Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

And like the excellent gay that he is, Halloween started way too early. The makeup and sparkles were already on at the end of last week. :D

I think a lot of people dressed up last weekend since actual Halloween falls on a Wednesday. The street dancers in Hongdae were dressed in costumes too:

I havent been here for a long time but omg i swear Josaline loves coming here like clockwork to cause drama.

To stay on topic, I found this amusing. Im watching knk vlives from oldest to newest and in one from the date 2016.12.13 they were asked by fans if they prefer monolids or double eyelids (its obv an ideal type question) and Seungjun immediately went you mean on men? And went that men look handsome with double eyelids (if i remember correctly).

Also interesting is that no one corrected him and went we mean on a girl and they talked about eyelids on men and themselves, they never mentioned women.

I think Seungjun is one of the most suspected here, does anyone have receipts on him or the others?

Seungjun has so many receipts I wouldn't even know where to start. I came across this video again the other day though:

Sorry, I forgot to mention yoongi as well. Honestly if he didn’t mention his ideal type in that interview I would have never guessed.

I honestly think the only heterosexual member is J-Hope.

Blasphemy

This issue got raised pretty recently on the thread. There's a school of thought out there in K-pop fandoms that to be a queer idol you need to look for someone who is popping boners onstage and who is at the tactile end of skinship.

I think that's a mistake. Sometimes the shyest, most non-tactile people can turn out to be queer. (I am not a particularly tactile person. I don't mind a hug but I rarely initiate it.) And imo that it's not always because people don't like touch, it's that they're terrified that if they indulge too much, their real selves will be revealed. So to fend it off they act tough or say ridiculous things that sound like borderline or outright homophobia/ignorance. But the whole thing can be an act. By then others have judged them and decided they are a grump or a 'phobe or whatever. But people can hide behind lots of different masks.

This^^^^^

Also, random, but I just recently found out that Eugene from The Try Guys is not straight, and he's absolutely the least touchy and affectionate of the bunch. You can't always judge these things by how a person interacts with their friends, especially if their friends are straight.

That time a womanly culo squatted infront of him, he looked that cake

That's the only moment I ever see people point to to show Taehyung likes women, and that in itself is telling.

Also, I always think about that time he was asked, "What's the first thing you notice when you see a girl?" and he said, "The brand of her clothes." Like...

I have seen a few videos but I don't know VIXX enough to make an enlighted quess, so could someone tell me what's the tea about them ? As a total VIXX muggle, I have this kind of feeling : Leo / Ravi / N on the sus side and Sanghyuck / Ken / Hongbin on the not really sus.

He's not straight. He's just saving himself for Park Hyo Shin.

Also, I'm reading through that Monsta X account for fun:

Oh also:

Guys was there ever a moment of a BTS member where you thought "wow he really is not straight"?

For me it was the clip of taehyung and that tall boy group member. What is his group called? Something with "blue" or like that.

It's funny, I just found that clip again the other day:

As for your first question, yeah all the time. laugh.png

A lot of people convinced he is gay, but somehow I always get different vibe from him, like the vibe I get is that he's capable of lusting after women and can date them.

I personally think he's swinging both ways, like I can see him dating woman and creating scandal for it- including hysterical fans plus sasaeng, but that's another story.

Also, i wouldn't put much weight on his "confession" in interviews, we all know by now that gay-baiting is the standard for boy groups and most of the time even the PR is created around the idea that allow their teenage fans to ship a same-sex pair.

and it's not unusual for male idols to pretend like they don't care about girls- you see them on shows standing awkwardly with the girl idols as if they're different species and as if they're not capable of socializing with the opposite gender, fans wouldn't like to see them being friendly or appear chummy with the girls and watch every glances and smiles like detectives scrutinizing evidence. When in reality it's "animal kingdom" and idols do date around(maybe even have benefit arrangements too, or quickie on the side?), sometimes in combinations that we probably never knew of.

Maybe I was wrong, but my hunch is that he's not as gay as some would like to believe.

I feel like there's a huge difference between being cautious around girls on-camera to avoid dating rumors and saying in an interview that you have no interest in girls specifically, and in fact prefer being around men. Gay-baiting fanservice exists, but appealing to straight girls' fantasies about dating them is still absolutely the #1 priority. It's one thing to say you're not interested in dating right now (in other words, "I won't cheat on you fans") and another to say that you're just not interested in even being around girls. That makes no sense as a marketing strategy.

Guys, my point was that there's a difference between an idol saying they're not interested in dating and saying they're specifically not interested in girls and prefer being around men. In any case, that interview was just one of many reasons people think Taeyong is gay. I don't think anyone here is basing their speculation on that alone.

Kyungsoo has all the male actors WHIPPED for him

How many actor boyfriends does Kyungsoo have at this point? What an icon. dave.png

Sidenote: I long for the day someone can tweet about Kyungsoo and his co-stars without people replying with "Jongin is devastated" or whatever. And not even just with them, but any time an idol has sus moments with someone outside the fan's preferred ship, shippers act like the other member is off crying in a corner. Projection is a hell of a drug.

I don't know how I feel about that coming out prank wthplz.png

Did I miss something?

Also, can I just rant about something kind of OT? I was watching a video of the street dancer Lee Gangyong (the boy who was on Hello, Counselor for wearing makeup, etc.), and someone in the comments asked if he has a girlfriend. Bonus points: their username was "crazy for bl and yaoi".

Jungkook has said or done questionable things with basically *every* other member of BTS. A few off the top of my head:

-Called Namjoon his boy crush and said NJ made his heart flutter

-The story of the first time he met Namjoon, who wasn't wearing pants, and saying only, "Wow, thighs"

-Filmed Jin's dick with a phone on a selfie stick during ISAC

-Jin: "He keeps touching my butt" JK: "It feels good"

-TH: "You're going to be an adult soon" JK+TH: *waggles eyebrows*

-Made a video for Yoongi's birthday, including, "Min Yoongi, I want you."

-Jokingly said "Ugh I want you" to Jimin like 5 times during that photoshoot with Jimin on the floor with fruit

-Walked in on Hoseok in the shower, checked him out and said, "Ohh yeahh" before leaving

-Said he relieves his nerves before performing by touching the members' butts

Jungkook has had gayish interactions with all the members, and you know what? If he's really gay or bi, that would make sense, since actual gay or bi people are gay or bi all the time. There's no such thing as "Only gay for X."

hehe okay (disclaimer: i'm a big html n00b so idk how 2 spoiler so.. scroll past this if you haven't seen it yet!!)

so during bts' off-time seokjin had his personal trainer come to his room and help him stretch. and the whole time seokjin was cracking jokes and moaning (? groaning ?? idk but his trainer was stretching his legs really wide btw jin is so flexible), and at the end of the scene he told this really funny dad joke and the trainer doubled over in laughter onto seokjin's stomach laugh.png  it was so cuteeeee and the chemistry with him was totally there lmao. i wish i could explain it better (or find a clip) bc it's like.. gayer if you watch it.

Bless you. ilikeitplz.png

Also, you can put this under a spoiler by writing

before it and [ / spoiler] (without the spaces) after it.

why tho? the only difference between this story and bts shipping posts is that this time a non-bts member is involved (which only makes it feel more relevant)

I think putting it under a spoiler was more because it was literally spoiling the Burn the Stage movie that just opened in theaters.

I understand, a lot of the members I said were gay could be bi. I just haven't seen much to make me think they were attracted to girls too. As far as pan goes, I don't have a very good way to judge that since trans and non-binary people are so rarely talked about by idols

Sorry to butt in, and I know this was said a couple pages back, but I just wanted to clear this up:

Bi = Attraction to two or more genders (can absolutely include non-binary people)

Pan = Attraction to the individual, regardless of gender / gender doesn't matter

Pansexuality is not bisexuality + trans and nb. Bi and pan people could both like all genders.

The difference between the two labels is really just a matter of which word you prefer; there's no real difference in which people you can be attracted to. Also, trans is not a third gender. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. So even if you, for example, only liked men, that would (ideally) include trans men.

I knew that bisexuality was the attraction to both the two genders and pansexuality instead includes also non-binary people

Not that I care about labels but for some people are important so

Bisexuality organizations have defined bisexuality as including attraction to non-binary people since at least the 1990s.

But wasn't that before the term pansexuality become current?

"The term pansexuality is sometimes used interchangeably with bisexuality, and, similarly, people who identify as bisexual may feel that gender, biological sex, and sexual orientation should not be a focal point in potential [romantic/sexual] relationships. In one study analyzing sexual identities described as alternative terms for bisexual or bi-self labels, half of all bisexual and bisexual-identified respondents also chose alternative self-labels such as queerpansexualpansensual, polyfidelitous, ambisexual and polysexual."

I'm not sure I understand your point? Like I said, whether you call yourself bi or pan is a matter of word preference (or sure, some may label themselves as queer or poly). Both bi and pan people can be attracted to all genders/not care about gender. To say that bi people aren't attracted to non-binary people is just inaccurate. I understand that people want to draw a difference between bisexuality and pansexuality, but we shouldn't do that at the expense of painting bi people as prejudiced.
