Which male idols do you think are gay?

are there any korean who think he is straight at this point? or is he like an open secret

I don’t think anyone would be surprised if he came out. The question is will he? Does he think he should? Either way, I do like that he is doing (mostly) what he wants.

With Ateez is a bit complicated as they barely have any videos interacting with women and they don’t seem to talk about ideal types/relationships which is unusual in kpop. As of right now I think only Wooyoung isn’t straight.

This is one of the few videos of them interacting with a woman.

Hongjoong and Jongho are the two least affectionate members/the ones who don’t really like fanservice. The rest of the group is very touchy.

To me Seonghwa felt ""suspicious"" in Obviously like most Ateez members he acts on fanservice but that especially means he's just good at his job. Tbh he just seems like one of the only introvert members of the group's so he stands out a bit for that I guess.

Then again I haven't been stanning for long so maybe my image of him is completely off lol

This is just me being nit picky but Seonghwa is actually an extrovert (according to the Myers Briggs test he did). But when a group has a San, Wooyoung, and Mingi the others seem introverted. Also, Seonghwa really likes affection/attention and he loves fanservice. As of right now, I don’t really feel a particular way about him and would need to see him interact with people outside of Ateez (same with most of them tbh) :)

Ooh thank you for the clarification ! I remember them taking the mbti test and specifically San getting INFP which made me question a lot of things lol but I'll look into it more regarding Seongwha.

Also yeah Ateez are a really tight-knit group so we can't really base much on their inner dynamics since they're all very close friends, but I've barely seen them interact with other idols so it's hard to develop an opinion.

Seongwha is such an interesting person! I'm pretty sure he did theater/drama before and he loves to play the "oppa" persona as well as really enjoying fanservice. I'm really looking forward to seeing more from him. Woosan and Mingi's admiration/(?) for Hongjoong are other things that really interest me.

I love how this video is 90% Wooyoung.

Edit: Slightly unrelated, but I just saw this video of Harisu (first openly transgender entertainer in Korea) performing on Masked Singer. I thought some people might enjoy watching it/knowing about Harisu.

Yeah, I also see Jungkook as the member who has the most convincing girlfriend rumors and is sure that he is really interested in girls. Maybe he have some bi curious moments from time to time, but mostly his reaction to other mens is too ordinary when compared to other members. These are the things I can find about Jungkook and the girls,

It is rumored that he has been separated and reconciled with this girl for several years.

LOL remember when Jk said he only had one girlfriend but he wouldn’t even see her in person when there’s so much receipts. Makes me thing that he plays the “I’m scared of girls” character because of his fans. I also think the rumour he had with the tattoo artist sounds pretty legit.

Literally anybody who ends up in Dispatch's grainy photograph archive, walking with a female idol under some trees, is suspect imo. :)

Who do you suspect that has had a dating scandal? I’m intrigued.

Off-topic but I found these videos to be very interesting.

The fact that BH has not sufficiently capitalized (from a purely business perspective) on kpop's power ship for years now. And to me, that's the big thing. A big part of what makes Taehyung and Jungkook's relationship different is that they've been far more popular and have had far more impact than any other ships, so their treatment in the past few years actually makes zero business sense. And of course there's the thing of how TK actually act with each other--how they have tended to swing between either naturally showing too much of their intimate chemistry, or consciously holding back so much it seemed awkward.

Honestly one of the most awkward vlives I've ever seen...

here’s another guy explaining the gay club situation

the saddest part about this is that you could see the younger generation in korea becoming more supportive but now that people are starting to “blame” the lgbt community, i can see that changing real quick. if it were being spread amongst heteros, no one would care. in fact, people in the replies were saying how it originally spread in korea at a christian church but there wasn’t one specific group of people who where blamed for it. but people will use any reason they can to hate on people that are different than them.

it’s later in the thread but he even talks about how people are being threatened to be outed and forced to delete their dating app profiles. this is honestly ridiculous.

Tbh if it wasn’t this it would be something else. People will always find ways to blame minorities. A shame that Korea can’t unite even when there’s a pandemic...

We've brought up this organization plenty of times before but this current situation is a good reminder about it. If there's any of us with the means to donate (which I know is nigh impossible for some of us due to COVID-19), please do so. For those who may not know, Rainbow Teen Safe Space's goal is to provide a long-term self-sufficient shelter for Korean LGBTQ teens and youth. God knows this current situation is going to disrupt the lives of many in the Korean LGBTQ community and shelters like these need funds to provide that support.

Would love to see this added to the op!

2AM Jo Kwon threatens to sue commenter who accused him of being at an Itaewon club where a visitor was recently diagnosed with COVID-19

It doesn't seem like a coincidence that Jo Kwon is receiving hate comments in the midst of this Itaewon club issue. Famous Korean celebrity chef Hong Seok Cheon, who is one of few celebrities to publically come out as gay, was also criticized by netizens recently. Two celebrities who have absolutely nothing to do with this matter are being targetted and cyberbullied simply because of their sexuality (despite Jo Kwon not openly revealing his sexuality yet).

Chef Hong Seok Cheon put out a statement: "Now is a time to be brave. People in the LGBTQ+ community are already nervous that their family, friends, and society will find out about their sexuality. This is why courage is needed."

Translation:

Singer Jo Kwon was outraged due to rumors about him going to the [Itaewon] club.

On May 11th, one netizen commented under Jo Kwon’s social media, “Just tell us why you went to that club last week.” He replied, “Sorry, but I didn’t go. I will sue you.”

Jo Kwon expressed his anger: “I will screenshot my Instagram and send [evidence of] defamation to the Cyber Crime Investigation unit. I let you say things to me and I kept it to myself. Do I look weak to you? Do I seem funny to you?”

He continued, “I’ve been letting you all post comments like these recently and you all want explanations for a lot of things. Now that I replied to you, are you happy? I was watching ‘The World of the Married’ at my house.”

After new COVID-19 cases spread at an Itaewon club recently, there has been strong criticism towards people who do not respect “social distancing.” In the midst of this, there have been rumors that multiple celebrities were in some of these clubs. Recently it was confirmed that KARA Park Gyuri was at a club.

The government is blaming the LGB because it’s easier than saying they made a mistake. It wasn’t just bars that were open and people were out almost like before. If establishments are open it makes sense that people will go. The government shouldn’t have opened things back up so soon.
Korea your homophobia is showing.

2AM's Jo Kwon is showing off his ulzzang visuals.

On the 27th, singer Jo Kwon posted three photos on Instagram with the caption, "Oh, practice ᄒᄒ뿌뿌."

In the photos shared, Jo Kwon perfectly pulls off wearing a pink T-shirt and nail art creating a pure atmosphere. He showed off his blemish-free skin and pretty visuals and NU'EST Ren left a comment writing, "L - Lᄅ ᅮ Lᄋ ᄋ ᄋᄋ," showing off their amazing friendship

  1. [+3,773, -407] Just come out and live your life proudly. There's no reason denying it anymore, its not cool.
  2. [+3,214, -445] He's trans not gay...there's a difference. He identifies and lives as a woman.
  3. [+2,489, -306] He's gradually transitioning to a woman..hul~what's wrong with him??
  4. [+246, -16] It's so obvious. The only reason why he's not coming out to the public is because the other side won't let him. This is his way of indirectly expressing it.
  5. [+236, -17 Just admit it. He looks so much like Kim Kisoo.
  6. [+236, -2] Why does it matter if he looks feminine. I like Jo Kwon because of he's always so playful and active
  7. [+209, -24] Isn't it time to coolly admit it at this point??!
  8. [+140, -20] He's become more feminine since he came out of the army. He probably got a pedicure set too.

almost 2,500 upvotes this is more than most idol or even dating related articles
this right here is the reason celebrities in Korea don't come out

how does it make sense to be slating someone for not coming out in the same breath as saying 'whats wrong with him' ???

Wearing nail polish now means that he is a woman... I don't wear nail polish am I still a woman? 🤔

Are we really labeling people AWAY from their biological sex because they don't perform the expected, traditional gender role assumed for that sex? How is that not the most regressive and offensive thing ever?

We are not supposed to assume someone is lgb based on stereotypes but then someone is non binary because they wore a skirt once.

Wild.

Omg ngl I thought it was the PH1harmony guy that made weird tweets about Jimin.

Hongjoong has always struck me as bi anyway which is why I was shocked when I saw a group of Atinys on twitter a few weeks ago all agreeing that he’s straight...kinda just left it since I don’t know much about him, but this is interesting

At the very least he is very open-minded.
