000 3,320 Posted October 10, 2018 Share Posted October 10, 2018 i saw some people discussing nomin the other day and im so sad i missed out so im bringing it up again sorry,,, i think the whole 'jaemin treats jeno differently' is pretty accurate. jaemin is definitely more careful, more gentle with him compared to the other members of nct BUT he's not the only member to treat jeno differently, ten does it as well and i've seen hyuck do it too. my opinion is that something may have happened to jeno regarding his sexuality and family relationship. so, back in january (?) mtvasia did a profile for each member of nct and jeno made a point of saying he wasn't catholic anymore. this seemed odd to me because religion isn't something a lot of idols go screaming about and catholicism is known for being particularly hard on gays. then nct dream were talking about what they did for seollal. bearing in mind, seollal is the biggest celebration in korea, almost all families get together and do something... renjun's cousins visited, jaemin saw his grandmother and ate with his aunt. jeno, however, saw his parents briefly and stayed in the dorm which again is unusual because if you don't see your son regularly surely you would want to spend as much time possible with him, especially at seollal? when he says that they all kind of awkwardly laugh and the kun directs the conversation to renjun. i think he came out and his parents weren't too impressed about it which is why he gets so flustered when jaemin does something super gay because the catholic guilt and he's worried about his parents seeing. (i've also got an opinion on mark but i'll shut up for now) in general, do you guys think there are any idols who turn down fanservice because they don't want their family to think they're gay? or idols who aren't out to their parents? https://www.vlive.tv/video/60717?channelCode=DB547B v-live where they talk about seollal, jaemin is asked around 5.40 i agree with some of what you say but i get a feeling there has always been quite a strained relationship between him and his fam. remember he was a child actor and has been ‘working’ since he was basically a baby. he’s told at least one story before of his mother making him cry on set of a commercial to get the shot they wanted and i personally think that’s pretty horrible behaviour. he also has mentioned he finds it very difficult to tell her he loves her. i dunno, i agree he’s probs not straight but i don’t think his family situ is to do with it 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
