It's not just that they can potentially form, but they absolutely do routinely form, it's one of the most common ways for people to find a partner in general. But within the context of kpop, I think a lot of fans have a very fictional view of things.

Most shippers will map out these timelines of how the relationship has slowly developed into something romantic and when you think about it for 5 seconds, it's quite clear that they believe that these idols have only started existing once they have debuted. Like, A and B are always out there slowly developing feelings around their debut era, but what were they doing 5 years before that during their trainee period lol? They are treating them as fictional characters stuck in some narrative who only exist when they are onscreen. 

It's far more likely that some trainees get together during the trainee period because it's just a lot easier to find a partner in a group of 30 people as opposed to a group of 5. But the problem is that most agencies will end up cracking down on any such relationship sooner or later cause, like it or not, it's just terrible for business. A former JYP trainee spoke about essentially being kicked out because he dated a fellow male trainee at the company. 

Lastly, and this is the most unsexy thing about this, but managers literally live with idols. How could anyone have a functional gay relationship when there's someone actively policing against that being constantly around? It's just not realistic dot gif. And that's without even getting into any (or all) members not being cool with it as well. 

I personally don't have a problem with users posting ships if they are relatively reasonable people who genuinely do believe that there might be something there and I think most other users feel the same. I certainly don't wanna be the no fun allowed police, and you could easily be posting about something quite common like a person having one sided feelings for example, so it wouldn't be that delulu at all to argue that. But there is a valid reason why shipping is overall discouraged here because any actual relationship that might happen within the same group will absolutely be in spite of all the things that I have previously mentioned. Agencies have no in group dating allowed clauses in their contracts nowadays, they are already way ahead of us lol (see Vernon's iconic "Dude, read the contract" scream.)

Apart from GD liking stuff on insta like "half gay" and "bottoms do it better", the only thing that comes close that I can think of is something like TBZ Kevin posting about that SNL daddy long legs sketch with a selfie of his. The sketch includes the quote "And what does daddy long legs eat? Boys, boys, boys~" lol, but it's not quite the same thing as the first example in terms of getting 100% straight (heh) to the point. You can expand it further and include idols who already seem pretty gay referencing super niche gay media on their social media, or something like Wonho's insta in general looking a Certain way lol.

Different clothing, multiple angles, it seems unedited to me, so it's more plausible that it's not one/either of them in that pic to begin with to me.

The supposed sticker appears to just be a watermark from the poster, and people are saying that Jennie has dark hair in her pics from Jeju on insta (I am not gonna bother with verifying that one though, so feel free to prove me wrong).

In all seriousness, YG is perfectly capable of denying relationship rumors like they did with Jisoo, they say no comment when it's actually real. Jennie does not benefit from being harassed by Taehyung's stans, so it would be in her interest to have her company deny the rumors. If HYBE outright says no comment too, that's pretty much it as far as I'm concerned.

YG doesn't always deny rumors for example he didn't deny a rumor of top and some actress then the sister of  basically  had to debunk it

 

From my understanding, the player is certainly way more popular than Taehyung in Korea, but at that level we are kinda comparing being mega and giga popular. HYBE is trying to secure military enlistment for BTS members on the account of them essentially being national treasures too, so I don't think there's that much of a difference there. Jennie is already being harassed, so that part is the same too. We're just missing a controversial kdrama accused of historical revisionism lol. 

Idk anything about TOP and that actress, so just from reading what you've said, I'm wondering why the actress herself didn't deny it. If not with a clear statement, then with something to imply it as some others have done. The sister may just want to protect her from getting hate so she denied it. Feel free to correct me on anything and/or provide context.

Back when the news of GD and Jennie was announced, journalist reports were saying how the two were introducing others as their significant other, so supposedly they were really open about dating each other among friends and acquaintances. Make of that what you will, but dispatch is not known to be wrong about dating news. Insta follows were essentially just used to determine if anything had changed in their relationship since YG never confirmed the dating news, and GD would really have no reason to unfollow Jennie (who was also unfollowed by his sister). I think it's kinda irrefutable that the two dated.

Always a possibility, but honestly a very small one if you ask me. It's not like they were seen drinking coffee, it's a trip to Jeju, and I think that the majority of opposite sex friends in Korea wouldn't really do that. It goes from a small to an astronomically small possibility imo when you factor in that they are two of the most famous kpop idols, and that being seen like that would just create a needless mess if they really weren't dating. 

To me it's a bit like when those pics with Jooe came out and people were saying that they could be friends. Wearing matching items, as they walk through a street filled with love hotels while linking arms? Yeah, I don't know~... 

But yeah, it does suck if anyone is using this to claim that no idols are gay. Thankfully I haven't seen any of that myself, just people joking about how taekookers might lose it. I mean, I myself can't cope with the idea that we might no longer be able to make fun or ARMYBLINK shippers, so we are all struggling one way or the other lmao. 

And since it was said that no one is arguing that Taehyung is straight, let the record reflect that I have always been a not-gay Taehyung truther. I never felt like he was gay, and bi was a huge maybe, similarly to what someone said about Baehyun a few pages ago. 

Anyway, does anyone remember how long it took Taehyung to address the heiress rumor? I remember it being pretty quickly and him being pretty annoyed at those rumors, and someone said elsewhere that she is Jennie's friend, so dot dot dot.

Don't really have any big reason, he just always felt relatively straight to me, and the things that made him seem gay to some I perceived as just being a part of his artistic personality and not really indicative of his sexuality. Gaydar at the end of the day is not an exact science, it's mostly just pattern recognition and vibes after all.

Also I'm very skeptical about any "they confirmed that they lied/it's fake" claims because fans keep saying that too about the person who posted the original pictures of the two when that is not really what happened at all. Would be nice to see concrete proof if OP really said that.

I am getting a bit irrationally angry looking at some of those posts.

The fans, most of whom seem to be taekook shippers from what I've observed, have found a guy who looks like Taehyung. Alight, the guy kinda made his bed by trying to make bank off looking like Taehyung, but is there really no line? To insinuate that because he, a model, added 20 fashion-related tags to his post is somehow proof that he sent in those pictures himself is crazy to me on so many levels. 

Firstly, literally no connection between the two points. Secondly, this entire plot hinges on the idea that he found a Jennie lookalike, went to Jeju with her, took pictures, submitted them, likely waited a few days after the scandal hit to plant the idea that it was him, and then sat and prayed that the fans will latch onto that and bring a bit of exposure to his Instagram page. Except that as soon as people started saying it was him he didn't milk it but instead denied it, repeatedly too, whoops. 

Taekookers are a different breed I swear. 

Also, Jennie appeared publicly with brown hair (a bit on the lighter side), so orange no more.

I think something to keep in mind about Sojang/Gasahara is that her track recording is genuinely amazing. Every other day she's revealing something scandalous about some celebrity, so you'd think that at least something will turn out to be true, right? After all, even a broken clock is right twice a day. But to the best of my knowledge, not a single scandalous thing that she has alleged turned out to be true (do correct me if I'm wrong). Like, to not even be right on an occasion because of the sheer volume of allegations that you create is genuinely impressive to me. 

Fans and agencies were taking her seriously for a while. Fans would rush to explain why something she had claimed just couldn't be true, and agencies would put out public statements denying it all. Sometime before she switched to youtube, she started all the major damaging rumors in the k-pop fandom within a certain period, and every single one of them got thoroughly debunked. It came to a point where I figured that if Gasahara was claiming something to be true, I could just go ahead and assume that it was her fabrication entirely. 

But each time she was proven wrong, she would come back with the next allegation like it was nothing, and after a while, the fans and the agencies just stopped bothering with her entirely. The only one trying to give her legitimacy still on the international side is NB who routinely translates stuff from Sojang's videos, but that's because NB is just really desperate for clicks (that's a different story lol). 

Of course, at the end of the day it's possible that what Sojang is claiming is true, but I'm trying to illustrate here how she is not an even remotely credible source of info. Like, she literally put every popular boy group in the thumbnail for that video on prostitution and Sehun. And that's all without getting into some of the allegations about her that I haven't personally verified, such as that she's a 40 year old woman who claimed that Soobin got her pregnant lmao.

She's now claiming that Kang Daniel and Nam Joohyuk went to room salons as well, and that they hooked up with a Japanese AV actress and Hwang Hana (Yoochun's ex who was involved in drugs and using molka of others as blackmail). In 2 more days, expect your own faves to be mentioned, Sojang is in her prostitution rumors era I guess.

The thing is, she has been like this for over 10 years. Her path to infamy started with her being obsessed with Infinite L.
