seven 191
I'm not entirely sure of course, but since the drama focused quite heavily on fan culture (fan fictions (Yes, this kind), stalking, fanwars...etc), and since it ends with a DBSK concert, I think the writer had to know that a name such as Yoon Jae, even though it's a common Korean name, would be noticed. The fact that there is an actual realistic gay character too. It's a lot of coincidences. Maybe I'm wrong, don't take my word on this. Thank you.... probably you are right.

seven 191
I don't think any of these have been posted here? Part 135727 of JJ talking about how he wants to have a gf but ends up hanging out with men only lmao it's almost as if it's... not an accident... but deliberate... A Japanese TV host asked if he liked to eat 'ingen' (green bean) and JJ misunderstood it for 'ningen' (humans) lol then this ensued.. I feel like he's being very blunt lately Are these the correct translations, especially for the first 2 parts? I saw it, but had different translations. Alex Jung (January 19) https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/bts/8099577/bts-interview-billboard-cover-story-2018 Tweet by E. Alex Jung (January 19) Click here to view the Tweet Fan theory existing, but it's shipy so I won't say about. So after all we'll gonna have a journalist outing a korean celebrity. This is wrong at so many levels. Is one thing to have rumors floating around and an entirely other thing to have a journalist writing about it like this. Unless he is referring to HSC, the words 'korean celebrity gay' shouldnt be put together. Whoever that celebrity is, i feel sorry for him and all the celebrity who have to hide because people like him. seven 191
honestly, i agree. this is messy AF and i know the dude didn't mean anything by it but -- come on, have some wits about you, interviewer dude. seven 191
Click here to view the Tweet yunho and heechul talking about their life experiences while drunk??? omg gay mess incoming it'll be interesting to see xiumin and mark as well, since they're more up in the air. xiumin seems straight as a ruler to me, but then again he's very introverted, so maybe after a few shots he'll be more talkative. Yunho and drinking are never put in one sentence, much more in reality .... didnt ever think that i live the day to see it happened. hope is not just a rumor. seven 191
I know people like to post cute moments of their favs but 80% of the content shared here currently holds no purpose to this thread , Also why is it okay for some groups but not others , not saying either of them is okay , but why the selectivity ?? Imo the selectivity comes from how many fans/how popular a group is. There are trendy groups that are doing a lot of activities, therefor a lot of opinions/posts .... some groups are discuss over and over again and other not so much...
seven 191
We all agree that SM has a history of PR and manipulation of all kinds if it brings more money, but what about other companies? I dont follow so many groups to form an opinion about their management. Does anyone else use dating/friendships like sm uses it? Just curious about it.... 2
seven 191
So Suho did a Vlive today and said this. I think this is our first receipt of 2018 Click here to view the Tweet Does this mean they are still together? This kind of proves a lot of things happen behind closed doors and not always what we see/think of a situation is true. seven 191
I think that they know too well fans love such fan service. So, I had this thought about BTS. This idea is not new: "when making boy bands, the best thing is to be ambiguous about sexuality." (I can explain where I got it, if someone needs to know) So, it's a selling strategy, not boy-band members slipping all the time. Just recently, for example, 1D did lots of "gay" fan service in your face, and it worked wonders for media-play and eliciting fan girls' screams. Two out of 5 guys are dads by now - not necessarily straight but, most likely, not gay. Just sayn'. So... I would not be surprised if Bang ShiHyuk, being the smart man he is, also decided to use this idea of "ambiguous sexuality," so BTS members just mess with us on purpose. I don't say that it means they're all straight. Not at all, Suga and Taehyung are sometimes way too serious about some stuff, but honestly, ~90% of BTS "evidence" people bring up in this thread or elsewhere is fan service. So, if they POST anything or aware of cameras rolling, it's all "official content". They're not stupid. Let's not be naive. The same video can be edited and re-edited in such a way that it tells any story you need. This sh*t seriously keeps fans entertained and engaged. Make people wonder, make 'em question things, make 'em argue online: PERFECT media-play! TL;DR: The conclusion I arrived to is: BTS and their whole crew (that edits footage) consciously WANT to project ambiguous sexuality, so they simply mess with us and confuse us on purpose, with suggestive "gay" stuff, just as they did with those MVs and highlight reels since HYYH era. Intentional playing on "gay stuff" also makes it much easier to cover up anything about the members' real sexuality. You can write everything off as a joke or fan service. I want to know where you got the strategy/theory. I am not a BTS fan, but media play applies to every group. 2
seven 191
Did they really have to play Adam lambert when they were showing Yunho and his friends though lol i mean just saying and I've probably said this before but Yunho looks so effortlessly gay it's amazing how can anyone think otherwise . seven 191
the dancer/choreographer in question is very aware of this ship himself they were quite a popular pair and I totally thought they dated back then (they seem to be close still) from all the speculated relationships this one seemed the most likely one to me too...but who knows. is hard to tell when yunho is touching another man every other week. the men are his close friends (some from elementary school) so i dont know how likely is to date in your inner circle of friends.
seven 191
Tbh I think it's easier for closeted idols to date someone they know and trust, not saying that that's what Yunho has done, but it doesn't seem like a wild scenario to me. I know that dating a long-term friend can get messy, but they are grown ups and I'm sure they'd be able to deal with whatever situation may arise. In other news i was looking up sth that I ended up not finding, and in the process i came upon so many "when will yunho date a pretty girl" tweets like it's been 15 years how r some ppl still so BLIND!! This is irrelevant but I had to let my frustration out. well... dating your long-time friends or your band members is pretty much the same. it is possible, but unlikely - no saying it doesnt happened. also it can be easier but became messier quickly ..and when it gets messy 'the friends' will be able to still be friends? and what about their other close friends? after 'i live alone' episode, i saw same fans shipping yunho and hojun. i dont know if they meant it or just for fun, but still. also didnt see anyone mentioning any girl. probably depends where you look at. seven 191
I don't really agree. If you date a friend and you break up for example, you can go on about your lives and though it may affect your lives' and maybe your group of friends too, it's not a situation you can't deal with. Maybe it's because i know a lot of people who have dated their close friends and it worked out well for them, so i don't see this kind of relationship as a bad thing, i guess i understand why others might disagree though. On the other hand, dating a group member means being with them 24/7 even if you fight or break up and you don't really have a choice to avoid them and that relationship affects the rest of the group as well and it could create such a huge mess, so i don't see how those two situations are anywhere near similar. About Yunho and Hojun, i used to think they were just bffs but after seeing them spending Valentine's and (korean) New Year's together I've changed my mind, so I think there could be sth more between them. I guess depends on someone's personality, experience and opportunity. some things we dont know how they feel unless we experience them, some decisions can be good and work for some people, and the same decisions can be bad and dont work for other people. fans speculate they have a thing since 2012 when they lived together. i hesitate a little because yunho treats all his friends pretty much the same(maybe not spending valentine's day, but doing many other things for them) but it happens that hojun is the one with access to media and tell the stories. i just hope that there is somebody that makes yunho happy, anybody....
seven 191
On an unrelated note, I looked into Kyungsoo and Jo In Sung's relationship and I sort of may be convinced that they're dating now. EXO really are just chilling and being happy with their boyfriends huh, poor straight fans please do tell do you have an opinion on jo in sung? also i wanted to ask in my other post if somebody has an opinion on son ho jun (yunho's actor friend)? i am happy with even a small ping.
seven 191
re: the idols having romantic / sexual relationships within their own groups discourse - I wanna second what ploverover said, except my experience is from being a musician playing in bands for the past 13 years. Again, I realize it's far from being the same as idol life, but within both my own group and others that I've worked with / befriended / toured with, it happens, both with gay and straight people. That said, you can't really say these relationships are like any relationships in life, because for most people, when they start dating someone, they don't already live and work with the person. That can get real intense and overwhelming and complicated, and also offset the balance in the whole group (speaking from my own experience of when I happened to start sleeping with my bandmate lmao). I ultimately couldn't deal with the stress of trying to keep it professional during work time (which bleeds into personal time a lot when you're a touring musician) and making sure I didn't treat 1 bandmate different from the rest, and trying not to take it too hard when that particular bandmate criticized something in my work. I broke it off, which was ugly and messy for a little bit, but we kept it together and are still close friends and co-workers today. And when I tell people on the outside this, people who came to our shows and were around us during the time, they're like "wtf u guys had a thing?? I would never have guessed". So yeah, there is no doubt in my mind that there are instances of idols sleeping together / forming more-than-friends relationships withing their groups. I mean, I didn't even live with my bandmates full-time, but while we toured, the countless instances of waking up with someone's morning boner pressed against my ass, or coming home to a hotel high from performing and being like "well we're drunk and horny in this hotel room in a country where we know no one, we might as well..." ....that's gotta be someone else's experience too. Thank you for sharing your real life experience. This happens behind the scene in most workplaces but much more in entertainment. I mean, it's not to the extent of Suho and Donghwan or Sehun and Chefsuke, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were dating. I kinda have nothing on the "evidence" side of things, as neither of them have social media, but it's obvious they're very close and they're cute together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXg4Mthothw JIS also went to see EXO's concert in Japan with a few of their mutual friends (and he went a couple of other times), he also said this about Kyungsoo: "Q. Nearly 3 million people went to watch Brother in theaters. It feels like no one could be happier for actor Do Kyungsoo than you. I think I was like him when I was younger. He reminds me a lot of myself back then. Kyungsoo was around twenty years old when he debuted in EXO. I met (Cha) Taehyun hyung around that age, and now I see how I used to lean on him as Kyungsoo does [with me]. As I listen to the things Kyungsoo tells me about, I wonder if I had been as curious about so many things as him. I don’t want Kyungsoo to feel alone. And Kyungsoo isn’t attached to things like popularity. He doesn’t ask about what to do if a project doesn’t do well. This kid will say he’s just happy to have done it. It’s lovely of him. It’s the type of thing that has to be acquired or taught, but this friend is already aware of it. It’s good if a project does well in the box office, but if it doesn’t, he’s still glad to have done it. That’s how he gets over things. I learn from him too. Kyungsoo is quite admirable in that way. If a movie doesn’t do well, he says “hyung, it didn’t do well†and leaves it at that. He doesn’t press the matter, but instead goes, “There’s another project coming up, and it’s interesting as well. I think I could try it too.†It’s eye-opening and odd of him. Ah, I really should learn how to simplify like that. The usual thing is to get greedy, to overthink with things like “the box office numbers have to reach this level so that I’ll be in a better position for my next project.†But Kyungsoo keeps to what’s essential. He loves acting for its own sake. He’s remarkable. There are two mistakes young people can make. They try to overcompensate with how adult or how collected they appear - because we make them like that. They get told to grow up as they are judged through older eyes. If I don’t take to a twenty-one year old, it’s because I see them from the eyes of a thirty-six year old, not from someone their age. But this friend couldn’t be doing better. How could he? That makes him my age. Kyungsoo is never too much or too little. Q. Your movie releases this January. That means it could be possible that at the year-end awards for 2017, with you, Do Kyungsoo, Song Joongki, and Kim Woobin, four close friends walk the red carpet together. That would be very nice. Will Kyungsoo be under the newcomer category? Isn’t he qualified for newcomer for up to three projects? Or if not, maybe he could enter under the best male lead category. At any rate, if all of us could go to the awards ceremony then it’ll be less lonely. I’d be honored to have any nomination." He also said he wants to take Kyungsoo along to his fanmeeting, they went to Japan during Chuseok with two of their friends (is this where Sehun got the idea from lol), they go out to eat together with a few of their friends, he sent Kyungsoo a food truck a few months ago and then Kyungsoo sent a food truck to him as well, and JIS went to Kyungsoo's film event. Kyungsoo also said this about him: "I learned how to do acting seriously from him. He gave me some tips to express the character's emotion as well. Originally, I'm not the type to speak my mind to people around me, but working in this field, I'm able to do that. Even now, I often hung out with Jo In Sung-ssi and Lee Kwang Soo-ssi and talk about acting." The staffs were also so kind, but in particular, Jo In Sung-ssi was so caring. Always lighten up the filming location and drew in a good atmosphere. It's a good memory in my life." Their body language is also interesting imo Like I said, I'm not totally sure but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Also JIS said he broke up with his girlfriend because he doesn't understand women and I'm not insinuating anything but They were suspicious since their drama together (2014). Glad to know that almost 4 years later are still suspicious. Edited March 26, 2018 by seven

seven 191
Yes, I've dated bandmates, coworkers, even when I got suckered into acting in a musical rather than directing the band for it I had a thing with a castmate. As others have touched on, you can't change who you're attracted to and spending so much time with someone you're a already drawn to makes it more likely that something will happen. Two things in addition: 1. When you're gay sometimes your options are limited anyway so when there's someone you like actually right in front of you, I think a lot of people are unlikely to pass up the opportunity. 2. I think official-public-announcement-we're-practically-engaged relationships are uncommon in groups but...well...of course. Official, public relationships are a lot less common for our generation anyway and much much more so for same sex couples. I said it before and I'll say it again, I think we get too hung up on the classic view of dating. I think english is a little poor in words or fans are to accustomed to use only one term with multiple implications. Usually i have a hard time guessing the meaning behind 'date' that someone wants to imply. People dont discuss their idol having drunk s**, one night stands, flings etc and use the term 'date'. The same term is used for official/public relationships... so yeah... most of the time i am confused. Also for someone dating can mean 2 meetings at a cafe or 2 years living together. Hope you can understand what i mean, english is not my first language.
seven 191
I was thinking of this today and I'm bored so why not. Do y'all think that certain gay members in your fave group(s) are out to all of their fellow members, just a few, or none at all? If the fans can be suspicious about some members, i think members (and staff) can be even more. We only see a glimpse of their life, but they see almost every second of it. It is hard to hide(or where to hide) when they live and tour together. Even if they dont know for sure i am pretty convinced they suspect.... more like on open untold secret.

seven 191
came across a list of what appears to be rumoured gay korean figures from 2010. according to google translate it was people spotted at gay bars and other sus things like that. ㅈㄱ, ìœ ã…‡ã…‡, 송ㅈㄱ, 우ㅈㅇ, 김ㅇㅈ, ì´ã…ˆã…Ž, ê¹€ã…ã…ˆ, ㄱㅅ, ì¡°ã……ã…, ë°•ã…Žã……, 권ㅈㅇ, 윤ㅈㅅ, ì‹ ã……ã…Ž, 하ㅅㅂ, ì´ã…ˆã……, 김ㄱㅅ, ê°•ã„·ã…‡, ì¡°ã…Žã……, ì´ã…ˆã„±, 김ㅎㅈ, 김ㄴㅈ, 안ㅅㅎ, 주ㅈã…, ㄱㅇㅊ, 조ㅇㅅ, ㄱㅇ, ㄹㅇ, 김ㅎㅊ, ㄱㅈㅈ, ㅇㄷㄹㄱ, 백ㅈㅎ, 김ㄷㅇ is the list, going by initials. some people we found whom possibly matched initials from that time period are: kim heechul jo kwon kwon jiyoung (g-dragon) kim jaejoong sung jaegi (mra, google him for an nsfw but interesting read) park hyoshin an sohee (wonder girls) an seungho (tony an) kang dongwon (actor) baek jinhee baek jihoon song joongki jo insung yoo ah in (thanks 25%Cotton) shin soohyun (u-kiss) kim hyungjun (ss501) of course, there's no real basis or evidence behind this, i must stress. don't take it as word, as it can easily be fake. where did you find this? can you find a 2018 updated one?
