I have been to Thailand many times.  Being gay or feminine is not out of the ordinary there,  I see more gays being open with themselves than here in the US.  Although not recognized by the government,  many Temples will perform same sex ceremonies.  I have a friend who married his Thai partner at a Temple,  but they have no benefits from the government.   Gays do not hide there but they are more conservative as a whole than in the US.  Thai people, even straight couples, will not hold hands or kiss in public.  It is very possible that Ten or Khun (From 2PM,. he had many rumors), are very accepting of who they are but do not mention it in Korea because of the way Koreans are towards homosexuality.

So i didn't have anyone to talk about this, but i like need to talk about this with someone.

So ... i saw like some both and newyear videos a while i go (like last week) and i don't follow them that much, but something got me curious, is like a video of both explaining why they never kiss in front of anyone and i was like what ???? they never kiss ok that's not really a big deal maybe they have a plausible explanation , so then he started talking why ... that was because he wanted to keep their relationship personal and things like that.

And i was like  ???? what? you have a fucking giant fanbase and hold fucking fanmeeting for your "couple" but giving even a peck on the lips is "too personal' ? aaaalright

Today they came to my head again, and i did some research, i found this giant ass theory of one of their fans explaining  why she thinks their relationship is fake and it's pretty logical and full of receipts

Thai people are conservative.  They accept gays and gays are open there but even straight couples will not hold hands or even kiss in public.  Thats just how they are.   Being a gay couple Both and NewYear, who are both gay and open,  will never kiss in public.  their love for each other is portrayed well on IG but they will only show so much.

See, it's things like this that convince me that Jonghyun is gay, has finally fully embraced that and isn't hiding it anymore.

 

It sounds like he was either talking about wanting the cake (and Taeyeon bought it for him) or that he had purchased the cake and was talking about it to her earlier. Then he directly points out in the video (that he later goes to post online) that it's a rainbow. Which is strange if it's just a cake.

 

We know that Jonghyun spends a lot of time online and is really educated and liberal about a lot of social issues (including LGBT rights). Therefore I think it's safe to assume that he's aware that June is Pride Month and that the rainbow is associated with the LGBT community. This just seems really intentional to me. In the same way Taeyon posting the rainbow/unicorn on National Coming Out Day and Key walking around wearing LGBT symbols seemed very intentional without actually saying anything.

This is why I'm always confused when people assume Vernon is straight*. His actions toward Seungkwan (and other males) was pretty damn questionable up until debut. While I understand the rationale of them being young, like I've said before, many people already know the gender/s they're attracted to by that age and many have dating and sexual experiences by that point. It's not rare at all. I'd assume it's actually the norm.

In addition to not seeing evidence of him being attracted to females. I also really wish we applied the same standards to "proving" that someone is straight as we do to "proving" that someone is gay. When we question whether or not someone's gay, people want an affidavit read aloud on tv by someone with a new tattoo that says "I have sex exclusively with men" whereas straightness is as simple as "___ doesn't ping me", which has always struck me as illogical and somewhat offensive, as is the opposite. I'd love some consistent standards. We should apply them to the way we treat bisexuality in this thread as well.

The reason why Jongkey, Gunheechul, and Jaeyong posts don't get negged is because their shippers come through with receipts on them that are at least half-believable. Most people that visit this thread agree on Jongkey and Gunheechul being couples, so people are happy to see updates on them. Jaeyong less so, but they do have some interesting moments.

Sometimes I wonder what it takes for an idol to actually come out, if they can say something so blatant and still not be believed. It reminds me of this article about a Japanese female idol who talked about a girl crush in an interview. The MC asked if she was a lesbian, and she said, "I'm not a lesbian. I'm bisexual." The article ended with, "Whether this was an actual admission of orientation or youthful snark, time will tell."

Because I have some gay friends, and my uncle is also gay, so in RyeoWook, I saw in his way of speaking or gestural that he is gay.
