INI: I've been more updated with them since they're my ultimate fav jpop group and Fengfan definitely is interesting. He posted the next post on pride month: And also, some INI members went to a radio interview and talked about social issues, Fengfan talked about lgbtq issues and also gender issues. To be honest keeping up with the receipts it's difficult since most of the content is behind the paid wall (and jpop fans are very jealous and dont like to share paid content) and a lot of content also is not translated. But I bet they have more interesting to content that got lost and I don't remember . The two groups have a lot more subbed content than most JPOP groups which is nice, though yeah still hard to find things like fancams and radio shows, etc. Still working my way through them all. For Sho, there was this video where Ryuchell talked about their friendship He does seem to say things that seem a bit more inclusive, like during this trip at around the 2:55 mark he talked about how it felt like a date. It is nice to see idols not preface it with things like "If I was a girl it would feel like a date" so I'll always like seeing it. I sometimes think about Ren, though more just because of general flamboyancy and babygirlism. I didn't see that part where he talked about dating. I don't have much on the others in JO1 other than vibes, though there was this time with Takumi wearing a shirt: ____ On the topic of shirts, I came across this one for INI that Rihito wore: But yeah, wearing shirts may or may not mean anything. Still something to ponder. Fengfan doesn't shock me. I believe he said something about Hong Kong (which lost him some support from Chinese fans) so he seems to be decently versed about things going on in the world, more so than other idols. I wonder how much going to university has affect some of them, since quite a few members of both groups attended university and some graduated or near it. Jake and Jay feel pretty straight to me. There was a lot of debate around Sunghoon. Heesung is hard to read. Jungwon and Niki are not popular on this thread. I always wonder if there is a gay group in the kpop industry, irrespective of ages because sometimes they can find comfort and support in each other. Key, Ten, Soobin, Sunoo, Kevin? Their circles overlap and they greeted each other at KCON Japan... unclear + maybe others I'm forgetting. They're pretty much all trainees or individual artists tho, and not generally super famous, at least as of now. But they are all around the same age lol I think large age gaps can be a hard barrier for idols to overcome, particularly if you're trying to make friends you plan to share intimate personal secrets with. This is neither here nor there but since we're discussing this friend group again i'll just mention it: When i posted about this group a couple of weeks ago i expressed some confusion as to how Sung Hanbin and Ichan got close (ichan used to do SHanbin's hair on boys planet, and he did aegyo towards Shanbin after one of his BP performances lol), as well as curiosity about whether SHanbin knows Sunoo or not, and i just found out that they attend the same university (DIMA; Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts) and are in the same year, both entered in 2020. So that kind of thickens the plot but also clears some things up. Ichan is currently taking a gap year but they attended together the previous 2 years. They are in different departments (ichan's department focuses on producing while hanbin is in the kpop department), though their classes seem to overlap somewhat. So i would bet my money that this is how they know each other originally, even if before BP it was just a case of know about each other. Which makes it interesting to speculate about how SHanbin met Sunoo (if he knows him, he can also just know about him of course and greeted him because they run in the same cicles now (although it was a pretty warm greeting, they took each others hand)), and if he knows him since earlier or got introduced to him during BP. Idk, i just found this interesting.
