There's so much more than those though, it's just scratching the surface tbh. Sometimes they can actually look okay like Momusu's "Help Me" PV or Fairies' sub-unit M3's PV but the majority of the time, they are just bad. It's visually pleasing and not every song requires some elaborate story line. but yeah. Some J-pop pvs look cheap as hell. Most of the time it's the songs that save it. Most of them look pretty good actually. It's just that I prefer MVs that are shot outside the studio. But of course it depends, I'm fine with whichever suits the song and the storyline the best. That period was officially the turn off moment for my AKB stanning period. Lousy single, crappy MV even the 1 hour version story isn't worth it. I don't have any problem with box MVs, it's the method of directing in KPop that I find rather redundant. But yeah even the worst in KPop isn't as bad as those vids you posted.
