As for Soohyun.... he went CRAZY on Variety Shows and kept kissing and touching other idols from other groups/companies. Example Soohyun hitting on ZE:A member Doohyun during a Variety Show: Soohyun was touching idols from other companies/groups regulary, so that rumors of him being gay increased more and more. Whats the truth ? The fact that Soohyun was hitting on idols from other groups/other companies is somewhat suspicious. Would you reallly do this if You want to entertain fans who like skinship ? I think an idol would do that ONLY to own group members .. not strangers. Soohyun is not really denying it in this video. He just laughs and doesnt answer the question. They act gay because fans want to see that." Okay. Idols do bromance for fans. But sometimes it seems to be weird that they do fanservice in this very moment. Example 1 BTS Jimin is asked if he got a kiss from a girl. Suddenly, he changes the topic himself (during TV interview) and asks Kookie for a kiss. So is this only fanservice because he does that during a TV show ? Or is he using this opportunity to hide his gay feelings as a joke and try to get Jungkook to kiss him ??? Why change topic from a girl to Kookie so suddenly ? Example 2 Got 7 Mark grabs JBs butt during a fan meeting. He is doing that in front of the fans so this must be fanservice, right ? But if its so harmless why is JB so displeased with the action? If its only harmless fanservice then why is JB not laughing about it ? Does he know that Mark is gay and thats why he is shocked ? So is this a good hint that Mark is gay or is it just fanservice from straight idols ??? Example 3 Shinee Skinship during a concert. Jonghyun is getting a bit too excited, his gay feelings surface, and he goes after Taemin. True ? Or is this scripted concert fanservice ? Is all this just Jonghyun acting ? Sometimes i do think Jonghyun is losing control of himself on stage ... but what does this tell us ? Does it tell to us that Jonghyun might be gay ? Or does it tell us nothing about Jonghyuns real feelings ? Example 4 OKAY, this is clearly FanService ! I think everyone agrees that saying this calmly in front of the TV cam can only be fanservice and scripted. So moments like this, make me feel like Woohyun +Sunggyu are just best friends and the gay moments are just fanservice. BUT, there are some moments, when i look at this Couple and it has the most natural gay couple feeling EVER. And i am not talking hot sexy gay.... I am talking married happy old gay couple feeling. SO MY QUESTION IS..... FANSERVICE VS REALLY GAY ....HOW CAN WE TELL IT APART ? Is everything automatically just fanservice and i am insane for thinking any idol bromance could be real gay feelings ? I would really like the people who think Jackson could possibly be straight to explain why they think that, I am extremely curious. I can't speak for anyone else, but the reason I believe Jackson might actually be straight (...) how forward he is about it that makes me question his potential gay/bi-ness. He acts like every LGBT-friendly straight guy I know, honestly. Like he honestly radiates a certain brand of heterosexuality to me. He's done a few things that are highly suspicious and have given me pause, but for the most part he acts less like he's interested in guys himself and more like he just wants people to think it's normal for guys to be interested in guys. i think Jackson is straight. What do we know about Jackson ? he enjoys human interaction. He is very talkactive and open-minded. Jackson is a professional crowd-pleaser and loves to provide maximum fanservice. Since bromance/OTP is very popular in Kpop right now, Jackson just gives huge amount of bromance fanservice, without giving it a second thought. lol. I am also sure he is Pro Gay Rights, because he is so open-minded. Bromance is requested, so he suddenly started to provide it A LOT !!! Maximum Fanservice as always (Jackson is also doing that for other things fans want). Jackson just has no limit when it comes to giving fanservice, so it looks like he is this crazy gay man, imo. It's not completely unheard of for a highly eligible straight bachelor to be unmarried even into middle age, but.... it's not exactly heard of, either. It's much more common to marry somebody you don't love and just cope than it is to remain unmarried, because people generally view it as better to be in a loveless marriage and hope love grows than to be a social outcast Exactly. He also acts very strange when idol boygroups come to a show he is on. Also, we all know these gay men who take very much care of their body/health and go to the GYM and build muscles ? It's not only the way he acts (the episodes where Hong Seok Cheon appears make me go :3), his mannerisms or him being unmarried, but his interactions with females seem either really forced or too comfortable in a "we're bros" kinda way or completely detached and professional; because despite him being polite, you can tell he doesn't really give a crap about anything but filming, lol. I also want to point out, that KJK treats boygroup members in a very special way when they guest on shows with him. (Xman, Running Man, Family Outing and other shows) Yes, he might just be super-nice to them because of their devoted fans. Thats what most people think when they watch him interact with idols and thats what he usually says when he treats them very special on shows. But i noticed that his attention level goes high up when some male idols or young good-looking actors are around him. Ah, forgot to add that I also think he is deeply closeted. If he is gay, he perfected the skill of "cloaking" his feelings very well. Maybe You are right, and he had to train this skill all his life !!!! Still, all gays know how hard it is to completely surpress your excitement and feelings. Thats what i feel a lot of times when KJK interacts with goodlooking men / idols.. a very hard-to-track emotional excitement and he suddenly is so careful with every word he says. In fact, the most recent Gallup poll shows that those who identify as lesbian, gay, bissexual or transgender is about 4%. Which is what it's been for awhile. However most Americans think that the ratio is much higher, around 1/5th the population. OTOH, recent studies also suggest that the younger the participant in the study, the more likely they are to identify as non-straight. According to this recent study only 48% of people aged 13-20 identified as exclusively straight. This compared to 65% of those aged 21-34. Instead of asking straight out "Do you, personally, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender?", which the Gallup poll did, this poll uses the Kinsey scale. This suggests that a high percentage of kpop idols are likely to be non-straight, even if they don't want to admit due to societal constraints. 4% would still mean out of 25 idols 1 is gay. So if You just take GOT7 + Monsta X + EXO, 1 of them should be gay. I would argue that the lifestyle of a male idol is kind of.... challenging.... always together with other good-looking members who put on makeup, hearing all the fans go crazy over the hotness of other members.... that has a good chance to spark some gayness/bi-sexual feelings in them. Somehow i feel that all the sexiness would effect some idols and raise the 4% a lot higher in an idol group. (Wishful thinking ? hehe.)
