I get that it's heechul's man and all, but why is he on camera this much? why is no one questioning it and how on earth is sm allowing that... this is also why i asked if he's becoming an idol,mc or else like it's adorable but how? heechul is doing everything he can to show off his relationship i don't think it will end well :-s I sure HeeChul is pushing for it behind the scenes and he's getting away with it. I would imagine if SM had a problem they would have done something by now. I am guessing here, only guessing, but maybe they are so close behind the camera that the producers and SM just threw their hands in the air and said "Ok, lets go with it and see what happens'' Judging from how much they genuinely seem to love each other, ok there I said it, I think it will end fine for them. He's been on stage with SJ at their concerts (I saw the video on one of their Instagrams and YouTube) the members of SuJu must know about him and HeeChul is doing everything he can to show the rest of the world. However, If you or Milk having anything y'all can share, I'm not turning away the PM lol. I'm not an 'insider' like that other Sungjong girl tried to say, I just give my thoughts and opinions being a gay male and reading people. To be honest, I was very shocked when Gunhee kissed him. Not because a gay male kiss shocks me, but that the Korean censors left it in the final edit. That was a very bold move from both of them, plus Gunhee not letting him kiss Puff. I truly love the interplay between the two, but it does make the show and relationship seem silly. I am a believer that if no one pushes the limits there will be no more gay rights to come in Korea. Then again, even crashing and burning can be productive -- I just don't want him to go through that. Very true, although I am sure his SuJu brothers will always be there for him. HeeChul is hard to predict, he may just be winging it, so to speak. Maybe after the show is over it will cool down, maybe not depending on their next show together. I am just wondering how they will do the 'marriage ceremony' this should be a good one. A bit off-topic but early gay rights were not about the right to not be 'stereotyped' or even about being 'accepted', but about being respected regardless if you were a stereotype walking. What a lot of people call a stereotype are actually shared traits other gay men recognize in each-other, people who are actually gay do not generally have a lot in common with heterosexual people in the way of mannerisms and motion. The gay people folks see on "TV" or in commercials are as heterosexual as possible so heterosexual people can empathize more easily and also to make them think "this could happen to me" which is not progressive empathy in any regard; It's empathy born from looking at somebody like a victim of fate and not from a sense of respect. See how comfortable the climate becomes when you try to live your life without getting on bended knee and coming out to whatever straight people you meet socially from here on out; for a while it will be fine but as you become close they'll need you to partake in this ritual so you can enter their social structure without being threatening; even if you're obviously gay with a boyfriend/fiance/husband. If you don't do this negative reinforcement will be applied where people will throw shade your way and make a total mockery of your orientation regardless of how 'progressive' they like to think of themselves as being; to punish you and reinforce their own sense of societal superiority. This is why I feel Heechul and Gunhee are going to get fucked over at some point; It's not possible to just "live your life" like this in a heterosexual world at this moment in time. Heterosexual men are really not the same as Gay men, at a biological and cognitive level. We are really not the same in our emotional worlds either and don't even fall in love for the same core reasons that heterosexual people do so I'm not going to pretend that I understand heterosexual people. At the same time I'd appreciate people who don't understand the real spirit of civil rights in relation to gay people not use statements like "stop stereotyping" when talking to gay people; It looks overwhelmingly ignorant especially coming from another gay person. I am lucky to live in the US in a state that legalized gay marriage. We are happy to be treated as equals here as well as 14 other states . I personally don't feel any different than a straight person. Except I would love to have sex with Sungmin. Sorry if I quoted incorrect things, my thoughts on Kaisoo are not that they're not believable as a couple because they are so believable as a couple. I don't believe SM would let it fly if they were actually an item because of the implications that would have if it was ever revealed as actually happening. I mean they appear to be an actual actual couple when they interact so it's not a case where I don't think they seem like they'd be a bad fit together but more of a case that I can't believe SM would let it be as out there as it somewhat is, so I'm basing my opinion of it mostly on cynicism Edit: I almost feel Heechul is allowed to be so gay on WGM because people who are thinking know he's gay anyway so his appearance on WGM is inconsequential and it makes the show look a lot less scripted than it really is; I think labels operate at a deeply manipulative level because the idols in question are investments and products which can be ruined with incorrect handling to some degree I have wondered as well how HeeChul got this far. My only conclusion is he is more 'open' behind the camera and upfront about who and what Gunhee is and explained that to the producers before the show started. I always took him as the straight one (though I believe 4/5 of SHINee are straight, or 3/5) I have never sensed anything gay about Onew.
