with jin, it's just like a compilation of many little things to me tbh. (im sorry this sounds so weak giwhghwe) but it's like his body language (ex. the way he does stuff like what someone said earlier in the thread about pics and just the way he carries himself daily like sit ughh do im horrible at explaining myself) and he seems to me like someone who's self-aware and accepts himself ish? im not saying i think he's gay bc he seems to have good self esteem but basically all of the little stuff adds up to me reading him as a gay man who has accepted his sexuality.

I think that he is gay, or at least bi. In Running Man I think he is more aware of man, of their bodies, sometimes he check them out, with women he don't do that often or never. In this so called 'love line' he seems not interested in the girl, it's seems forced.

Has anyone listened to the new songs from NCT 127? One thing I noticed when I looked up the translation is that 4 of the 6 songs from their new album are gender neutral? besides the somewhat standard "babe" and "baby" part which in my opinion can be directed to both boys and girls. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

 

Oh and I thought the following lines from the song "Limitless" could be quite interesting too:

 

"Let’s change the stiff world to be flexible"

 

"This heavy world should change"

"We are free Look at us"

 

What do you guys think about this?

I wouldn't consider the neutral pronoun songs to be anything suspicious, since pronouns are easily omitted in korean so a lot of songs are actually very gender neutral. The lyrics are vague, they could be suspicious, if more context suggested so, but overall not very, sorry :(

On levels of proof, would you consider Kyungil and Yijeong from History to be near that level? I've said before that if they were in the Western music industry, they'd be pretty much openly dating (but, in this context, of course, you just never know for sure)

Well, Kyungil did post a screenshot on Instagram of himself watching a "cute kyungjeong moments" fan video (then sadly deleted it), tagged a picture of himself and Yijeong as "kyungjeong", occasionally tags pictures of Yijeong as some variation of girlfriend/date......they often do the "lovestagram" thing that couples in Korea occasionally do (posting similar photos at similar times). There's a selfie Yijeong took of himself shirtless and lying down with what looks like Kyungil's hair and the edge of a handcuff (!) in the background........always initiating skinship themselves, flirting very publicly beyond what I'd call fanservice, Yijeong once said he looked rich then called him oppa (lmao), and in a radio interview someone asked Kyungil if he was gay, to which he replied (and I quote), "I like girls, but" [allegedly looked at Yijeong, not sure about this though] "I like someone who likes me". If History was more popular, I don't think they'd ever go this far with it. Either this is some quality fanservice born from being very, very comfortable with each other, or they're mild exhibitionists who enjoy dropping hints.

 

Now Kyungil's enlisted, we just have to play the waiting game for more receipts

About the fact that only 4/5 groups are regularly discussed, it will be hard for it not to. They are discussed because they are the trending groups atm, so a lot of people know them well. Conversation on less popular groups is initiated, and is hardly ever carried on, I think it is because a lot of people don't know the groups well enough to give their opinions :(

I used to stan VIXX so hard, but I never used to collect receipts so I basically have no receipts for you guys...

 

My speculation on VIXX:

N: gay. I was suspicious until I saw a video of N and a colleague (from one of his acting gigs),the guy hugged N, and N was literally glowing, and he just looked so into the guy, I was sold.

Hongbin: gay. Big crush on Park Hyoshin. I have never seen him show interest in women but he could be bi I guess. Hongbin alluded to gay marriage, Hyuk confirmed it. Also Hyuk's comment about how Hongbin isn't qualified to give others girl advice or smth like that.

Ravi: bi/straight?? His answers can be very vague, also the 'gender doesnt matter in liking someone', also he pings

Ken: I had a qualityâ„¢ gif of Ken from 2012, miming sucking a D on my old phone :'(, he pings, so gay/bi?? I'm like 50% confident on him

Leo: he seems straight I guess, although he likes Hongbin's abs a lot?? And Ken's butt

Hyuk: straight and very supportive

 

Also I am going to chip in on the Kyungsoo discussion. Honestly I stanned exo for a long time and I have never seen him show interest in women. He seems very close to alot of his older actor friends, maybe he has a thing?? I know people hate Kaisoo but I think this is worth noting: when Kai and Kyungsoo first met, Kyungsoo couldn't look at Kai. It is probable that he found Kai attractive and was shy/flustered. Just my take on it.

Yup. Xiumin has a ton of fanboys in China, and that's one of the main proofs, imo. You either find guys hero worshipping the macho straight rappers, or running after obviously gay (in this case bi) cute boys. It happened with Kyungsoo, with Xiumin, Jaejoong and now Jimin. It's a pattern. There must be some truth to it.

 

As for Kai, no one who hasn't followed him and has an understanding of LGBT would agree that he's anything but straight. That's because of his image. Remember how difficult it was to get people to admit that Yunho was straight? I've cringed at comments like "Yunho's only gay for Jaejoong" or "He's Jaesexual". That's happening here. In a few years, he'll stop double thinking his every action, and he'll start acting like himself more in public settings, and then they'll see how not-so-straight Kai is.

 

 

 

Ya, I mean, being identified as LGBT is no walk in the park, no matter what people think. And I have reason to believe that a lot of straight people are fluid in their sexuality, and it's just the social stigma that's stopping them.

I've actually noticed that people are more ready to accept that "Most women are bisexual" than "most men", and I blame gender roles for that. Poor men.

Men tend to have a prefered sex, whereas 'straight' women don't. Probably why it is easier to say 'most women are bi' than 'most men'. Also gender roles probably do affect it a bit

Haha, but I have a preferred sex though? I think people should just not try to categorize and leave people to sleep/have relationship with any consenting, adult humans they want. Then we'll have no problems. One can wish.

The sexual arousal/attraction mentioned in that article (how straight women show same responses to both sexes)...hmm...there could be some truth to it (very small), but I still feel there is a distinction. We can't go around measuring responses in every woman though, so we can't know for sure..

 

Of course there will have to be more studies showing the same results before this conclusion has any reliability.

 

Labels have their criticisms, but without them a lot of people would feel more alone. Labels help people, because it makes people realise that there are people like them out there.

Men respond highly to their preferred sex and activity, while straight women respond mildly to everything (one study even showed women responding to monkeys fucking, lol). Lesbians do not have the same response as straight women because they are more masculine on average, so their responses are just like the men's. Straight women lubricating to everything is just an automatic response of their vagina to protect them from painful sex, it doesn't mean they are mentally aroused.

1. This answer is so far from everything Jongin is, he would never ever ever say something like that to a fan or to anyone in public. No idol would say that actually, but Jongin even more as he is always so mute about his private life. Not to mention how his career would be dead in one instant if that was spread out. Also, this shallowness "only if he is hot" is the opposite of what he has shown us so far.

2. A Korean fan would have never asked (or the probability is almost zero if you prefer) that to him and even if they did and jongin had miraculously answered them they would have never spread it online.

Well I have been out of reality before and I can guarantee you that I am not right now Just because I don't write off things as quickly as you doesn't mean I think the translation is legit in any way?? I made that clear when I said it. Also about the 'only hot men' thing being shallow. I know lots of people who aren't shallow but say things like that because it is assumed that gay people 'like anyone of the same sex', so making a conclusion like that is a bit much imo.
