I'm grateful for idols' box MVs in K-pop

I'll take actual sets that are pretty looking over cheap looking CG and green screen shiz that some J-idols have in their PVs. It's horrible.

And o h m y g o d even AKB48 had a shitty PV earlier this year with green screens and possibly the shittiest CG blanket things I have ever seen.

:omgwtf: :omgwtf: :omgwtf: :omgwtf:

There's so much more than those though, it's just scratching the surface tbh. Sometimes they can actually look okay like Momusu's "Help Me" PV or Fairies' sub-unit M3's PV but the majority of the time, they are just bad.

Dying at the PVs you posted, what the actual fuck.. |:

and yeah, I don't think majority of box MVs are THAT bad. Most of them look pretty good actually. It's just that I prefer MVs that are shot outside the studio. But of course it depends, I'm fine with whichever suits the song and the storyline the best.

momoclo would never  :datass:

LOL Castle don't jinx it  :hehe:

Euughh at AKB's So Long. That period was officially the turn off moment for my AKB stanning period. Lousy single, crappy MV even the 1 hour version story isn't worth it.

I don't have any problem with box MVs, it's the method of directing in KPop that I find rather redundant. But yeah even the worst in KPop isn't as bad as those vids you posted.

Some say yes, some say no. I don't really know.

Whoever said they are must have not checked their music because its obvious they aren't.  This is new for me to hear someone called them an idol group.

I'm not saying you did. :)

They aren't. They are under Avex and are a Eurobeat co-ed group.

That's good to know, thanks. I've always been under the impression they aren't, but so many people disagreed I started doubting myself.

You were right.

Don't doubt yourself.

I guess people think that all the Japanese groups  are idols.  :omg:

In some other thread, that Sim guy said Generations were idols when they are a vocal & dance group not idols.

The producer of that PV is actually an award winning film producer who won awards for his achievement in film

He just like using green screen in his movies to generate a "surreal" effect

So it's not cheap, it's art desu~  :hoplz:

Okay that 2nd one is really bad. But like the 1st one, I think the CG actually makes it cute and fun.

The last one is really bad too. Are you sure these directors are even qualified? LOL.

Director for AKB So Long
