With Jungwoo, in my opinion, it feels like a very brotherly relationship. Jungwoo is really the King of Fanservice and he loves to tease, so most displays of affection are fanservice.

With Xiaojun, I really do not know but it also gives me brotherly vibes. Lucas looks at him like a baby, lol. Or maybe I´m cray.

But I´ve realized that Lucas really likes to manhandle people a lot. He does it often with Ten but I don´t think he´s as narcissistic as people make him to be. If anything, he seems more mature than ever and very open.

I mean, lol, my opinion stays the same.

I think Lucas is more touchy-feeling with Ten, as I mentioned before. He may be attracted to Ten but who isn´t? HAHA. He may have a lot of male crushes...

But really, WayV gives me a lot of brotherly vibes between all of them. There may be some infatuation or flirting but that´s normal.

Simply because you’re close and it doesn’t bother you to touch each other, and 3. For fan service. 

My close friends and I, no matter the sexuality and no matter the gender, we literally mess around and touch each other  all the time (in non-sexual ways ofc), and we aren’t phased by it at all. Like we slap each other’s asses, we touch each other’s boobs/pecs, we fix each other’s hair, we wipe each other’s mouths if there is food, vice versa. And I’ll tell you right away, we are in no way romantically interested in each other at all.

Honestly, some of the names that have come up in this thread are just hilarious to me. Like, y’all really think some of these people are gay simply because they checked out another guy? Like that is HILARIOUS. 

I have soooo many straight guy friends who literally cuddle each other to sleep and dance on each other in the club, and they’ll go home and spend the night with some girl and enjoy a night of eating till sunrise. And I also have many gay friends who just wanna be left alone and don’t want anything to do with skinship, and you would’ve never known they were into men. 
 

At this point, the only idols I can even dare confirm even in the slightest ways are gay are Jo Kwon and Taehyung. And this is literally because of how Jo Kwon literally has a rainbow in his IG description and follows some huge icons in the lgbt community such as Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and so forth. And Taehyung literally wrote a song that resembles a coming out story, and he also is big fans of some big gay figures in pop culture, art, and music. BUT EVEN SO, it’s 2020, these two could just be some very woke, very inclusive, and very open minded individuals. WE. DONT. KNOW.

It shouldn’t make a man gay simply because they are showing love towards each other. It shouldn’t make a man gay because they support things that stereotypical straight men wouldn’t support. It shouldn’t make a man gay if they like things that a stereotypical straight man wouldn’t like (such as liking the color pink, or looking up to female artists versus male artists, or watching LGBT movies, etc). My older straight af brother, who has 4 kids with his wife, literally watched Call Me By Your Name with me and loved it. 

As a gay male, when I was growing up, I wish I had the straight men TODAY in my life. We need more men of all sexualities to be open and inclusive to all hobbies, interests, and lifestyles. We need more men like the men we have today. We are entering a new era of what it means to be a man. Stop generalizing things, you are all perpetuating the stereotypes. 
 

Of course to speculate doesn’t hurt, we can’t help but wonder sometimes, but honestly, some of y’all really need to tone it down. Y’all really out here trynna throw some hands to ensure the world knows you think your idol is gay. Like calm down sis, no one actually knows! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, I hope y’all calm down now and take your speculations with grains of salt. 

Also, I would like to add that there are many people who are bi, gay, lesbian and such and you won't know until they say so because it's not always THAT easy to tell or to assume. I had a co-worker in my previous job who is very manly, big muscles, low voice. A "manly men". Very attractive. And after being there for like a year someone told me he was gay and that he had a boyfriend and that it was no secret hence the reason they could openly talk about it. I was a bit surprised. The guy is not "OMG LGBTQIA rights all the way! Equalism!" vocal type of guy, so what you say is true. Just because a person is vocal or supportive about it does not make them queer.

Regarding idols, I mean, there may be obvious ones like the ones you mentioned, Jo Kwon and Taehyung but there could also be guys like, for example, Lucas, who is always seen as very manly but they could be bi (or something else) and we will never know. 

Everything is possible.

Hongjoong is an interesting case to me. He has openly supported lgbtqia rights before, as your post shows, but he seems to avoid pda and has sometimes said "isn't this weird" when Ateez is being well... Ateez. He gives me some major GD vibes. I also find in interesting that despite him and Seongwha being the same age they are still very awkward around each other and were even more awkward when they debuted. One could say it's because he's the leader so he can't be as affection as the others idk. They are a very interesting group to me.

Another topic that I would like to discuss is the rise of: gay panic, confident gay, gay moments, they are boyfriends, etc... on social media (mostly instagram and mostly on male idols related posts). Is this good, is this a bad thing?  

 

 

In my opinion, it used to be fun and entertaining to use those terms on the low and in memes. But it is getting out of control. Idols actually know what is being said about them on Twitter so it is not cool to throw that around ALL the time.

Do you think this is the case with Hollywood also? Because i see a lot of western celebrities coming out, but only B-list or C-list ones and those who are young. I know arranged marriage was a thing in the Golden Age of Hollywood with Rick Hudson, etc. But i wonder why aren't any A-listers coming out in the present, especially the ones who already established a career. I wonder if other threads like this exist for international celebrities.

I don't know, I feel that many celebrities marry well and they get many benefits out of it and are able to broad their work and be taken more seriously... Of course, that doesn't mean that those couples don't love each other but it is odd indeed...

Timotheé is difficult for me: yes, he was in Call Me By Your Name but while he may look like a "twink" or seem like one, he's attitude/mannerisms are very masculine but he could be bi?
