so there's this interesting phenomena in kpop where people overreact/underreact to certain things that don't actually effect them personally. my example here is pretty specific because i was reading some old threads lol, but it happens all the time. anywho yall remember that group that covered gfriend for a competition? it wouldn't have been a big deal, but they chose to cover the performance where gfriend slips around on stage a lot because of the rain.

 

none of the girls in gfriend were seriously hurt, but the few knets on pann who actually paid attention to this incident seemed pretty offended, and the ifans on pannchoa were mostly out-of-their-minds angry about it. i personally didn't care much, but i started thinking maybe this is a cultural difference, seeing as how incredibly popular 'fail vids' are on youtube and whatnot. tell me OH, am i the weird one?

i didnt know abt it but now that i knew, i am not amused of it. They could take any other performance, but take a performance where someone else struggle and could be seriously hurt is pretty tasteless imo. I am not a fan but saw this gfriend performance ones and never found it funny. I was pretty worried instead. It could have end bad, even with falling from stage or breaking smg. I dont understand ppl making fun of them. Would it be funny if ya were in the girls shoes? And i dont think its an overreaction to find it not funny but a simple humanity.
