[+728, -5] What kind of stupid clarification is this... they're both human beings and I'm sure the stunt double is a woman too... so Kim So Hyun can't do it but it's perfectly okay for the stunt double? In this freezing weather? Why do you even need a stunt double for a scene where all she's doing is going in the water?? Do these directors realize that stunt doubles are people who feel cold too?...

Maybe I think this because i'm a movie fan who has had to see actors take life-threatening risks for a role multiple times but I don't understand how this can be turned into a controversy.

 

And I am sure this post will be received negatively but is my honest opinion.

they need to be more careful about how they treat actors and staff in korea, obviously, but, practically, are they just not supposed to film on days when it's cold? they could wait for a warmer day, i guess, but it's been below freezing every day for like a month now and there are deadlines to meet. I guess they could cut the scene if possible, but...

 

what I'm trying to say is that even in the US where we supposedly have better safety standards, actors still have to film in freezing conditions sometimes.

Obvs this person didnt read the PD’s statement.... She did do it. The stunt double was used for additional takes. Anyway this was so stupid. There’s an artic wave going on in Korea and they still filmed it outdoors. I’m sure they could’ve found a better alternative to the scene like shoot it indoors (set) or something if they didnt rush so much with filming smh.

Maybe, because it was already criticism of low safety for drama staff (and a staffer of Korean Odyssy fell from height and has suffered paralyze) and, instead of explaining there was professional rescue team on the spot to make sure no one would face critical injury, he explained "we used stunt double".

seriously? She's not the director, she doesn't get to decide whether to do a scene on her own or not. That's the director's call. And also she did shoot those scenes on other days so???
