Ya, his reaction then was weird. Umm, other than that, I don't really know if there are receipts. But I'm not completely disregarding him either coz with Jin, you never know when he's acting up for the cameras and when he's being himself (like JHope). People like him probably need a lot more time to figure out.

 

 

I remember back in 2013 people were shipping him and Kidoh and he even got asked about their relationship during one of their fansigns and Jin responded in a very "no homo" way. He seems straight to me

I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing underage idols, some gay people know their sexuality when they're around 13/14/15. I'm the same age as them and am pretty sure in my sexuality, so I have no reservations. Though some older people in here are uncomfortable with discussing them, and that's okay.

I think this thread has a weird relationship with Jungkook and his sexuality to be honest. Everyone talks about how Jimin, J-Hope and Jin ping them and everyone was talking about the video the Taehyung posted as being a "couples" video because it was Tae.

 

Maybe it's just me but I feel like people write off a lot of the stuff Jungkook does because he doesn't fall into the more stereotypical behaviors. Especially compared to other members in his group. Like yeah, sleeping in the other member's bed and his physical affection is most likely 100% platonic but more and more it's starting to seem like he isn't straight when you look at stuff outside that.

 

Same thing happens with Suga. I rarely see him on the list of BST members people think they are gay/bi despite the fact he point blank said gender didn't matter to him in an interview. He isn't stereotypical so people overlook him.

 

Like lowkey, sometimes I wonder if the reason Suga is so soft with Jungkook (especially compared to the rest) is because they're both queer. It could also explain why BH has continued implying their characters in the universe they created are romantically involved if they're the two members who aren't straight.

I'm pretty sure the general consensus in here is that BTS' gay line is Taehyung, Jimin, and Suga? I've seen literally everyone agree that Suga is bi/pan, there may not be a lot of discussion on him but that's because there's nothing really to discuss because #EverybodyKnows. And I've seen more people in here say that J-Hope and Jin are straight, but opinions seem to be kinda divided. I think discussing BTS members will always have a mix of opinions, becauae you could make a convincing case for all the members liking men.

I think Sehun is 100% gay, mainly because of these reasons:

 

• Xiumin and Chen said Sehun is the member they'd least like to date if they were girls and emphasised it was only because they wouldn't want to date Sehun *as girls*. The MC also said "because of privacy we'll skip the reason"
• When Xiumin was asked which member he would let his sister meet, Suho jokingly said "Sehun" [meaning you can trust Sehun around women]
• When a fan asked him to write "my girlfriend" on a piece of paper, he just kept on laughing and only wrote "girlfriend"
• Q: When you meet a girl, will you take initiative or not? A: I will just silently wait

Also ngl I do think there is a double standard here, there was a Kaisoo post where Kai literally whispered to DO and it had about 6 upvotes - same with Verkwan where Vernon literally looked at Seungkwan and it was posted here. Imagine if someone posted a Taekook post where V only looked at Jungkook (it's pretty much already been done but you get my point). Not to mention Ongniel, which is a very fanservice-y ship, but moments that have no correlation to their sexuality are posted here despite there being an EXTREMELY popular thread for Ongniel in the Shipping section. Sorry it's almost midnight here and I'm really tired, so I'm just saying I think it's important to take your shipping goggles off and ask yourself if something really warrants being posted in this thread (also I think couples like Jongkey and Gunheechul are sorta exceptions to this but that's a matter for another time).

I just realised before BTS went to America I thought there were max 4 gay/bi men in the group (Suga, Jimin, V, and I was a little iffy with Jungkook), but now I think there might be a possibility Namjoon and Jin are part of that group, ESPECIALLY Namjoon. I'm seriously side-eying him so much now (I was before as well but not to this extent).

Yes, people assume people like Key or Ren are gay because they are effeminate, but some of them say that Yunho or Jonghyun are staight because they are manly.(Im not talking in this thread, im talking about in general) that I want to ask you about Daehwi. People said he is gay because he is effeminate. But I never really see, him showing attraction to men. So what do you think?

I know I wasn't who you directed this to, but I don't know a lot about Daehwi so I'll just reply to the last question. The reason why so many people can stay in the closet is because of people's willingness to turn a blind eye to things that may be "suspicious". Korea is a perfect example of this, as there have been so many instances where a male idol (or a female idol) has said things that clearly indicate they are into the same sex, but a lot of people (even international fans) scramble to find solutions to what they said. Common phrases: "he didn't mean it like that", "he was just joking around", "it's a mistranslation", "it's fanservice" etc. I mean, look at Tony and Jaeduck. They are clearly a couple, but because of Korea's conservative culture everyone just ignores it. Imagine if a man and woman had been caught doing half the stuff they've been doing. That's why it's so incredibly easy for people to remain closeted, as thanks to the heteronormative society we live in, people will just assume you're straight unless you record a video of yourself walking out of a closet with a giant rainbow flag draped over yourself, saying the words "I'm gay" (and even then, I'm sure it would still be up for debate).

 

Also as a sidenote, if you are sure or think you know someone's sexuality, outing someone is an incredibly horrible thing to do. Having gone through that experience myself, it's not pleasant at all, and that's why some people just prefer to stay closeted to everyone they know.

Kai's onstage persona is very fuckboy-ish. Constant smirking and he dances quite sexually. Idk if you've ever seen an EXO performance but I recommend watching a few (from one of their concerts) so you can see how he acts. And then you can compare and contrast with his offstage persona. Very quiet + shy and he doesn't smile/laugh a huge amount (especially compared to those like Chanyeol or Baekhyun). Recently he also talked about his personality himself:

There are homophobic GIRLS? When I thought girls would be the easiest ally a gay could have. It's sad but also in hindsight, a blessing for me, cause seeing our friend, Jazi, being attacked like that when my girls are all chill and gave no fucks. I think we just have to give those teens some time not. Cause my circle and I are in the range of 25-26 year old but being homophobic has nothing to do with age, more towards the environment, culture, religious teaching and the persons themselves.

I mean...it's kinda hard to categorise an entire group of people lol. There are millions of gay men in this world, if someone were to make categories, one gay man could fit into most of them, or all of them, or none of them. And a lot of the time there's no way of knowing if a man is gay just by looking at how he interacts with women - some get scared, some are uncomfortable, some treat them like old friends. As for sexually, a gay man can definitely admire a woman's body. There are plenty of gay men who like women's bodies, they're just not interested in having sex with them  This is why I personally don't put too much stock into one solitary gif of a man showing attraction towards a woman e.g that gif of Sehun looking at a model at a fashion show.
