I am not really into shipping because I don´t want to delude myself (like I did months ago with Chanbaek, I still cringe at myself) plus probably most of the couples people think are real are actually not but generally speaking what group ships seem so real to you that it makes you think they are dating? I mean what ships do you think might be real? Do you think couples like Baekyeon and Kaistal are real? I don´t really have anything against them and it seems real to me but sometimes I remember that insider post from 2012 that says how they are planned for the future. Anyways if those were actually fake it definetely isn´t to cover up Chanbaek and Kaisoo, I changed my mind over few months and decided not to make myself so delusional. Another thing, Tao confuses me so much. At some points I just think how he is super straight and all about girls, he did have a girlfriend in high school and when he was in LA but his behaviour while he was in EXO was not even close to straight? I´m not really sure about him.

Tbh I am not a big shipper either, but I acknowledge crushes and attractions when I see them, and I genuinely thought that Taohun may have had a thing. I believe that Jongkey may be a thing now too. Tbh I am glad that most of my gay biases seem to be searching out of their group for relationships, it is less risky imo. I honestly found Baekyeon's scandal to be too coincidental, whether or not they actually dated, imo SM had clearly orchestrated their sightings. Kaistal seems to be possible, both are bi imo. It's a bit strange that they were friends for so long but each to their own I suppose. Tao confuses me too, I thought he was gay in exo, but now I think he is most likely to be bi.

Returning to BTS because how could they not? But I was watching an older video from them at True Colours radio and at a certain point the subject of ideal types comes up.

When the turn for Hoseok comes to speak, he first gives a joking answer, saying the two MCs are his ideal type (FeiFei and Jia of Miss A and ZhouMi of Suju-M are the MCs). Suga then jokingly says, 'Zhou Mi?'. Zhou Mi even says 'Oh, so that's his orientation'. Even though everybody laughs and treats it as a joke, Hoseok doesn't deny it or goes all #nohomo like I imagine other idols might. This might not prove he's gay, but... I thought it was interesting. Has Hoseok ever given any clear indication of interest in women? I know he knew that fitness instructor who became viral for basically being hot lol, but idk about anything else.

Much like Infinite and even GOT7, BTS strikes me as a group that is comprised almost entirely of LGTB people, if not entirely.

 

The only one that gives me genuine confusion is Namjoon. He's sort of in the same category of Jonghyun, a bisexual with a preference for women - but someone who not at all unopposed to a relationship and/or tyst with someone with his own gender, or a straight guy, but someone who has flirted with the idea of same-sex realtionships in the past.

 

If it turns out to be the last one, I'll be genuinely surprised

I am kinda half convinced that Monsta X Minhyuk is gay, but also could be that he just has that sweet and affectionate persona, but honestly I have no gayradar at all and I never thought he might be gay till I saw couple of posts saying he gives that vibe, in general Starship is probably one of a few agencies not having that homophobic tendency, K.Will's MV and MX's All In definitely touched upon the topic and I love them for that, I think Starship helped with acceptance of the subject and SM let Heechul introduce the plot twist in his MV after.

I actually agree with you on that first part. Nobody in BTS seems actually gay to me aside from V. Of course I don't know much about the group, but based on what I have seen of them that's my conclusion.

But based on the whole Stigma situation as well as the fan cams I've seen of V interacting with other idols/members ( tbvh it was mostly that whole kicked puppy moment he had with Jhope) he sort of just started pinging me. With J-Hope, I kind of think he is gay because he behaves in such a flamboyant manner...but the members have said before that it's only for the cameras. So I'm pretty conflicted about him.

 

Honestly though (and I feel embarrassed to type this out) but the first time I considered Hoseok being gay was because he's literally just so scared of EVERYTHING. He starts crying for every little thing.

I mean, I know crying a lot has nothing to do with being gay but the way Hoseok screams when he's scared is just so stereotypically feminine.

The second time I felt that he's gay was seeing him with V(back in 2013-14 when they weren't so awkward) and since mid-2014 with Jimin (especially during Danger era).

I don't have any receipts of him doing suspicious things (unless you're talking about on-cam stuff with Jimin), which is why I'm conflicted about him. He could simply be acting for the camera for all we know. He's spoken about having his heart broken by a girl in the past too(is that what you're talking about?) so perhaps he swings both ways. I really don't know.

 

I think Jimin isn't straight. I'm not saying he's gay exactly, but he was just so into Jungkook (especially in 2013 and 2014), that I can't see him as 100% heterosexual. He's had a girlfriend in the past too, so he could be bisexual. Again. I really don't know.

Haha it's ok BTS are proving a hard group to figure out, I am just as stumped about them as you I heard about Jimin's gf but I don't know what to make of it :'( On weekly idol he was practically glowing when Heechul was giving him attention, but he might just love attention, I don't know enough about him to make a conclusion.

Lol I agree with Sunggyu but what makes you think Myungsoo is straight?? (I don't want to sound rude, sorry if I do.) I remember Myungsoo saying strange things about women sometimes, like implying he isn't interested in them etc, but he confuses me a lot tbh. Dongwoo is a complete enigma to me, I am positive he likes women but after the whole "I like men who look good in all hairstyles" thing, I am wary about labelling him as straight.

 

When Woohyun interacts with men, it reminds me of how I interact with women (I am gay lol), when I first liked infinite I was suspicious of him anyway bc of previous things he has said and his friendship with Key, but it made me certain about him.

Thanks God we at least agree about Sunggyu, wasn't Myungsoo in dating scandal tho? And it was with a woman and it was pretty legit as he even drunk tweeted to her on his twitter account confusing Inspirits who were trying to understand what he was tweeting and later on it was obvious it was adressed to her, so he definitely dates women unless he is in denial, I don't remember him saying weird things about women and I remember him playing with fangirl's hair in a fanmeet, he likes long hair, idk if it is an argument,lol.

Hoya btw is a member who gives me gay vibes, idk why and it has no connection with him acting as a gay in a drama, but I still think he is straight and I probably get gay vibes cause he is a dancer and has a very straight poisture and all, I know it is weird and baseless.

Sungyeol is straight, I absolutely get no gay vibes from him.

Sungjong, i had a long struggle about him, like he was my bias for some time and I thought he was super sexy and his gaze, even Adult Ceremony looked manly to me, so I was arguing with everyone he is straight despite his androginous look and thought he gave gay vibes cause he was still a teenager, but now I definitely see he's gay.

Yeah at least Sunggyu :') Yeah L's scandal was what confuses me, it seems legit but at the same time, a lot of people are providing valid points for why it wasn't, I don't know what to make of it. On YAMO, I believe it was the first ep, when Jiae came in, L didn't look bothered at all. Later on he said he wasn't interested, and he kind of smirked whilst saying it?? It seemed weird, especially considering Jiae fits his ideal type to a T. He loves his fans, and if we count his interactions with girls, I think we should include his interactions with male fans too. He glows when he talks to fanboys and it's adorable. I think he may be bi tbh.

 

Eh I would say Dongwoo is queer to be safe, but if he is straight I wouldn't be surprised. Hoya gives me the most gay vibes out of infinite too, but I believe him to be gay. He has said countless gay things in the past and I have only ever seen him show interest in women for comic relief. Sungyeol is bi imo, although I have not too much evidence to back it up. When I saw them live, he pinged as bi. Also the whole troublemaker kiss and dream thing.

So what do you all think about Bambam's friendship with Key? Personally, Bambam has always confused me because I've never really noticed him showing interest in a guy, but frankly he does things that are about as stereotypically gay as you can get. Then I saw this post about his relationship with Key. I've seen one or two of these moments before, as well as another where Jinyoung was jealous that Bambam had bought a birthday present for Key but not for him. Not saying this is anything really. Bambam might just look up to Key. Still, it's interesting...

to me it always seemed that Jimin liked JK (maybe at first he got really close to him because he reminded him of his bro, but later it looked like an intense "like" like), Hoseok liked Jimin and just flirting in general, and Taehyung liked Hoseok

I feel like none of the feelings were requited, but I do feel like there was some mutual attraction between VHope, the feelings (to me) seemed to be mostly on Taehyung's side (you've seen the videos), but there was something about Hoseok there...idk, like he was conflicted? he liked him, but not as much as Tae liked him? he didn't want to act on the feelings cause of reasons? idk, it was confusing

since Yoongi is pretty honest about who he is as a person and what he likes, I don't see why we should not believe him, so I think he's bi or pan (which seems to be the consensus here) and doesn't really judge people based on their looks or gender (remember that cute chubby fan that asked him what his ideal weight was and then told him she was willing to lose 20kgs to meet his type and he was like, my ideal weight is your weight and you don't have to lose anything cause weight doesn't matter??? like how can you not love this dude)

Taehyung, I think he's gay, tbh I'm the most sure about him, Jimin and Hoseok, but especially Tae, especially after Stigma, especially in the recent months - I used to think he is gay and worry about him because he seemed to be so keen about marrying and having four kids and continuing his family name and giving grandchildren to his parents, he used to talk about that a lot, but I feel now he came to terms with himself and is feeling better and does not need to overcompensate for things and just likes where he is right now, and that makes me happy because there was a time when I observed him more closely and would often think he was depressed and unhappy about a lot of things, which seems to have passed (isn't it cute how the Hwarang cast absolutely adore him????)

Hoseok somehow seems like a guy who is very comfortable in his own skin and flirts with everybody, but I'm leaning more towards gay than bi with him, he could be bi with a preference for men (because I remember him showing interest in girls in AHL and such as), but I feel like he's been more and more into guys recently

As for Jongkook, I remember seeing a clip of running man (I don't watch it), and he had a heartbeat rater thing on. An actress(?) who he previously said he likes didn't raise his heartbeat at all, but another guy (he looked idol-ish, maybe an actor, and mid 20s) made his heart rate increase without doing anything really apart from small touches (the skinship was minimal although I can't remember exactly what it was). But I can't find the video anywhere :(

ok so im bi and consider myself to have a pretty good gaydar so without further ado here is my personal opinion on the sexuality of bts members:

 

*note: im a newish fan tho so i havent watched /everything/ so some of my opinions might change* 

 

namjoon- straight tbh (he doesnt ping me at all but he seems to be an ally bc the cover of fools he did with jungkook. esp since he knows english and is hella smart so it's unlikely he didn't look up the vid/watch it. i doubt he didnt know what he was singing)

 

jin- not straight. i think he's gay. if he's bi by any chance, he probably leans extremely heavily towards men. it's something about his vibe and the way he holds himself. the first time i saw him he pinged me but idk it didnt fully register until i saw him interact with ken at the isac (the one where he puts his head on ken's lap) 

 

v- gay. the first time i saw him, he pinged me and tbh that vhope vid (thank you to whoever linked it in this thread btw) was the nail on the metaphorical coffin. also, on a slightly unrelated note, he, suga and namjoon seem to be the most camera-conscious of the group. 

 

jungkook- like he does with most of the people on this thread, he confuses the shit out of me. as of now, i dont feel confident enough to share an opinion

 

jimin- probably not straight. (as i'm writing this, i'm shaking my head bc i know statistics and all but this is what my gut is telling me) maybe pan or bi?? he seems to bask in attention and not mind where exactly he gets it. in the elevator prank, he also seemed hyperaware of the girl so im assuming he has some interest in her

 

suga- don't kill me but i'm super critical of the fact that people think he's not straight from the lyrics of cyper part 3 alone. i don't think it was a subtle declaration of his non-heterosexual orientation at all. i think it was just like a 'im so hot i bring both the girls AND boys to the yard' not a 'im down for both girls and guys hello'. it seems more like bragging to me. that said, i think he's straight. he just... doesn't ping me

 

jhope- it hurts me to say this but he also confuses me. i don't have a definite opinion on him. although i am hoping (haha geddit) that that'll change as i watch more bts material. i think he def likes the ladies, i just havent observed him enough to determine whether he likes guys too

 

i'm most confident in my opinions of v, rapmon and jin as they're the ones i've payed the most attention to and my opinions on them are unlikely to change. the rest, if any of you think otherwise tell me please haha (esp. jungkook and jhope i s2g those 2)
