Recently I saw some Loona fans claimed that Loona will be the next BTS because of how strong Loona international fandom is with very small of Korean fandom, while some Blink also have said that many times in the past.

What do you think? Who do you think will most likely be the female BTS?

Go away from my thread troll .....

I'm not a troll tho-

Twice have the biggest chance of getting becoming 'the female BTS' because not only to the Korean public love them, internationally they have 100X the love. Really, they are on top in the girls of this new generation... and, Blackpink only have  5 songs and a TV show.. Loona haven't even debuted yet so calm down.

Neither. Personally, I feel like boy groups are generally more popular. Fangirls are more likely to be crazy and dedicated after all, and most girls want to see boys. Therefore, girl groups will unfortunately never get the international recognition they deserve. :/

Not for SNSD.

I think the next big SM girl group probably will have the same strength as SNSD in term of international and Korean fandom.

Probably Loona, I actually saw many Army - Blinks swerve to Army - Loonatics ? (Loona fandom), probably because BlackPink's lack of content.

this

many of the hardcore army I follow either like gfriend or loona

they keep saying loona has good music so i guess

there are actually a few groups i've seen army like or at least respect, some of those include shinee, winner, btob, loona and gfriend

On a serious note, can people literally stop with the whole Blackpink is the female BTS? Each group is themselves. I'm pretty sure if a female version of BTS exists is because their company created one.

^Agree with each group is themselves.

You mean most popular Kpop group in the west and can kinda break into mainstream?

Whoever's fanbase dedicated enough to buy their music (digital, physical album) + hyping them everywhere despite backlash (including spamming, we live in internet time...).

Yeah, I am not sure what you're qualified to.

At least Kami made effort with his post while you really made it harder for people agree with you laugh.png

I think it's blackpink and it's not like I want blackpink not to have their own color, I only meant it popularity wise since BTS were always more popular internationally than locally when they started. Now it's a different story, but I also see blackpink with too much potential to hit it big like I did with BTS before, so yeah sometimes I see BTS a little bit in blackpink. Also their style appeal to western fans the most compared to other kpop groups.

It is going to be hard for a girl group to hit big in the west. Different from BTS, they would actually have competition waiting for them, who aren't any weaker in comparison. Little Mix and Fifth Harmony are both strong vocally, have great stage presence, dance and even write some of their music. Therefore, a girl group from Korea wouldn't be unique enough to stand out and beat their competition. BTS had almost no real competition at the time they started gaining momentum in the west and even if they did, they would most likely beat them because they are overall better in most aspects.

A girl group has potential to be popular internationally (South-America, SE Asia, Japan etc), but it's definitely harder to hit big in US and Europe.
