This was pre debut though... lots of efforts for people who made him do "fanservice" with guys for years. I think he talked about her several times too? How they were together for a long time but broke up because of his idol life? It doesn't make him straight, or even bi/pan if he was not truly in love/attracted of course. I just think it's more likely that it was "real".

 

They tried to "degay" him by not allowing him to speak though (and then didn't edit his ideal type "HK" because yeah, so straight. Such hetero). And then he started to speak more, never stopped, gayed forever.

I hope that when he finishes his military service, he will be as "free" as Heechul. I don't want him to keep pretending (half of the time) that he likes girls if that's not the case. Maybe things will change in the years to come. I certainly hope so. It's time.

About Kaistal, I think it's quite believable that they are together. It doesn't make either of them straight for sure, but I do think they are really in a relationship. The fact that it was revealed like that is shady though. For real. 

Baekyeon is still a mystery for me. I don't follow them enough to understand the situation. 

I do think Jonghyun really had a girlfriend (hence Key's distress) but I don't believe in Myungsoo's relationship? The One Direction's theory seem really fun too. I don't follow them at all so I wouldn't know, but more drama than Yunjae, that's impressive.

 

And if we are talking about SM creating couples to hide other things... sometimes I wonder if Yunho and Boa will be "together" one day. They are friend, obviously love each other (platonically obviously, but still) and could both face quite dangerous (gay) rumours at some point. It would work well since so many people already ship them haha.

I'm watching the second day with Heechul and NCT U. Heechul needs to host like everything. He's hilarious.

 

I honestly don't know who besides Ten. They are all kind of feminine in their body language, so I don't want to speculate based on bland normal traits, like feminine or timid. but Ten definitely seems to just have ping in his movements.

 

 

Edit: You know what's weird? Taeyong has a lot of Jaejoong's mannerisms too.

I watched the two videos (because Heechul!) and it seems like they are trying to create another Jaejoong. I don't see it that much in his face, but when asked about his strength, physical traits... etc. We end up with hips smaller than a girl, a guy who cooks very well, who is cold at first but close to people when you know him, who takes care of others... It's quite funny.

And in the end... what is he going to be in ten years? Yunho.    Heechul is having fun with this one. 

 

The one who "pings" the most is still Heechul, but Ten and... Doyoung? (red hair) do too. They are still new, and young, and not used to what they are doing so it's really not conclusive though.

My guess at this point goes to Jaejoong, taken all together. He's even made investments outside the showbiz, I think he low-key wants to be prepared and secure.

 

I also think he's going to come out at some point but I don't see him being the first. In my opinion, he is too worried about his image and the way people see him for that. He's insecure, always scared of losing fans, of being forgotten... I can see him being more at ease with that after the army, but coming out first, not really.

Aside from his investments, he has a huge fanbase in Japan too. I think it would be more accepted there?

About Kai, I've always thought he's pretty much open minded about things in general and seriously he's such a sweetheart, he acknowledges fanboys in a really cool way, he is also very different offstage --- what I mean is that he's confusing. But yeah he can wear dresses (their fanmeeting in Japan), he can do a little bit of ballet here and there, and it just looks like he isn't the type to suddenly go: "Oh no, my manly image, I won't wear that, I won't do that." He also didn't have a problem with sharing a pepero stick or whatever it was with some random dude on Taemin's wgm lol   I'm not saying it makes him anything but yeah... It's also good to remember that he is a really private and reserved person so it's difficult to tell sometimes. But he pings me ocasionally. And just like for the rest of you, his dating scandal seems suspicious to me, but I don't wanna dwell on that, even if he's in a relationship with Krystal, it doesn't mean he can't be bi/pan.

 

But yeah, did you see his live broadcast on v app? He acted kinda different there (could be due to stress, i know) but his gestures, everything about him just pinged me so damn hard omg, it was also really rare to just see him talk all by himself, so yeah where do I start.

I agree, as a fan of David Bowie, I doubt Kai would have a problem with alternative gender expressions 

 

I don't think it says much about his sexual orientation, but at least, he's open minded. I honestly don't know what to think about his orientation. I'd like to think that he's with Krystal (because it would be nice for them if they were in love) but one is never sure in this industry. He has a lot of chemistry with A LOT of different people. I think I understand your feeling, as I am not a big fan of religions myself, but I have to disagree.

I mean, we can't compare #notallmen and #notallmuslims. Men are privileged while Muslims are not (at least in Europe and the US). When a man rapes a woman (and we come back to this... what a day...) no one is going to blame ALL men for this. While with terrorism from Daesh, many people will affirm that ALL muslims are dangerous people. After the terrorist attacks in Paris, muslim people where afraid of the backlash and some people asked the muslim community to apologize. Apologize for what? People are individuals, they act differently, even believe and practice their religion differently. Daesh is terrorising muslim people in many places. If they represented Islam, it would be way, way different. 

I don't like religions, but I don't hate those who believe as long as they don't hurt other people. There are lots of religious people who support the LGBT* community or who are part of it. (But yes, I know, that's not all of them...).

It IS important to criticize systemic homophobia, and religious leader's stance on the LGBT* community, and sexism, homophobia, transphobia justified by religions. I do. But it is also important to remember that hate against Muslims is a thing. In the US, Trumps wants to register all Muslims in the country. As a French person, believe me, it rings a bell (they did it with Jews during WWII, we all know how it went). Trump, who is supported by A LOT of Americans, which says A LOT about people's opinions...

And I'm not even talking about the situation of refugees in Europe right now. It's just... disgusting.

i'm from Indonesia and i st2g, all the fangirls are the "i ship them because if i cant have them, i'd rather them be together" or "look at them being lovey dovey, god they're so cute and i write fics about them but NO HOMO" kind of fangirls.

I could definitely be wrong, but tbh I see Hani as a massive lesbian and Junsu definitely doesn't seem straight to me. Also, frankly I'm suspicious of any confirmed kpop couple. I mean who knows, but I feel like in kpop where they usually try to keep any dating activity under wraps, there's usually an agenda to publicizing it. 

 

I always question confirmed couples too, but I can't find a reason why these two persons would end up in this specific relationship... I mean, Hani had her moment last year, and she became popular because of a sexy video (even if she is worth much more than that of course). I don't think her getting a boyfriend would be wise, even for publicity purposes?

Now, she could be trying to sell a more mature image... Maybe?

I don't think Hani is straight either, obviously, so dispatch could have something on her with another girl too.

And Junsu? He doesn't need this kind of popularity. He sells out his concerts and musicals and doesn't even need to be promoted.

So why would they end up in a fake relationship? Hani could need a cover, that, I can understand. But Junsu? Why would Junsu of all people do it? Why not Heechul (ok, maybe not), Jackson?? People she knew before? 

So there are two solutions: either dispatch had something on Junsu (or something about Jaejoong with a man, Yoochun with... issues...), or Junsu is so much an ally that he agreed to do it just like that (he definitely doesn't need money). 

 

 

Or maybe Junsu is in a relationship with a guy, or knows he will be at some point. And he's aware that having a girlfriend once in his lifetime is enough for Korea to justify his straightness forever. 

 

It seems so far fetched to do something like that. But then again, it's kpop we are talking about so it is always possible. 

There is always the option that Junsu did flirt with her and she let him because he is a famous senior, he sings well, knows many people and seems like a kind guy in general? People start relationships without being in love everyday. Just because she's an idol doesn't mean she can't.

 

 

Anyway, we'll never know obviously. I'll just say that if they are together, they might match quite well, him being in touch with his "feminine" side, and her being not so conventionally feminine in her behaviour (for Korea!). It must be nice not to have to conform with gender norms all the time, especially in a romantic relationship. It's so tiring sometimes.

 

Also I want to see pictures of the wedding with Heechul, Jaejoong and Gunhee at the same table making fun of them.

Just as a general point, I don't think we should let some people's over-the-top theories make us think that fake dating in the entertainment industry doesn't happen. It might not be the case for every suspected couple, but it definitely does happen. I know American celebrities have spoken openly about having had beards or bearding for other celebs (and yes, celebrities who were popular and didn't *need* to do it still did it, either for extra publicity or just as a favor for a friend). Even recently, there have been celebs photographed with their "dates" by paparazzi just months before coming out. Staged dating is done for all sorts of reason in the entertainment industry--covering up another story, covering up sexuality, or just mutual promo. Honestly, most people recognize that many celebrities have staged public images, so why are people so adamant that none of their relationships could be staged? It just doesn't make sense.

I think most people here don't believe in Baekhyun and Taeyeon, or Myungsoo and whatever her name was. 

Many are still not sure about Kai and Krystal, Jonghyun and don't remember her name either (sorry!).

Even for Junsu and Hani, MANY people questionned it (I may be absolutely wrong when I say I think it's plausible that they are together too).

okay. i just think its unusual in countries like germany, russia, united states or turkey. i think greece, italy and france are more open-minded / have more skinship.

France may be more open minded (allez dire ça à "La manif pour tous"   ) but skinship between people of the same gender is mostly for girls. I don't see many boys being close like that, unless they are children, gay, making fun of gay people, or drunk. We do kiss on the cheek to say hello/goodbye (mostly girl-girl and girl-boy while two boys would shake hands or whatever but it depends), but this is not skinship per se.

Ahhh, I didn't know that. I'm assuming it was during the era when they were part of the real life F4? Those two, along with T.O.P and Yoochun were tight for a while, so I'm not surprised to hear they lived together. (And I doubt anything happened between them.)

I think it was after DBSK's split, so Jaejoong was probably in a pretty bad place, and they were both travelling a lot (in Japan mostly), so they didn't see each other much.

Can I ask - I see Jaejoong a lot on this thread, and most of the opinions are of the 100% gay variety. What exactly has he done that has so convinced everyone? I hear he's had girlfriends in the past (not that that's proof he's straight or anything - could always be a beard or he's bi, which is what I mainly get vibes of)

 

Yes, there is a video of him with a girlfriend pre-debut, as well as pictures of him kissing a male "friend". 

Why gay and not bi then? It's hard to say.

 

He has expressed multiple times that he won't be able to get married. His parents have asked him to bring home a child EVEN if there is no mother, and if you follow his relationship with his nieces and nephew, he seems like he would like to have children too.

 

I would mention his lack of chemistry with his female co-stars as well. He's not a bad actor, but he's still learning I guess, so it shows a little bit. He can have amazing chemistry with guys though...

 

He said he had never written a song for a girl, put "Just another girl" as his title song, and then explained that it didn't come from personal experience. If he isn't lying and has really never written a song for a girl (he has though, for his birth mother: Wasurenaide, but it doesn't count here), I find it hard to explain all the songs about love he has written. At least some of it has to come from past experiences, right? 

 

His behaviour with girls (not fans, but staff, co-stars, dancers...) is also much more natural than what can be seen in the industry. Less distant, maybe? As if he knew there would be no ambiguity.

Oh, and also, no dating scandal?? Like... dispatch (I think?) released pictures of him with a girl in a bar at night... and it was one of his sisters. He has been out there for 13 years, goes out and drinks a lot... and no dating scandal? This is quite impressive at least.

 

So yeah, nothing really conclusive. You could probably explain most of it with fanservice and his flirty nature. It's more a feeling I guess. I'd like to hear why people think he might be bi though, it's always interesting!

The "only RapMon is straight in BTS" crew is back. 

You know your gaydar is bad when only one guy is straight out of 7 members.

I've said it once but I'm going to say it again: Before Super Junior and DBSK, there were several pre-debut groups. One of them, called "Four Seasons", was composed of Heechul, Kangin, Jaejoong and Yunho. 

Now, I don't know Kangin that well, but I don't see him mentioned here so I'm going to go with straight... But I don't think anyone has doubts about the other three being gay, or at least part of the LGBT community. That makes 3/4. 

 

Again, I don't know BTS that well either, but I don't see an issue in almost all people in a group being part of the LGBT community in a way.

I have several groups of friends, and the majority of them/us are not straight. I'm not saying it is the case for the whole population, just that it happens (and probably even more in the music/dance industry, at least for men).
