How big is mamamoo in korea?

They have a very huge public appeal/recognition. Even though it doesn't show in the downloads because people prefer to hear them live. People attends Mamamoo's concerts and they love it whenever they attend IS2 or just cover any songs. Also it's not just Decalcomanie, there's also Um Oh Ah Yeh, Piano Man and Yes I am. Mamamoo's popularity doesn't come from their songs only. They're popular or known as singers who sings live beautifully regardless of what the song is.

Pretty good - solid k-fanbase and big public recog, UOAY, YTB, DCM, YIA have all been hits, even the earlier songs like Piano Man, MR. A and Peppermint have charted decently. They have hosted multiple soldout concerts with one date outside of Seoul [busan].
Public love them at IS2 [2.5 ep wins]. Even their pre-release chart well IMY, 1CM, AZE to name a few.

They have good sale in their album - non pre-release BSides too. + Members get good collabs here and there  Wheein collab with Jungkey [in which she sang the whole song] selling over 1m and snatching a win despite being unpromoted.

YTB resulted to  8 music show win, DCM 1 and YIA 7.
So I say they doing really well in SK.

Honestly, when I was in Seoul I was surprised at how often I heard them play - not nonstop like BigBang and Heize were but I must have heard YTB at least 20-30 times in large popular stores.

I think they're average but gaining popularity. Wish it was more but they have a solid fanbase and if they come on the radio, not many turn it over so that's a good sign ^^

id say general public enjoy them but the fandom isn't crazy big but ill take the GP of SK enjoying my bias group ^^

Honestly? Very popular. They're not at Twice level, but then again, what girl group is?

If you look strictly at Korea, Mamamoo's popularity with the public and their fandom is no joke.

Last year, it was Mamamoo that set a new record for 24 hr unique listeners on Melon.

It was Mamamoo that sold out over 17k tickets to their Moosical concerts almost instantly (trust me, I went to 3 and they sold out so fast I had to go through a reseller; I had multiple windows open and still failed)

Wheein's collaboration with JungKey was a huge hit, despite minimal promotions, topping the charts, winning Inkigayo and topping 1 million downloads. None of his other collaborations have hit those marks.

When I was in Seoul, I heard their music a lot and it was even used as the BGM to a diver exhibition at an aquarium I visited.

So my answer will always be Mamamoo is very popular in Korea among girl groups.

They're in that next tier beneath the current monsters--BTS, EXO, Twice and WannaOne.

Immortal Song 2, their infamous university festival schedule and their year end performances gave them massive boosts in popularity.

You'll never know it browsing international platforms, but Mamamoo is one of the most respected idol groups in Korea.

There is a saying there:

Trust and Listen to Mamamoo.

Edit: I didn't answer your question. All Mamamoo title tracks have hit at least 1 million downloads since the release of Um Oh Ah Yeah.

You should tag Mamamoo so more MooMoos can answer your questions :)
