johnnyrose 12,654 Posted January 28, 2018 Share Posted January 28, 2018 and it begins. on a rainy saturday evening in middle america, a twenty something young woman braces herself. hands cluched tightly on the window sill, eyes closed, deep breaths calmer than expected. her scalp prickled, electrified with whats to come. the theories, speculation, the thousands of faux won free for the taking. only for the reckless and most daring of tiny birds to flock to. the butt of a 100-thousand won haunts them still to this day 300 days later. the itch at the base of her neck stings her, desprate to scratch. the hair on her arms stand erect. the familiar sensation has return as it always does. every 6-7 months like clock work. her breath hitched. the skin breaks. the hollow and barbs of the new pale green feathers return. replacing the old that molted. the static in the room is piercing. humming energy all on its own. eyes open. sight of a thousand yards. steely with determination. purpose. we've been waiting .. and so it begins again.
