B.I: I feel like we're outsiders within YG. Maybe it's because we have a B-list vibe.

I always feel sad when idols feel this way, especially when it comes to their music. Though being in YG has its perks, having to worry about living up to the 'YG' name (and performance) is definitely burdensome... I hope he gains some confidence soon, especially with the recent reception of their new album. Having recognition might be nice, but even if it isn't as widely recognised, have some pride in what you make! :) There are people out there who appreciate it

Seeing how worried he was about the charting made me sad. I'm sure he internalized everything that's been said about them underperforming last year.

Pressure and being scrunitized come with the celebrity business but Hanbin's been in way too many situations where he felt he was worthless if he couldn't overachieve and carry his whole team to success, thanks to YG. He's only 21. unsure.png

This is the reason why I doubt the “big 3 privilege†some people are spouting about. These idols fought hard to get to big 3 company then they had to battle it out for years as trainees to even considered to debut. After debut, they are constantly under scrutiny if they would live up to the legacy of their company. Big 3 privilege is not always a good thing cause it put so much pressure to these idols’ shoulders. Can’t imagine the stress they’re under whenever they release something.

Especially if you're in the same company as Bigbang

Looking at it in this light, it actually makes me appreciate Ikon more. It’s best that they learned about humility in this stage of their career. Let’s walk on flower paths from now on, Ikon.

It's one thing to be humble and modest but he's just straight up deprecating himself and his own worth which is not the same. The music industry is really harsh and the public can be so cruel, one of the reasons why I can never put myself out there or dream of being famous. He shouldn't blame himself though. His group hasn't been receiving the best treatment under YG's management...

Even before joining YGEnt, BI was dubbed the 2nd GD. This expectation from YG, the media, the public, and him to achieve what GD achieved is more apparent after joining YGEnt since both are known leaders, rappers, and songwriters-producers of their groups. So one can only imagined the constant stress he's under being compared to GD, and the lackluster responses so far from both the Korean and international public must did some damage to his self-confidence for him to be talking like this.

When I first got into iKON Hanbin was one of my least fav. Its mostly bcoz I couldn't relate to his too strong confident image.

I realized then that he's actually the softest or at least one of the softest in iKON. It seems like he used to feel like he needs to show a strong image always. Though he needs to stop dissing himself, its good that he at least dont feel the need to pretend anymore.

Hanbin used to be pretty confident but later in some interviews,he lost his confidence like when he was asked if he wanted to another survival,he was pessimistic that he could make it.

Then he turned off his phone before the release and now this, B listers.

All the articles last year must have gotten him hard. iKON were called names so much and it broke my heart because people judged iKON solely from their charting performances. It sucks so bad.
