Which male idols do you think are gay?

been lurking this thread for a while now and it seems every freaking group has 1 or 2 gay males xD

I was just about to post about that

 

 

I've been living in Seoul for nearly two years now & many of my korean friends have said that a lot of gay/bi/etc, are getting into the idol-buisness because it's "safer" and they don't have to hide it just as much. I can understand that it's a lot harder to be gay irl, with normal work and judging parents - than it is in the buisness when it's more gay people around you and you can be more "who you are" and get accepted because fans likes it. I wish Korea was more accepting.. ><

I also wonder sometimes... Is someone who takes part in a cross dressing contest (pre-debut!) more likely to be an ally (or at least more aware of trans* people, as well as the drag queen culture in parts of the LGBT community???)  Or was it just a big joke for them at the time? I'm thinking of Junsu and Eunhyuk. 

No. Koreans (a lot of conservative countries actually, even Russia(!!!)) see men dressing up as hilarious comedy. So yes, its just a big joke to them and whether a male idol has crossdressed (predebut or not) it really means nothing.

they're not drag queens though, they're regular comedians and it happens rarely, only when a skit calls for it.

Yeah getting in the hot springs or going on vacation together doesn't mean they can't JUST be friends. But that video of taemin and Kai I posted was my first introduction to both of them before I really knew who they were. ( yes I'm just getting into kpop)

 

But that video kind of leaves no doubt that they have something more than friends, the way that Kai would touch taemin and how they looked at each other in the car.

Kai is extremely close to his friends though, there are things hes done with ksoo that are mad suspicious, same with sehun, and taemin. Thats why i dont think his (friend)ships can be used as proof that hes not straight.

Honestly, Baekyeon just doesn't make sense as fake to me. Using Taeyeon, prob the most popular SNSD member, for this kind of stunt is not a good idea. Maybe they did break up, who knows. but they were probably real back then, especially with the way it blew up.

 

Same like when people say Kiko was/is GD's beard. That's a terrible choice for a beard, honestly. Use someone the Korean public likes and still do the same push and pull thing with the media. That way you don't mess up GD's reputation and also have people think he's heterosexual. But Kiko is such a bad choice for that lmao.

Wow, can I say I agree with almost everything you said? The only thing I don't agree with is Suho, that I see as straight. Anyway, statistically speaking, it's very likely for some EXO members to be gay/bisexual/pansexual but not more than 4/5. And if I had to point out the "most likely to belong to the LGBT community", I'd name these four: Tao, Sehun, Baekhyun and Kai. Kai I see as staright sometimes, while the other three, I'm almost sure (of course I can never be 100% sure) they are not straight.

Suho is very suspicious too though, i would've thought he was just a straight ally but his relationship with Donghwan makes me think hes definitely not straight

 

And I still dont get why people think Kai's not straight but

Actually, it could be said that for a lot of Koreans all gay people are "genderfluid", since their concept of gender is more performative than ours and tied to heteronormativity. HSC recalled that especially at the beginning a lot of people asked him if he wanted to become a woman.

it looked like a pretty casual interview and they were sitting down, i think jonghyun was the one who mentioned men when taemin said something about not liking/not wanting to be in a relationship with women as in "what about men?" and taemin said he was just going to be alone. Not quite directed at you, maybe I'm just venting, so I apologize beforehand but I don't like stereotyping, I do not see a problem with speculating a bit about the idols sexual orientation but as a Tao stan I also don't appreciate it when people make it a fact or say it's obvious he is gay, he hasn't said that, for all we know it is very possible he is straight and it's just his personality that he has some characteristics we usually associate with gay men, and I don't find the notion of Tao being straight so unlikely tbh.

I don't know if I'm making sense.

 

Anyway, regarding Kris, I just thought that sort of caress was, how to put it, a bit strange in that situation, I didn't see a reason for it. And, I never thought of Kris as gay while he was in Exo (I haven't follow his career after he left) but he strikes me as a very reserved person, like he is very private so even if he were gay or bi, I don't think it would be obvious due to his personality. 

I just got a bit suspicious over some of his interactions with Tao.

 

 

I also want to comment on Sehun discussion, I do feel he is gay, mostly because of some of his mannerisms and I fell like probably other members know or are suspicious about it, at least I think Kai knows, just my opinion.

The one and only thing that I could find was this video although it doesn't match your description of what Jonghyun and Taemin said. Taemin said that he likes staying home while Jonghyun said that Taemin doesn't really go out. 0:45-1:01.
