If real people could queer-bait, this “unlabelled” guy who previously said society should move more towards being “unlabelled”, would be a top contender. 

Honestly, I'm so tired of him constantly being in the news about LGBTQ+ issues. I agree with the sentiment that if he really is queer, he has an obligation and a responsibility given his platform to stand proudly in it. Otherwise, he does run the risk of coming off as queer-baiting, because from what I can tell, everything he's ever said and done points to him being a a cishet white man that likes to wear flamboyant clothing. And as for him being an "ally", being an ally isn't something that you can declare yourself, but something that you show through your words and your actions, and something that the members of the community you claim to be an ally of, deem you worthy of being. It's not a title you can place upon yourself, or that anyone outside the community can place on someone else. As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't done anything actually constructive for the LGBTQ+ community other than seemingly defy gender norms with his clothing. But again, doing what he's doing without either a) doing the work to be an effective ally or b) declaring that he is queer, DOES constitute queer-baiting IMO. And I do agree with that tweet somewhat, in the sense that cishet people calling themselves "unlabelled" undermines the identities of real LGBTQ+ people that face unique challenges and obstacles in everyday life, and even oppression from society and the government.
