I can't find and quote the posts on mobile, but it's about clothes, artists, rainbows, etc.

 

Coming from a homophobic country: no one cares about those things. No one sees a rainbow and goes "oh, that's gay", rainbow is just a rainbow. You can see a ton of homophobic people wearing rainbows, (I even heard something like "they won't take rainbows from us" lmao).

No one cares an artist is lgbt, if they like their music. I was always confused on this thread, when I see "X listens to Y, and Y is gay, so X is gay too (or an ally)". I never knew nothing about private lives of artists I like before I got into kpop. No one will stop listening to Troye if they hear he's gay. If they even hear. It's just music.

If a wall in a music video is purple and pink, it's just that, lmao, purple and pink, nice colors, 70s. 

(When I say "no one", I don't mean lgbt people from here)

 

About idol's clothes.

It's interesting that if shirts have slurs on them, or a bad message, it's stylists' fault, and idols didn't know, they wear whatever.

But if it's a good message, then they're woke kings.

Again, comparing to my country, a bunch of people don't know English and/or don't care what's on their shirts. I've seen very conservative people wearing shirts with lgbt messages, and when you tell them they're like "oh, but I like the color/design, I don't care what it says".

 

There's several idols that specifically stated they support lgbt community, so obviously saying that openly is not a problem. So until an idol doesn't openly state that, I don't care if he wears a rainbow or if his MV is purple. I don't care if he loves a gay musician. I will never praise someone for being supportive and "woke" only because we assume he's leaving secret signs all over the place to let us know. Especially big groups, and especially my faves.

 

You can wear a shirt about women's right how many times you want, I don't trust you until you say something. That, at least, shouldn't be that hard, since I'm not asking from him to come out or anything.

 

Btw, all the examples of certain groups being supportive also don't mean anything to me because they can be understood like something else too. Just stop being cryptic. Way less popular groups with bigger risk for their careers are openly supportive.

And I'm not making anyone do anything, but then fans should stop putting their faves on a pedestal they don't deserve.

If he's gay it doesn't mean he's attracted to EVERY guy, what the hell? I'm attracted to girls,guys, non binary...should I be a permanent mess when I go out because PEOPLE are around me?

This is why I think none of them would ever come out, no matter how big they are, or how much western support they have. They keep showing up on big events with the freaking president of the country lmao, no way that connection will let them do something like that.

I sometimes think it would be easier for the smaller groups (like ACE for example), not too big to get a huge Korean backlash, but would have support from western fans and probably get even more fans because of it.

That's not shyness nor "gay panic": he's not giggling or trying to hide a blush, he looks/sounds serious and confident, often looks at them. It's him having clear boundaries. He prefers to initiate with the ones that he knows will back away (Yoongi, Jin, Jimin back then). Namjoon, Yoongi and Jin rarely initiate while Jimin knows his boundaries now. Tae has taken some time but he's getting there (and I think he might have lived it as a rejection and that's why Hobi is particularly attentive to make him feel loved nowadays). Jungkook is allowed way more than the others (maybe hs sees him as his little brother) but Hobi can be unresponsive with him too sometimes.

They were already rumored to be dating before the Vlive thing (I remember people mentioning them together before) but people saw the Vlive thing as a confirmation of their rumors. If I was an idol I personally wouldn't do that (especially if I was dating a fellow idol/celebrity) but at the same time you had a veteran like Taeyeon doing "lovestagram" with Baekhyun so what do I know. Matching items are almost always used when people discuss dating rumors (like with the Jungkook/Lee Yubi rumor that was recently denied, people pointed out that they had similar bracelets and it wouldn't surprise me if the bracelet Jungkook wore was a couple thing, not necessarily with her, because he wore it quite often and no one was able to ID the brand). To get back to Ryujin and Haechan personally I do think she's into girls but I'm not sure she's a lesbian.

the thing is most idols have "couple items" because their stylists pick the same jewelry and clothes, they wear same personal clothes because they're in style and they're often gifted the same clothes too, so I don't know how relevant it really is if you're not just a regular citizen lmao. Because anyone could be a couple then, especially if we look at rings and necklaces. Like, you have idols showing up at the same place and time together wearing identical outfits, and it's usually ignored by everyone (but shippers), I feel like that's the last "proof" when the couple is already rumored to be together for other reasons (like Jennie and Kai for example)
