Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

i think bts knows. didn't they have a member openly promote macklemore's "same love."

That doesn't mean he knows all LGBT symbols. I haven't seen this symbol before Key started wearing it either. I think the rainbow flag is the only one that pretty much everyone knows regardless of their sexual orientation or the country they live in.

I think he (like most of us) probably wouldn't have a clue as to the smaller symbol, but the big one in the middle is pretty common and self explanatory to boot.

You mean the Mercuy symbol? I knew what that was when I was a child. But I only learned about the transgender symbol like last year(?). :derp:

wait, according to the "about" section of the trailer for the gay short film, it isn't coming out until DECEMBER OF 2014.

wtaf. why not for a whole year? why are they releasing a trailer NOW of all times?

Oh really? o.o

I read it's going to be a 20-minute film. Why do they need a whole year to film and edit only 20 minutes? o.o

it must be a typo. it must mean 2013. because that just makes no sense, even if it were a full film. it's not like catching fire or anything where it's a huge expected hit fans have been waiting for since before the dawn of time.

Yep, typo. The movie poster says 2013.

Ah, I guess the Mercury symbol is a matter of exposure then... but the other one is still pretty self explanatory. Male, female, and combined.

He's big into the international fashion scene and Lady Gaga, so I'm 100% certain that he knows about lgbt stuff. Fashion is like the official gay pastime, and Gaga is their elected representative somehow, I swear  :derp:

Yes, I think Key knows what it means. I just don't think the rest of the idols who wore it know.

"But if they do lovey-dovey things right in front of you then I think it would bother people. It's the same as a normal couple doing lovey-dovey things. "

I thought couples being lovey-dovey was normal? I feel like I see couples making out every day..? Like in school and stuff  :donthinkso:

Not in Japan.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the comments on the site mentioned a foreign gay couple on a Japanese show. Here's the video if anyone wants to see them:

Yeah that true but i dont think she is has the ultimate decision alone, cuz her party did state later that it does need to create law to legalize same sex stuff

When did they state that? Every time I've ever read anything about her party's views on homosexuality, it's was never nice.

I found it here http://koreabridge.net/post/park-geun-hye-homosexuality-kimchi-queen.

Well the party also stated that it was abnormal or some sort but her personally  I dont think she has a problem, but the people working with her do

Umm....... You said "her party did state later that it does need to create law to legalize same sex stuff". Now you're saying they stated it was abnormal. I doubt they would want to legalise it if they think it is abnormal.

Oh god my bad ''DOes not'' if u read the article it does not shit sorry for the ocnfusion i wil go fix it

No problem. ^^

Btw, I found this:

"In an unexpected news conference, the National Assembly Morning Prayer Meeting, a group of Christian lawmakers led by Hwang Woo-yea of the governing Saenuri Party and Kim Jin-pyo of the supposedly liberal Democratic Party, demanded “immediate correction†of high school textbooks they believe are “encouraging†gay sex.

“Homosexual activity is subject to judgment about what’s right and wrong. We believe the government’s approach to the issue, which normalizes homosexual behavior and ignores the opinions against homosexuality, is truly wrong,†said Hwang, insisting that school books should be “balanced†with arguments that homosexuality is immoral and also describe why gay people live “unhappy†lives.

“The current textbooks are teaching distorted ethical values to students and increasing the possibility that they become homosexuals,†he said."

source: http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/culture/2013/08/135_141785.html

And this:

"Koreans still don’t like gays, though. Some 78.5% of respondents said they didn’t like homosexuals, although this number has come down year-to-year. That said, 42.5% of respondents in their 20s said they didn’t dislike gays, as opposed to only 8.3% of respondents of in their 60s. Some 53.0% of respondents in their 20s said same-sex marriage should be legalized, while only 7.6% of those in their 60s believed so. Interestingly, there was little ideological difference on the question of homosexuals—84.9% of conservatives and 70.3% of progressives disliked gays."

Looks like even the liberals are not that liberal in Korea, huh? ._.

i finally understand that clip. before, i just depended on the subs and i thought the hosts were just being derpy for the sake of being derpy like they seem to do occasionally.

but then i actually LISTENED this time and read the korean captions.

they are actually pointing out that he keeps saying "a person who" instead of saying "a girl who... ." they make a joke off of it by putting in the word "man" instead of "person" to show him that it can be interpreted many ways if he doesn't clarify. but he just keeps on saying "a person who," "a person who," "a person who." they keep teasing him and he says "why? is it weird?" actually, after that moment he doesn't know what to do, but he never uses the word "girl." instead he just leaves the noun blank and just kinda stops the sentence. XD

mini korean lesson:

in japanese/korean descriptive phrases (sorry, can't remember what they're officially called) such as "a man who likes fish" or "a dog which eats grass," the main noun actually comes last.

éšãŒå¥½ããªç”·ã®äºº == a man who likes fish

è‰ã‚’食ã†çЬ == a dog who eats grass

what sungjong is doing is leaving out the main noun which would come at the end. basically, he's saying "i like ... who do this," but in english it doesn't really work to do that. sungjong completes the whole description part, but stops because he doesn't know what noun to use since he refuses to use "girl" and they will tease him if he says "person."

eventually, the hosts just say "so you're saying you like girls who ___ ?" and he says "yes" but does not allow the word "girl" to come from his own mouth.

tl;dr, sungjong is 99% confirmed gay and doesn't want to directly lie about it (preferring to either be vague or simply silent).

I don't think they were joking about it because he spoke in a gender neutral way. I think it's because of the description of his ideal type. He said he wants someone who's not pretentious, funny and capable. Those are things usually girls look for in a guy. Guys usually want someone who's pretty and nice.

In the second episode that Infinite was guest, their ex member came and talked about how Sungjong slept with him. Now, I might not be an expert on what guys do when they are sad but I doubt many crawl into another man's bed for comfort. From people's reactions and Sungjong's reaction to the revelation, it seemed like it wasn't the only time he had done that.

Starts at about 7:54

Also lately I've been looking into Lay a lot more. His head always seems to be floating in the clouds and he has never shown any actual interest in women. The thing is, it's really noticable when he gets embarassed as seen in the many broadcasts EXO has done. When he feels shy or embarassed his face goes completely red. But he has never showed that with a girl. Even when Fei was seducing him. Now I might be speculating too much but...Yixing has showed that he is very comfortable with being touched by his members and even kissing them. While with women he seems so confused.

Bonus

Apparantely sometimes Tao walks butt naked in the dorm, according to Sehun  :har:

tumblr_mw8tudfJ0q1qe7lq8o10_r2_250.gif

Also in the recent C-radio podcast featuring Kris and Lay, Kris said that in the dorm Tao is the weirdest/has the weirdest habits.

The whole point of that Fei thing was that she was supposed to make him laugh. He kept a straight face because he didn't want to lose.

i thought it was more that the comedian was slipping it in as a continuation of sungjong's words (read: "ãã†ã„ã£ãŸç”·â€),

but i could easily be wrong with my limited understanding of the difference in usage/nuances of korean and japanese words and grammar.

You're right, that's what they said.

Here's Jaejoong's "I'm not a gay" fanvid you've been talking about.

HIGHLIGHTS:

He lays down with his crotch towards the audience and shows fans a heart between his legs @ 0:30

Says 'I love you' to a fanboy @ 2:08

"I'm not a gay" @ 2:23

Fails at doing the Gwiyomi @ 7:40, ends it with an erotic twist~

Throws a kiss (?) at a fanboy @ 11:30

Helds hand with another one (or the same one?) @ 12:20

But finds out that the fanboy has a girlfriend @13:05  (LOL.. He must be disappointed.)

Pretty much keeps talking about & searching for fanboys throughout almost the whole video. XD

About today's ep of R94:

http://youtu.be/-ydOLZE-Yt8

the hospital scene is all that happened between TrashxBing this ep, but I find it adorable/amazing that Trash ran to the ER right after hearing that Bing's mom was there, Also the fact that he made sure that Bing's mom would know exactly was was going on and that the staff took good care of her and kept him updated on her condition is just amazing.

There's also these 2 lines:

tumblr_mx1oa9WYkh1qcc2zwo2_500.png

(he knows Bing so well now)

tumblr_mx1oa9WYkh1qcc2zwo1_500.png

(this speaks for itself) :ahmagah:

I really have no clue what the producers are trying to do anymore. It looks like Trash likes NJ and wants to be with her (seeing as how he went to the musical with her and called it a date) and then we get scenes like this. It's so confusing. The only explanation I can come up with is that Trash is confused about his feelings. I just know is that the producers have to be up to something and that's the only reason i'm clinging on to TrashxBing anymore. If it wasn't for all of these scenes (the stares, the couple shirts, the touches in both the '94 and 2013 scenes, etc) I would definitely say that Trash likes/loves NJ and is her husband..ugh, idk.

I don't like Trash being so in love with Najung. Episode 11 and 12 were so different from the first 10 episodes. It just makes no sense to me. I'm still hoping for a plot twist at the end.

I was happy for that little Trash/Bing scene. I wish we would see more Trash/Bing interaction. Even if they're just friends, they're still cute together. I thought we were going to see them having their weekly meals but we haven't see them eat together even once. It's disappointing.

Reply 1994 Ep. 13.

Trash decided to confess to Najung at the hospital at night. He even bought her a heart shaped necklace and marked the date on his calendar. He was getting ready for their date but Najung called him telling she won't go because Yoojin suddenly got sick. (?) The next day(?) Najung goes to meet him and they kiss in front of the hospital at night.

Bing is in hospital but he seems healthy. He probably donated a kidney to his mother or something because he has stitches on his stomach. He was really cute, acted all embarrassed when Trash looked at his stitches.

Ep. 14. preview:
- Haitai goes to the military. -- This means he definitely won't be the husband since he won't be there for 2 years.
- Trash and Najung are all lovey-dovey now.

ugh, i want to throw up. if she's going to end up with trash there's like no point watching this drama after watching 1997. especially with its longer length and too much emphasis on ambiguity in the love line. at least it's finally moving forward, but it's in an awkward way and one that's been done before.

how does being away for 2 years throw haetae out of the running? i'm just desperate for anyone but trash (already gave up on bing x trash by the ep 11 preview two weeks ago so it's not that; i just do not like najung x trash)

I know right! There's really no point of eight more episodes of Trash/Najung, so I hope something will happen and they'll stop dating or this show will be really boring from now on. Today's episode was pretty boring as well. There were a lot of filler scenes that were completely useless.

There's usually only a few month differences between each episode, so if that's how it will be in the future as well, Haitai won't be back for 3-4 episodes. Nothing romantic ever happened between Najung and Haitai yet and I don't think it will happen in the last few episodes.

well, technically there have been a lot of subtle moments that have their impact. but i suspect it'll just stay the guilty pleasure ship of fans, similar to bingtrash.

also, i expect the time passage will speed up. it did so in 1997 as well, and it already seems to be gaining momentum now that 1995 has hit. plus, military service does not mean you are COMPLETELY cut off. you still have visits and breaks where he can see people. plus, i expect there will probably still be some phoning/letter writing.

Well, I hope you're right and they'll speed things up a little bit 'cause it's slowly getting boring.

Here are all the Bing cuts from ep.13:

He's so cute when he's embarrassed! ^^

Ok, so 2 of my best friends are about as obsessed with 1D as I am with kpop and I spam them with kpop to try an get them into it and they spam me with 1D to try to get me into them(I don't pay that much attention though xD ).

Recently, I told them about this thread and what it's like for a gay idol in the kpop industry, so they told me about who they think is gay in 1D, and they showed me this video:

(I think they were asking him about what you look for in a girlfriend)

Apparently Harry (he's the only one I know out of the 5 even after being spammed by my friends lol) really sets their gaydars off and this interview is one of the major reasons why. We also talked about a lot of the parallels between what it's like if you're a gay kpop idol and what it's like if your a western boybander. I can share most of the main points we talked about if you guys would like.

Edit: one thing thy amazes me about the video is that no one talks about it. According to my friends, his fangirls just ignored it or tried to to say that he said "them" or that he was joking. It's basically the American/British/western version of "of course oppa isn't gay!". I guess it doesn't matter what part of the world you are. Most fangirls are still the same.

I don't know anything about 1D or this guy but it sounds like he's saying "them" to me as well...
