Big Bang? I'll talk about Big Bang for you because they were the first Kpop group I got into.

 

I thought TOP was gay from the start. I can't pinpoint why, but I think he is. He comes off to me as this very well put together and suave man who wants men. 

 

GD on the other hand confuses me SO MUCH. I'll be honest, at first I thought he was simply because he has a very feminine look to him (i don't think that's the right word. he's just got such a pretty face though and there are honestly a couple pictures in which I mistook him for a girl before I realized there were four other members of BB, why wouldn't he be there?) Anyhow, and then I got more into kpop, realized Asian men have softer? features than the men I'm used to and quickly reformed my opinion. 

 

Then for a while I was convinced he was straight up straight. He certainly tries to act as though he is. I bought into it. I though, "sure, he's pretty, but he's straight"

 

But then the way he acts sometimes. IDK and I can't recall a specific incidence, but he seems gay. 

 

Seriously. Maybe he's bi and that's why I keep getting such mixed signals from him. If he is gay (or bi), I don't think he'll be trying to date a man anytime soon, no matter how much he may want to. He seems very image-concious and I think he'll keep it up at the very least until he goes off to the military. Once he's out of the public eye for two years and has time to understand himself, we'll see what happens.

 

Then again, maybe he's straight and it doesn't even matter. (not that it really matters if he's gay either)

 

Also, because I feel like TOP and GD are the most discussed members of Big Bang:

 

Daesung and Seungri come off to me as undeniably straight. (you never know, but I doubt it)

 

WIth Taeyang, 98% of the time I get straight guy from him. Occasionally (and for some reason for me personally, it involves GD every time) I'll get MAYBE bi vibes off him, but that's it.

 

 

oh and P.S. - I'm an EXO fan as well and I feel like sometimes EXO does get beat like a dead horse. Like, I am convinced that TaoHun has something going on but there's literally NOTHING happening right now because they're promoting seperately in two different countries so there's nothing new to talk about. I don't understand why we keep bringing up the same facts. As stated, we know those facts. Until something new happens, we don't have to rehash them 12 ways from sunday.

oh, can I put in a request for some talk about Sungjong and Ren? Yes, I know they're talked about a lot too, but I have some specific things.

 

For me, unfortunately, I'm really only just starting to get into Infinite beyond their music and a lot of the reasons I think Sungjong is gay is simply because of his mannerisms/look. Is there anything else that really pings people about him?

 

With Ren. Well, I'll be honest, the only thing I know about Nu'est is that Ren is a member and he's absolutely the MOST BEAUTIFUL boy I've ever seen in my life. With him, it's seriously only a "i've seen this boy's picture and he looks gay as fuck". When Nu'est was discussed for a hot second a bit ago, someone mentioned that the group treats him like a girl/apparently see him as girl. What's all that about?

I don't think it's a cover up or anything. Gay men can genuinely like gorgeous women. I mean look at the gay men who stan people like Beyonce or Katy Perry. He might not want to have sex with her but he thinks she's pretty and it's convinent when he's asked ideal type questions, because he can answer easily. yay.

Yes to this Luhan and Taemin discussion going on. To me, they are a couple of the most confusing ones in Kpop.

 

98% of the time, I think Taemin's straight, Yes, he has a very feminine/delicate look to him, but he's never seemed particularly gay. He has his moments though, where I think maybe. It could be because he's open and accepting of thing, but for the most part I think he's straight. I think. He's so confusing. 

 

Luhan is worse for me. One day I'll think he's straight and the next I think he's gay. He too has that delicate look but that's never made me think he's gay to be honest. He seems to push the manly aspect SO HARD though and that pings me a bit. Like, "you doth protest too much". That could just be him eschewing the feminine stereotype/looks and not a gay thing. There are times when he comes off as all boy. He just screams it sometimes but only when he's not trying. Sometimes though I think he's gay. I think alot of that has to do with Xiumin though and I wonder if that skews my view. Like, if you take Xiu away, does he still seem gay and sometimes he does, but not quite as much.

 

Ugh, just. Discuss those two some more for me. I like reading the conversations when they're positive and thinky.

Sorry to sound harsh, but the people in this thread are making it sound like they've been caught out doing stuff or have admitted it somewhere when they haven't. 

 

Just like the speculations we have here, there are speculations about the two of them due to some very suspicions circumstances as was described above.

 

Louis comes off as very gay. Especially in the beginning. Boy was fabulous as fuck and had multiple mannerisms and gestures that suggested it. He comes across as not minding homosexuality in others but the second it's brought up in relation to him, he vehemently denies it and almost seems homophobic. It does make you wonder. He does have a longterm girlfriend, but due to some interesting inconsistenies at various instances during their relationship, many think she's a beard.

 

Harry, on the other hand, seems almost like Heechul, I would say. I personally believe he's pansexual. He went a very long part of his carrer using gender neutral terms when asked questions about girls. One of his besties is a gay man and he's been seen socializing with gay people and supporting equal rights. I say he's like Heechul in that he doesn't really seem to give a fuck what fans think or anything and just does his own thing. His most suspicious dating was Taylor Swift and that seemed staged.

I definitely don't think Suho and Chanyeol are gay. Both have demostrated obvious and genuine interest in girls. But yes, I think they could be bi-curious.

 

Chanyeol because I trully belive he is attracted to Baekhyun in a sexual/romantic way. I didn't see any real interest from his side during the whole MAMA era and I loathed Baekyeol, but since Growl era it's been pretty obvious to me that Chanyeol's feelings for Baek aren't just friendly. But since he has never demonstrated any interest in another guy, it's a delicate case seeing as I don't belie in the hole "exception" thing.

 

With Suho is a bit different. He stroke me as totally straight until Wolf, when he started doing things that made think that mayyybe he wasn't so simple. I do understand that he's an open minded guy who has no issues doing intimate fanservice, so him kissing Tao twice and seeming to really enoy it and voluntaring to do girlgroup dances don't even register to me. I made a post about Suchen, but I see nothing suspect from his end, for example.

 

What caught my attention were things like him acting like a freaking schoolgirl all giggling and seeming over the moon when Kyungsoo picked hm as his hypothetical boyfriend, his reaction to Yixing kissing hs neck and his reaction to the Lu Han thing. Notice that are his reactions and not his actions that are sometimes supect to me.

I for once posted Suchen moments to illustrate why I think Chen is gay. Do I ship Suchen? No.

 

I love how you contradic yourself. You started out your post by saying that this is just your opinion and you don't wanna force it on anyone, but then proceeds to undermine other people's opinions and say that "All the other members are straight as fuck" in a categorical way. Nice try being mature.

 

So basically anyone who thinks that more than a couple of members are gay is delusional and creepy as well as a shipper, while you who think they are "straight as fuck" see the reality. 

 

 

 

I don't see anyone "pushing" other members to be gay here, quite the opposite. I see people trying to shut down opinions of anyone else being gay except for Taohun and Baekhyun. I just don't understand how you see Suho/Chen as I've never viewed either of them as remotely gay. 

 

However, I agree with you about Chanyeol and that he does have more than friendly feelings for Baek. To go with the whole not beliveing in the exception thing, I think you're right. He LOVES Baek. There's no denying that. Him denying himself the chance/oppourtunity to ACT upon it is a possibility though. He's probably straight/believes himself straight and not even a boy with pretty pretty fingers and gorgeous eyes is going to do him in. It's going to be a memory one day and he'll look back and maybe wonder why he didn't do anythign, but then he'll look at his wife and not regret it.

Yeah, for the most part. It also seems that there are some hardcore fansite noonas/sasaeng fans who know exactly what's going on, but they still consider me *kind of* an international fan so they won't tell me too much about that.

do you think that most of those hardcore fans/saesaengs do know who's gay and who's dating and thigns like that? i feel like they would if they truly follow them as much as they appear to. they just choose not to reveal things, which i don't understand then why there's so much upset when things come out.

I dont think we will ever have a coming out, or a kissing picture of two same sex idol kissing as a couple...... We wouldn't even need this thread if we had that, even the straight couple don't have picture of them kissing (Except that other one LOL) just them hanging out and yet people all believe it true. Heechul has even more proof of him dating in instagram then thos scandal picture release, same sex people can go out on dates and get pictures taken just like those dating scandal pic, and nobody thinks that they are a couple, ''just friends''

I always see stuff about MyungJong and for the most part I am convinced that their is something going on with these two. There evidence is more damning than the TaoHun stuff that I believe in so strongly. However, I'm not sure that I'm entirely convinced. I read a post from a Korean in KpopSelca that Taemin has more gay rumours than Key and that Tao, Sehun, Kai and Kris were the ones who had the most gay rumous in EXO. I'll try to find the whole post again and post it here.

First of, It's not so common for guys to touch each other, yes they do it under their own risk. meaning Yes people do think they're gay or bi when they do it how ever. if it doesn't affect anyone, then Netizens don't comment about it. I was watching a video from Simon and Martina. and I was nodding my head the whole time with my grandmother. they said, it's common . well let me tell you no it's not.. People think Korean, are against gays well no we're not really, just don't go around publicizing it .. Like don't go around screaming I'M GAY etc. Korea and Japan and China. or Asian countries in general have maybe a high quantity of gays how ever they keep it a secret or is onlu known to their family or friends I have tons of gay friends and gay family members. SO in other words. the whole. Is ok for guys to touch eachother and kiss eachother is normal.. IS NOT!! they do it cause they want to. they know what people will think.. and a lot of time kpop boys will use that to kind of let people know. hey maybe i'm gay. maybe not. but i'm ok with male on male interaction... Oh, they know. Some know because they search themselves (that was how Chanbaek got into that mess), some because the are told by managers and some become aware through fans. How they react to it depends on several fators but even predebut idols know (Jongin did).

 

The beard market in Korea is as old as Kpop is and kind of an open secret. Fake girlfriends are not that hard to find even for normal male citizens anyway, as long as they're well paid. They don't have a choice in it, but some do rebel, we've all seen it happen and it never ends well.

 

As for reactions do you mean fans or the general public?

Me too tbh, but as I mentioned before when I got into Infinite I never actually had any intention of shipping anyone. I've been a fan since debut and I thought Myungsoo and Sungjong were cute friends, but I never questioned that they might really be more than that until I saw this fancam:

 

 

Watching it back now it's kind of tame compared to some of their more recent moments, but the feeling of watching it for the first time was almost indescribable tbh. This is starting to sound like one of those cheesy, self-help infomercials but I really don't know how else to describe it. I instantly saw a palpable connection between them and I knew that's not how "just friends" looked at each other (and that was all the way back then). I also knew I was never looking back, because once I see a connection between two people like the one I saw with Myungjong, I can't just forget about it. Look how much they've grown though from then until now. They went from flirty little muffins who were still kind of awkward around each other, to two people that talk to each other via their eyes and seem to understand each other better than anyone else. Idk, it's just insane and wonderful to me at the same time.

these two are climbing up my list of favorite ships. goodness, but they're adorable together.

Sorry to drag the conversation away from Kaisoo (adorable, btw) but I wanted to say something about the Heechul/Gunhee 'kiss' on WGM. Now that i've watched the episode and saw the context, it's absolutely adorable and I can see how most people are writing it off. Heechul had been joking around with Puff, telling her she couldn't kiss him and Gunhee kinda took his moment and took a chance, ya know? I think afterwards though, you can see the genuine love in Heechul's eyes even as he's 'punishing' Gunhee. I also thought it was completely adorable how when Heechul was working on Puff's hair, Gunhee was randomly pawing at Heechul's hair. The episode was cute and even though Heechul keeps trying to force heavy skinship on Puff, i'm not buying it. It's kinda painfully obvious that she isn't either.

I think anybody who goes near Jo-Kwon during such a hot time is maybe trying to make a safe statement; I feel he is replacing HSC as the premier gay celebrity and I think other people will imply orientation by being seen with him.

 

D.O is not even open to being portrayed as 'Kpop gay' which makes him even more likely to be involved in liking guys because he can't even be pragmatic about making money
