I hope this is not too much off topic but this is Eugene Lee Yang, a Korean American youtuber. He's part of the Try Guys, who got famous in Buzzfeed. He's openly gay now because he came out in 2019, of course in June. This is a video which features Kimchi, the Korean drag queen that Jokwon met and famous bc of Rupaul. The video in general talks about how Korean families react to their children being gay. And Eugene attends a drag show at a gay bar with his father, who accepts him. Obviously they have been throught a long way together about his sexuality. His father found out when Eugene was 18 and now he's 33 so his attitud towards the topic has evolved a lot in those 15 years. It reminds me of what Cheolsoo's boyfriend said about his parents, that they reacted badly but took it better with the time. A friend of Holland said the same too. I find curious that Korean parents calm down a lot when they met the boyfriend. I thought that they may react worse but they chill when they know that their son is dating a completely normal boy/man with his same age. 

Also in this video they said that the more succesful a Korean/Asian queer person is (and the more money he makes), the more accepting his parents are lmao. This and Eugene personality has always reminded me so much of a lot of idols that we discuss in this thread. The workaholic, hard-working, ambitious idol who wants to succed so bad to prove his worth. So he has something to be proud and show it to his parents so they finally value him. To compensate the "flaw" of being gay.

This is how his father found out that he's gay. It's barely 1 minute long but it's priceless lmao. 

His coming out video, with almost 16 million views, with all the profits donated to The Trevor Project, to help protecting LGBTQ youth. The video is awesome, it features Kimchi, and talks about being a gay kid in a Asian family, the church etc. It's also the second most famous coming out in 2019 in Youtube (well, third individually) only after Dan & Phil.

After his coming out there are two kind of people. The ones that said "yeah he gave subtle hints before" and I'm like... subtle my ass lmfao. Since 2014 (when he started in Buzzfeed) till 2017 he was kinda closeted but after that he identified as queer as an umbrella term and gave vague descriptions of his sexuality that often lead people to believe he was bi/pan. [This goes for people insisting that 99% of male idols are bi just because it fits with the official versions that we get] 

And the second type of people are like "we already knew" and it's like NO SHIT SHERLOCK. Like Dan Howell said in his coming out video, it's something really rude to say when the topic we're treating it's such a sensitive and intimate. 

Btw the pizza photo belong to a video that was shooted in 2014, when he was the deepest in the closet lmao. After Eunhyuk's VCR, now I'm used to watching the Korean man that I stan surrounded by half-naked men that most likely want to f*ck him XD.

Which leads me to the hints, those things that the majority of kpop fans like to pretend that don't exist. Eugene said "How people could believe that I'm straight when my first video in Buzzfeed was '8 types of gay guys that I've dated'. My boyfriend appears in the video". This is legit kpop idols hinting their sexualities lmao. And it still sends me.

Not only that but his boyfriend is in the damn thumbnail I'm wheezing. He's the sophisticate btw. In the competitive one he stated "sometimes it's hard to date a guys that wants to be on top all the time" ... yeah the jokes in this aged fine like wine... just for us to discover it's Eugene in 2019. To be fair the the only thing in the video from him is his voice.

Some of them really match the kind ot things that kpop idols do and say.

In a video with Wired the Try guys were asked about their sexualities and the video was months before his coming out so he wasn't ready to identify as gay and said "I'm the only who's had a dick in his mounth". Reminds me of Ten's ice cream joke. And it also was probably easier to say than " I am gay" bc it's a word with a lot of stigma. People need to remember that some people will do and say anything but that exact phrase but as it's the only word needed so ppl even start to believe it, here we are.

 

He introduced his boyfriend to us last year. And they've been dating since 2014 lol. His name is Matt and is a whole cutie, super shy. Man Korean gays love white men omg.

 

He loves drag and his name is Cheyenne Pepper. His drag mother is Mayhem Miller, also from Rupaul. I swear he's friends wirh half the contestants.

I've spent almost a year wondering why they've been so discreet. And I think that I know why know. Someone give me a explanation why Gunhee is the only person in Heechul's life that Heejin still follows on IG.

I sound bitter but I celebrated Jenkai last year. Because I'm happy for idols dating and finding love. But also because it sounds realistic. I'm happy for Hyuna and Dawn, Jungkook and his alleged girlfriend, Xiumin and his gf, Changmin, etc. Bc it has nothing out of ordinary. I have never understood why kpop fans are so sceptical with official versions of other things and speculating about it it's fine bc "in kpop people lie all the time" but when it comes to orientations and sexualities, the official version is the bible that they preach.

 

I was thinking that we will get more obvious Gunheechul receipts after HoMo because the gay rumours will be silenced with "Heechul has a girlfriend!!" but wow this has came sooner than I tought. Something good had to came out of this. They haven't posted a current pic together since May 12 (2019) and I have to believe that this sudden post is a coincidence? Anticipate Heechul spending more time with Gunhee than with Momo lmao. If Heechul goes on a trip overseas for holidays and takes Gunhee with him instead of Momo, I will laugh forever. Don't tell me it wouldn't be funny. By the way, people say "maybe Momo helped Heechul emotionally after Hara's death (and Sulli's)" and I'm like check Gunhee IG in December 8. Gunhee was at Heechul' house in that period. This is the Gunhee erasure that I was saying. 

What is something that would make me believe that their relationship is dead? Gunhee having a girlfriend, getting married or having kids. But yeah I don't see that happening (a brief gf maaybe, but marriage and kids hell naw). Mainly because he's not the famous one, and Heechul is the celeb who receives all the pressure from the public. Gunhee will turn 37 years old this year and he's still mysteriously single, with a job that involves being surrounded by women everyday. Another funny coincidence.

Also, it really shows when you people insist so much on him being a predator, a groomer, a Japanese fetishist and what not because 1. You believe the official version as if kpop companies never lie or 2. you are more comfortable with him being a predator than with him being gay. Sohee, Momo, Hani, etc always have seemed to me the female friends that a gay man has, and he adores and fanboys over them. Famous gay people have gotten beards since ever. Common gay people get beards and lie since always. I don't know why it's such a difficult concept to understand. As many lgtb ppl in hostile environments, he's probably scared.

And I don't know why users react badly when I say that they're going to break up eventually. No matter if I believe in the revealed idol couples against their will or not, they're going to announce their break up sooner or later. Some person has speculated that Heechul said "taking a break" instead of "quitting" but that doesn't fit at all with the rest of what he said...

Also I think that a true Once wouldn't like their bias to be used as the beard of a gay man, basically because she deserves way better than this. Heechul has always had homophobic translators so this is not something new. I clearly remember reading two different translations side by side of the same thing and one sounded gayer than the other. People who don't know their whole story are really easy to fool. I was really gullible before finding out this forum and the Tumblr info in late 2018. I ate everything up before. Do you want to see an example?

This, to the casual fan, might seem true, but let's clarify some things.

1. Gunhee stated that only once in his lifetime, when the rumours were harassing them and he wanted to get rid of fans asking him if he was Heechul's boyfriend. It was a IG comment, to be more specific. And yeah every fan knows his girlfriend, she's the invisible woman! Several years after, we are still waiting for her lol.

2. Another time Gunhee mentioned a girlfriend, was when he uploaded the photo of a city and the caption talked about him having a dream with a girlfriend. Guess who was tagged in a corner of the picture? It was Heechul.

"Gunhee said he has a girlfriend on Instagram" . Well Gunhee once uploaded a picture of a featherless chicken asking if he should get a brazilian wax and he tagged Heechul on top on the f*cking chicken but I don't see anyone talking about that. I wonder why.

Just look it up on Tumblr and Twitter. The chicken pic doesn't have Heechul tagged currently, but you can check the comments and search it on Twitter to see that he was once. And sadly I've seen a lot ot Tumblr stuff about them getting deleted. Gunheechul kingdom is luckily still up so you can see that I don't lie. It's a curious fact that the people doubting Homo have read Gunhee tumblr stuff right??

Most people say that believing that Heechul "is dating his hairdresser" is ridiculous but they don't bother to read their story. You can have whatever opinion you want, but you have to know their full story before judging. Even if I was a firm believer of Homo and Het! Heechul, I would be really curious about the person that everybody is talking about. I would read it just for the lolz.

When I don't believe something, I sometimes watch the alleged evidence that their supporters have, because I know that I'm going to die laughing at the delulus or find some tea. It's a win-win. But mainly because you need to back up your opinion on actual proofs to deny/debunk or affirm something.

PS: This thread is dead rn because the Homo issue has affected ppl. This thread is to speculate about closeted idols, it should be common knowledge that we can't keep it alive with only Holland and generic Korean lgtb facts. First thing wrong. I highly doubt that Heechul would want this. Considering that barely 3 days before he said that he had considered f*cking fleeing the country. I don't see why Momo is controversial. She's not a rookie, and if you are talking about the age difference, Koreans don't seem to see it significantly scandalous. Koreans love the couple. She was the second most shipped woman with Heechul, only behind Hani. And Hani and Sohee (the other two women passable as Heechul's gf) were probably not available. Because they're not idols anymore, bc Hani already had Junsu, bc they can decide for themselves, etc. Maybe they went to the second viable option. There's one thing I would like to add about Heechul's now famous statement 3 days before the big reveal. He said that he envied how people lived differently/ more care freely in other countries. And he saw that travelling on holidays.

Well, now you should link that to the fact that Gunhee and Heechul went on a holidays trip to the United States (LA to be more specific) in the summer of 2015. Just when gay marriage was legalized in the USA. They literally lived the inmense joy and celebration of the LGBT community in the States. They saw with their own eyes the progress, freedom and liberation of gay ppl in foreign countries. Just imagine what their thoughts could be surrounded by gay couples holding hands in public or even kissing! Maybe that's what he meant when he spoke about ppl living differently.

And a completely undeniable thing is that Gunhee uploaded a picture of him in Italy, I think, pointing to a pride billboard. with two bearded men kissing. It was earlier in 2015 also. And Heechul stated that he talked to Gunhee about the topic.

This is going to be the last thing I post about them in a long time, I don't want to be too tiresome I promise.

The fan putting words in Heechul's mouth and literally forcing a narrative on him, how surprising! 

Does this sound like "he wants people to believe it" and "these are his choices"??

The girl like "Do you feel GUILTY for having a WOMAN GIRLFRIEND? Have you been DATING for THREE YEARS???"

Heechul, basically ignoring the first question and denying the second one: "Sorry, sorry, sorry, that is fake"

So he denied dating her for three years. He personally didn't state at any point that they are recent,  or that they've been dating for a short time... nothing. When people has said that their relationship "must be recent", do you know what's that called? An assumption. He still hasn't personally confirmed any fact.

"That stuff is not really true" is probably the most that he can deny. Also, letting him speak and express himself would have been a better idea from the fan instead of going "Do you feel guilty for having a girlfriend RIGH? RIGH? RIGHT? TELL ME YES I need to associate what you usually tell us to the fact that you have a girlfriend"

Also... no idol in a relationship has ever looked so sorry and miserable. But the fans can excuse it with his grief for Sulli and Hara. I agree partially, but I don't think that his entire current sadness come from that, maybe a part of it or even the majority, but not all. But the rest of his depression can also be justified by fans with "they outed his relationship, that's why he's having a hard time". But let me ask you, have you EVER seen an idol remotely close to Heechul's level of desvastation? In that fan interaction he sounds sad af. And he feels really sorry, and let me be skeptical with this one because I highly doubt that he would regret it so much when he's known for being shameless, unapologetic and proud of his choices.

Do you know what I will respect? The words coming from his own mouth or his own actual actions, not any agency statements speaking for him.

Saying that "he has chosen that" is like saying that Blackpink and Lee Hi have chosen to stay in the basement. And look, BP constantly gives hints about this being done against their will (althought the Official Version and what they are forced to Officially state is that they do that bc they want to offer quality music and that takes time). Same with Lee Hi, but we also have her telling the truth and spilling tea ONLY AFTER she was free from his agency. Imagine what he would say or do if he's not under SM anymore some day.
