both are mindblowingly bad. 

 

I still have no idea why Hana Yori Dango is so popular that any live adaptation of it is a huge success. I like the main female character but Tsukasa is too gross and abusive to ignore. 

same. this is how I felt about the drama Playful Kiss too lol (well i disliked both leads actually)

Boys over Flowers tbh. I know Gu Jun Pyo was an as*hole but imo Kim Tan was even worse + the female lead in the Heirs was one of the weakest in the kdramaland

 

Furthermore I had such a bad second male syndrome that I cried at the end when the main couple ended up together.

 

The only thing I liked from The Heirs was its ost and the fact that the cast had so many of my favourite celebrities idols or actors/actresses

well the manga series was created in the early 90s and ended in 2003. These days the whole "girl changes asshole guy's behavior" trope doesn't fly with most people anymore but back then it did.

I'm aware of when the manga was created. These live action adaptations are not from the 90s though. That is what I'm questioning.
