Ugh I really don't like Shindong...always adding some kinda pressure to questions and such. At the beginning, he was like you must want to be with a girl group, there's no other way you wouldn't wanna meet with a girl group. And Suga was just all nervous 'cause he's the one that said BTS wouldn't wanna get close to girl groups. (Start to 1:50 about girl groups...rest I skimmed and is about trying to give them a friendly greeting in general instead of a gun salute xD.)

He was so tired of people calling him gay (and saying it as something bad) that he just goes straight to the point of denying it, instead of staying quiet, as some other idols do. On YHY's when Seungyoon was trying to explain that some people on YG thought Taehyun was a little feminine, Taehyun interrupted him and said "Simply put, to them I looked gay" and denied it. It doesn't mean he's really not gay, but he just doesn't want the rumour to affect him negatively.

Somehow I get this feeling that the first idol to truly come out in the future won't be one who's been in the industry for a real long time. They've made it this long without saying the words & those who can tell--can tell. And some are open secrets.

 

There's the desire to truly be more like one's self vs the desire to have a career/follow their religion/stay with their family depending on how conservative or not they might be/have a life not completely destroyed by public homophobia, biphobia, transphobia etc.

 

But something's gotta give, and I'm sure that an idol will officially come out one day. When? No idea, but I feel like before 2018, at the least. Sheesh that's a long way away. I can only hope that whoever does come out will be well-received and supported.

Also OT but I really got a lot of respect for the boy playing Nai cause he seems so genuine in his acting and genuinely into his costar which is rare when you cast "straight" actors in these types of films. First movie is a pretty good example cause the previous gump couldn't kiss for shit.

He was young there but it's not like a lot of teens don't know their sexuality or at least know who they're into at that age. He was what--15 then? And even so, a good amount of people know who they're into even at younger ages.

 

All in all, I truly think that Jungkook could be bi *shrugs*.

yeah I know, one picture may not give any justice. but there are a lot of gifs from their interactions back from 17tv days (like the one you provide), and mingyu and wonwoo interactions were a lot more daring and bold than today. maybe they're more aware and careful right now bcs people might think one of them are gay.

Yes, I do actually. I think San E might be bi. I've gotten major bi/gay vibes from Jay Park too, but he's the typical fuckboy straight guy stereotype, so sometimes I don't even know. I will say though that guys like him and other rappers (especially in the west) can get away with being gay because a large part of being a rapper is about flaunting your masculinity, and a lot of people just assume that guys who flaunt their masculinity, and objectify women, are straight by default. Tbh, I don't think Sehun has any doubt about his sexuality. Like he seems like he'd be sure who he is or isn't into. Some peeps have interpreted reaching for Chanyeol's coat as him being uncomfortable o.o. It kinda puts a new spin on the whole thing for me. I don't have like evidence or gifs..it's really just a vibe. Writing songs about females has really nothing to do with sexuality, yet again. How many gay men/bi men etc have written songs about being with females/wanting to be with them? Like so many o.o.

For most people who look a bit more straight you have to find evidence for them.

It's just my observation but most guys in kpop if they look too masculine usually aren't gay

It's usually guys who are extremely feminine who are gay and guys who are masculine but not too masculine looking.

Most people who usually look really straight are trying to appeal to the opposite sex.

So sometimes it's too good to be true.

Another thing I observe is if they are slightly feminine but not too they are usually straight .

Well yea--lots of "masculine-looking" guys could be bi :P.

 

 

Stereotypes have some truth to them but you shouldn't base every observation on them. Some straight guys have lisps, some gay guys play sports, some straight guys are thin and have limp wrists...some gay guys are buff and lift weights and same with bi guys...asexuals guys etc. 'Cause people are different--not everyone is gonna have the stereotypes assigned to their sexuality.
