Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

As much as I love this, it's not really widely known and we can't really know if Tae knows it. That said, if anyone in BTS would randomly know this and wear a shirt because of it it would be Tae lol

Sometimes a Sesame Street shirt is just a Sesame Street shirt.

I mean, it's not the first time Tae has been seen with Bert and Ernie stuff. Remember those dolls?

Tbh tho, that's probably a reach

I know I should probably search through this thread but, why do people think Namjoon is bisexual?

To me, he just comes across as an ally and open-minded rather than someone who is actively interested in both genders. Like on the Kinsey scale he would be in between a 1 and a 2, open to something happening but not actively seeking it. I guess that would still be bisexual but...

Although, this is from my limited understanding and i'm sure there are people in here more educated on this. 0u0plz.png

There is a post here that compilates very single thing that may indicate that he is not straight, but since the search bar is not working I can't find it...

Some of the things that I can remember (and can be somewhat exagerated, because I'm only saying what I remember) are:

Him masturbating to a book that has gay/bi sex (IIRC it was a menage between to men and a woman (?))

Him calling Pharrel sexy once or twice (The first time was in BBMAs 2019 and the other one in the last Grammys)

This:

He said about Jin "It feels good to be kissed by a handsome guy" when Jin had to kiss his cheek as a punishment (I don't remember if it was before or after the kiss tho)

Did the mods just integrate the Jokwon and Holland thread into this one, or is my phone glitching?!

I mean we know they are gay, but...

If they did, then it's really offensive

I get it when they merge threads speculating about male idols sexuality into this thread because that's the purpose of the thread and making another thread doesn't make sense

But in this case it's just a picture between two idols... It's not speculation... Why would a picture not be allowed to have its own thread when others do?

MV ist out!

Comparing Boy in Luv and Boy With Luv they are really embracing the lightness and look happier than ever.

Especially Jimin is slaying those dancemoves:

0:33

0:43

1:10 (yes strike that pose!)

A few posts earlier the clip about Jimin shows that he doesnt worry about proofing anything anymore so he can be himself and i can clearly see it in the MV.

I love the pastel /rose/white colour in this, too.

It's probably the filters of the MV, but it looks like Tae is wearing lipstick from 3:30 onwards

Anyway, the song was unexpectedly gender neutral, even the version of the album (where Halsey sings the entire chorus) is gender neutral (except for the boy with luv part, ofc). Idk, I was kinda expecting them to go to the het route (maybe because of the Halsey feat) and I wouldn't mind if they did, but RM had said before that they purposely try to make the songs gender neutral because "love has no gender, race, etc.". I'm really grateful that they are still doing that.

It seems like there's a page in Persona's photobook that is a sequence of mini photos

It starts with just a closet, but then the closet opens and Yoongi, Hoseok and Taehyung comes out of it

(Notice the rainbow coat)

I don't know if it means anything... I'm not even sure at this point lol

Jungkook cried during Halsey's performance (which was really gay)

This don't need to be a receipt of him possibly being LGBTQ, I just tought that it was really nice to see him appreciating an LGBTQ performance laugh.png

I doubt most of the members understood anything. Except RM and maybe yoongi they look clueless

Judging by their reactions, at least RM, Yoongi and Jungkook understood it to some degree (especially RM of course)

The others seemed to be more focused after he started to say "LGBTQ"

I really doubt anyone but RM understood what they were talking about. Yoongi maybe got the general gist, if that. Their English skills are very beginners level. Unless they had a translator talking to them with in-ears.

You're understimating them, tbh

Yeah, that may be true about Jin, Hobi, Jimin and Tae, but Jungkook has been studying english a lot and it shows (in the vlive after the BBMAs and in the recent interviews he was able to speak pretty well long sentences and say words that weren't in his vocabulary before) and Yoongi has said back in 2013 that he does understand english

Plus, LGBTQ is an universal word

Speaking of Jungkook:

We love a non-conforming king :lovestruck:

About the dating rumors, tbh I don't know what to think. I lean more towards it not being true and they being just friends (she is also friends with Yugyeom, so who knows), but I could totally see them together and it wouldn't really change my opinion about him being lgbt+ (hey, bisexuality exists!!)

"I didn't know I'd fall for a guy". Would Jungkook say this if he was actually attracted to men? He's always been a mystery to me — not showing any obvious signs of attraction to anyone — but comments like this can be telling. Closeted people are far less likely to joke about same-sex attraction.

You have a point..

things to consider before writing a posting 'receipts' on a possibly LGBTQ idol:

1. we should think twice when assuming someone's sexuality because this is also a way of inciting prejudice and stereotypes against sexual minorities. this industry has a lot of diversity behind the curtains, straight celebrities can befriend LGBT celebrities, but they are just not open about it for several reasons such as homophobia and the fact that exposing it can actually ruin one's career which is extremely sad;

also having gay friends and supporting them shouldn't imply that the person is also gay, but that's what happens and it's sad that celebrities don't want to have their names related to queer people in korea.

2. wearing rainbow flags is not receipt for one's sexuality and it changes nothing for the community unless they(the idols)'re open about it (that's my opinion, but i do think it is cute to see idols holding LGBTQ flags and all);

3. i know there's a lot of debate around it and here is what i think: be careful of hardcore queerbaiting fanservice since it might make our minds go wild, but at the end of the day they're doing that solely for the audience's entertainment since it's their job even if the one doing it is possibly gay/bi, etc (i also think there's no way you will be able to touch your colleague's crotch and kiss them on the lips if you're feeling uncomfortable with it, call it being professional or being gay af - or even sexually deprived depending on how you see it lol);

this is INDEED incredibly sexy and implicits the discovery of sexual behavior, but it's a concept - a really cool one imo

but

...

i love him for that tho

4. during variety shows, vlives and stuff you'll be able to see skinship. here is what i think: skinship is a natural thing and it shows the level of your intimacy with someone, but to me this is doesn't decisively implies that you're gay or sexually attracted the person you've touched. is it an attempt show your love to your friend and colleague publicly? may be. does it mean anything else other than friendship? we'll never know unless you - the audience - have a feeling about it.

does the following segment make the idols involved seem gay or just friendly?

i'm just saying these things bc sometimes i see too much reaching and it's fine as long as i doesn't get too dilusional? it's not like there are no korean gay forums out there where queer people talk about their favorite celebrities sexuality, but we should be able to distinguish some things, u know? korea (just as a bunch of other countries) is not very open about sexuality in general and i think this kind of thread and the users actually carry a great responsability in leading this kind of discussion to the international fanbase. it is fun and it should also happen in a respectful and not invasive way. idols are purely entertainers and there's limit to how much they can serve our egoistic fantasies since they are also people in their free time lol.

the amount of secondhand embarrasment i get from reading comments of chefsuke's IG about sehun or even fans making ship comments that actually sound like sexual harassment... you guys, don't be like that. remember when fans put a big ass yunjae banner at a tvxq's concert an yunho ACTUALLY looked distressed oof, it happens quite a lot.

Not in the mood to read this all but I just want to tell you that receipts are not treated in the same way... Like, an idol liking and lgbt+ musician will not hold the same weight as a receipt as this same idol saying that his ideal type is not limited to women. The latter would be the bigger and msot important receipt and the former would only work as a minor receipt that would complimente the bigger one.

About fanservice, this has been discussed a lot already, it's really a question mark. I think most consider it a "they're confortable enough to do that, so there are high chances that they aren't lgbtphobic".

Another thing is that this threas is also a place to post things that aren't exactly a receipt, like an idol just being progressive in general or a cute moment between two idols. Not everything posted here is a receipt.

And about the first topic in your post, this has been discussed a lottttt, I don't even wanna try...

What do you think about this thread?

A lot of those are a reach, but Jungkook does seem to not care about gender norms when it comes to the things he wears/does.

Btw, this happened while OH was down:

The little animation in the end!!!
