Never posted here before, I think. Interesting thread. Some of the guys everyone is point out has been caught in hetero relationships. Does that mean that it's not true or something?

 

depends on how sketchy the situation surrounding the relationship is. i'm certainly not doubting everyone out there, but pretty much every released relationship (real or not) is media play in some way or another--to distract people from something, to cover something up, ect ect

 

also, bisexuality is a thing ;D

I go back and forth on both of them tbh. As a lesbian myself Taeyeon gives me strong vibes but like.....I'm not sure if she entirely knows it? Or maybe hasn't come to terms with it, or something. So I wouldn't put it past her to date a guy, there's apparently been a couple of rumors before Baek as well. I think Baekhyun's bi but rn he's hella thirsty for the d.

 

I think there is at least a chance that they dated. All the Instagram pre-scandal nonsense honestly just hurt my head so I'd have to look at it again to see if there was anything convincing, but it's possible. I don't think they're together now, though, and if they ever dated I don't think it lasted for long past the scandal.

 

I also don't really think Dispatch outed them just bc they "finally caught them" though. The photos seemed a little bit too convenient and staged for me. SM probably used them as a scapegoat tbh--distraction from Kris' lawsuit, distraction from Baek's underage drinking photos, and possibly to keep Dispatch from releasing something even worse (god knows what, maybe they had worse pictures of Baekyeon, or another couple or something).

 

Plus, I believe both of them had rumors floating around about their sexualities (Taeyeon more than Baekhyun I think) so SM was probably just killing two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I think they just ended up with a lot more drama than they bargained for.

 

so yeah I don't think it was /just/ a bearding haha if SM wanted to do that they'd set up something like Jonghyun & that actress or stick them on WGM lol

ohhh, I forgot about this, but I heard a lot of people saying it was fake so I wasn't quite sure. they just /really/ don't give off the dating vibe is all....I know they'd be worried about backlash but like...they don't interact or acknowledge each other at all, it's rather weird.

 

I think they could have been dating at that point, but the whole thing, photos and all, was definitely staged. I mean... Baek looks like the unhappiest person on Earth, god knows where the photographer needed to be to get that angle, and that photo of Baekhyun holding the cellphone so that it shined directly on his face is just plain out weird. I get strong gay vibes from Baekhyun, but at the same time he doesn't seem that uninterested in girls, so I also think he's bi. Whether they're still dating, I have no idea. Although Baek has been showing a lot of interest in guys lately (that classic photo of him looking at BTS' Jimin at the MAMA, his interactions with BTS' V), so I wouldn't be surprise if they had broken up... Or never had been an item at all.

by my *adjusts glasses* totally scientific calculations, Taohun probably have been together (in some sense of the word) for about two years, so I'd say that's a long time, especially in the idol world.

 

obviously my guesses could be total bullshit, but I'm just trying to work through the possibilities that were mentioned ^^

 

I don't think JongKey were together long if they were together. YunJae is always an option. I'm not quite convinced GTOP ever dated, but hookups are a very valid possibility. I don't think Kryber were ever in a serious relationship either (I don't think Amber has dated anyone seriously for a while tbh???) Kaisoo I just can't see actually dating tbh? sexual tension though, yes. I only have one other guess but y'all already know who I'd say, I'm biased, I'm sorry haha

 

tbh it's probably some totally unexpected thing, or a not-crazy-popular group pairing I'm not thinking of lol

I think Jongkey dated around Ring ding dong era to around lucifer, maybe a year

And if they are talking about ships that are right now it can`t be Yunjae since i think all of us are sure they are`nt dating right now.

I don`t see any romance between any Exo member exept Tao and Sehun though...

I don't think Kaisoo are attracted to each other in that way, or at least not enough to be consciously confessing/dating.

& what anonsaid was talking about might be a completely irrelevant/not popular pairing.. but think about it, if they've been together for a long time, it means their group has to have been out there for a while (because trainees aren't in definite groups& she said dating band members) & therefore probably one of the popular pairings...

Some of the things you said did seem kind of common & not something to take too seriously (like you said), but there were definitely some suspicious moments you pointed out. also, I think a lot of people these days aren't aware that queer was ever an insult, since it's used as an identity so often nowadays, and honestly, I've rarely ever seen it used negatively, especially on the internet. So it's probably best not to jump down someone's throat over something like this ;;

 

I understand it's still an upsetting term for some people, but it's always good to just...politely explain that if needed. A large part of the lgbt+ population DOES like to use it, so it's good to respect both sides ;;

Apparently. I think it's because a lot of older hosts are probably of the mindset that "well I guess homosexuality exists but not in KOREA" lol so idols end up using the US as their default answer to appease them.

I think the gay blind item is probably Sungjong tbh I don't think it could really point to anyone else? there's a small chance it could be Taemin (even if SHINee was open w/ each other from the beginning maybe he wasn't, he was a baby when they debuted.) but if the wording points to Infinite like that I can only imagine it's Sungjong.

 

If this is him though, then the "gay member who rooms by himself" blind item might not be him?? that was ages ago but I'm pretty sure it said that member was out to his group.....? I remember everyone put him down for that rumor too (is Sungjong the only gay guy kfans can think of or something lol)

No guy would come out unless he was finished with his military service and he really did not give a fuck anymore, so all signs point to Heechul. Hopefully one day. 

 

It doesn't matter among the younger generations (in general, they are accepting, much like they would be in western countries), but it is still a very big deal for people re: jobs, the military, and parental acceptance, so most lgbt+ Koreans still struggle with those things. In fact, it's very common for gay Koreans to never come out to their families, if anything, they will just tell them that they "don't want to get married."

 

Plus, for kpop idols/anyone in the media, there's the added pressure of possibly completely destroying both your image/career and your group's if you came out. ;; No one's ever done it, so it's hard to predict exactly how much things have changed since HSC came out, but it definitely would be hell, at least for a little while.

 

Stars in America stay in the closet all of the time, still, bc they're scared of the backlash/losing out on job opportunities/losing their appeal/available image with fans, so it's understandable that it would be even harder to come out in Korea where almost no one else has done it ;;

 

 

Actually, thinking about this, I wonder if a part of why Heechul hasn't actually come out is Gunhee?? It just makes things even more complicated when you have a partner who would also be affected by you coming out ;;

It happens especially in the acting world, I've heard, because obviously, you can't act straight once everyone knows you're actually gay (I'm rolling my eyes into next week.) Americans also get caught up in the idea of "teenage heartthrobs" or whatever, so if a large part of your appeal is that you're attractive to the opposite sex, it might affect you negatively if you effectively kill your fanbase's fantasies, lol.

 

And we still have a long way to go in general, there are still a lot of people who are homophobic/religious nutjobs/ect, so there's a lot of lgbt still in danger of losing their families/jobs, being bullied, ect ;;;; 

 

Ringo basically explained everything else, haha. But while Gunhee seems like he's out to everyone, he might not be out to his family, or his job or sth. There's a lot of things he could be worried about, and Heechul too, obviously.

 

And yeah, I think Yunho would be affected if Jaejoong came out, but it's obviously in the past so it's possible that it could just be denied/brushed off. I think even moreso I would worry about that UKiss guy if Jo Kwon came out, since that was like a legitimate scandal o.o

Well the reveal is obviously some kind of scheme, I have no idea if the relationship is real though. I've heard it's real, but I don't know so... it's possible it's a "real" relationship, as in they're actually technically dating but one or both of them doesn't swing that way 

 

 

Taeyeon's case is a bit peculiar. From what I hear she's known to date guys but not have sex with them or something because she's only interested in women like that. There are a lot of rumors/theories as to why she does this, but the most likely reason is she's probably just trying (and failing) to keep up the pretense that she's into dudes.

 

Supposedly Baekhyun flirts (and more) with pretty much everything that moves, yes even now that he's supposed to be in a relationship. So either he's a cheater or something ain't right

he had a couple of gay friends (esp. in ulzzang circles) and often hung out in the girls' bathroom to fanboy over tvxq (his favorite members were jaejoong and yunho, if that says anything ;D) and there are pics of one of his birthday parties where all of the attendees are girls. some other things sound suspicious too, like he never dated any girls even though he was really popular and his reason was there was a "girl he liked," which sounds like a little bit of an excuse lol. Also re: Xiuhan, I did a stupid analysis of them a while ago lol but.......I always thought they were together, they seemed way too natural and touchy around each other for them to not be. Luhan's constant heart eyes towards Xiumin was a whole new level, lol.
