will like Twice more because they won’t have the same concept in 7 years from now and they won’t have the same concept like 15 year olds that will be popular in the future (new groups with a bunch of young members, I don’t have anything against young kpop idols, I just prefer listening to idols who at least have some +20 year old members).

 

Even if they won’t be on top anymore, which they won’t. This is reality for every group, in 7-10 year new group will be on top, just like always. But this won’t make me abandon Twice. I am not a Once but I like them. And I never abandoned a group just because they are not a trend anymore.

I stan them for who they were even back then they were just trainees.

I will still stan them as long as they still brings me happiness (plus I still interest with Kpop) which mean still enjoy their music (I'm not picky with music as overall I enjoy pop songs, so I don't know how worst their discography change must be for me to drop them), contents and the girls. Therefore, I see it for a long time.

 

It take me sometimes to actually stan a group. I casual follow the groups first and until connect with them, then I can called myself as a fan. I can like/appreciate alot of groups for their music/effort but not really a fan. Twice is the 3rd kpop group that I considered myself a fan after 6yrs just with f(shinee) (and it has a lot to do with f(x) hardly active and the lack of content since 2015, so I have time to watch Twice contents and fallen for them too). As long as I'm enjoy with what they offers to me, everything else is irrevelant.

Twice is the 1st KPOP group that I stanned so I doubt I'll leave them because they are declining or not trendy anymore.

Twice is no longer a trend group since last year.  ONCEs are still behind them and their fanbase in Asia is actually increasing at the moment.

 

I still remember many people on OH saying in order to be considered 'not a trend', a new group needs to do well for at least 3 CBs.  Twice already has more than 3 CBs.  Of course, when it comes to Twice, OH tends to be double standards and I won't be surprised if some people will now say need 3 years of doing well or even 10 years of doing well before Twice can be considered not a trend group. 

 

By OP's definition, any group that released songs that chart well consistently can be considered 'trend group'.  There is different degree of "trending".  By your definition, groups that released songs that consistently charted within the top 5 can also be trend groups.  They are just less trendy than Twice.

 

Trending group means there aren't many loyal and diehard fans and public only like them because they are fashionable.

Physical sales is often used as an indicator of die-hard and loyal fanbase. Twice's physical is several times higher than other GGs.  If Twice is considered a trend group, how do we classify other GGs?

whats there to cling onto then when the bragging right is out of the deal for them?

who are you even talking about? I checked and the ONCEs who replied in this thread almost all registered after TWICE debuted and have been only ONCEs, not part of another fandom. just because you're bitter that things happened to your favs doesn't mean it'll happen to everyone else. it's been 2 years you obsess over TWICE, like yikes. if even haters like you are so attracted to TWICE that they can't stop talking about them and can't move on, then don't worry, the fans won't leave them anytime soon. LOL
