• Speaking of music, Kino wrote a song titled Always Difficult Always Beautiful with fellow member Wooseok. It references San Junipero, a Black Mirror episode about a Lesbian couple. A fan (who is actually on OH) thanked him for writing the song at a fansign and it's such a heartwarming moment.

• Kino is clearly open-minded and knows about LGBT symbols, etc. The follow-up to the above moment is really cute too!

• He covered Fools by Troye Sivan (an openly gay singer) on Pentagon Maker. The MV depicts a gay relationship. He also mentioned in an interview with RIVERIVER (vol. 17) that he considers Troye Sivan and Mura Masa as his influences (Mura Masa's MVs have shown LGBT couples and he has performed during pride week several times):

• He's very supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. He could be an ally, but his support seems very personal. It stems from somewhere deep within.

• Many people have noticed his clothing/styling. While this could just be the stylists' choices, it's very likely that Kino knows the significance behind each item.

• Some people found his friendship with Vernon to be 'suspicious' (Personally, I think the two just bonded over their shared interest in music, composing, etc, but who knows?).
• He seems (seemed?) to have a crush on Yuto. I've seen quite a few 'interesting' moments between them.

• Kino recommended The Handmaiden, an acclaimed movie featuring a lesbian couple.

• He uploaded of picture of him holding an LGBT book, We Are Okay.

In short, stan this beautiful and talented human being.

I agree with Kino possibly being bi/pan. Wouldn't surprise me tbh. That was initially my impression of him actually. 

Either way, Kino deserves all the love and good things in the world. Pentagon, in general, are just really open-minded and supportive people.

Oooh this is interesting tbh. I remember at AAA 2018, Mark also greeted Taehyung at the ending ceremony/pictures. Tbh I have a feeling Mark himself might be attracted to guys(bi imo) and maybe he found Taehyung cute? Or maybe it could be Mark is an lgbtq+ ally and birds of a feather tend to flock together. Mark is definitely an lgbtq+ ally since his sister is married to a woman.

Since the topic of Enhypen came up I agree with Sunoo but I can tell one thing for sure is that Niki is pretty darn whipped for Sunoo and it's not because now they are in the same group so they are close but I saw that wayyy back in I-land as well. Infact there was a clip of Niki hanging around Sunoo and he proceeds to pinch Sunoo's cheeks which for some reason was very quickly deleted by the company but some fans were quicker and had already downloaded the video and you probably might still find it on youtube or twitter. I am not going to make assumptions maybe they are just close. He also seemed to like/have a soft spot for Hanbin a lot. 

When I watched I-land Niki came off as a very guarded person to me who had his walls up, he must've seen something in Sunoo to convert into Puppy mode when he is with him.

Tbh I was surprised to see Taehyung was in the list for idols chosen by korean lgbtq+ men. Usually it's Jimin and sometimes Jin, but I guess V also attracts his fair share of men besides idol fanboys. It's kind of obvious from that list most of the idols/actors lgbtq+ men find themselves attracted to are on the 'manly' side while V and maybe Kyungsoo(he seems versatile visual wise like Taehyung) are the only flowerboys on that list.

Hi, just popping in to say this isn't nearly the first time for Tae^^

Jin, Tae and JK are usually picked most often on the polls. Specifically Tae.

Considering these three are sometimes refer to as the visual line by some fans and the idols who are usually listed on these polls are generally popular with k-fangirls too for their visuals or bodies, it's been joked before that gays in Korea have similar taste to k-fangirls. Many gay men in Korea don't vote based on analysis or whatever lol they simply vote base on looks. Subjectively, who they think are attractive/ideal type.

Jimin is rarely listed on these popularity polls. (He's actually more popular with straight men - which is a whole nother topic of its own..) Also coincidence or not, ever since JK has become more "eccentric" with his tats and long hair he hasn't been mentioned much either. As we know, females fans in Korea are not always big on his new look either initially.

• Pic 1: He asked a female fan at a fansign, "are boyfriends so easy to find?" He was frustrated he didn't have one. It could've been a joke, but even the fan was left confused.
• Pic 2: He saw an Eminem poster and immediately thought of him as handsome.
• Pic 3: On Chao Yin Zhan Ji (CYZJ), he chose Wu Jiacheng to be his partner as he "was attracted to him at first sight."
• Pic 4: He liked a picture of a shirtless Ronaldo on Weibo.

It's become a joke because of the numerous very straight talk show hosts and youtubers visibly falling in love with Jimin on camera. "The jimin effect" is real, and probably stems from the fact that Jimin has an overall very androgynous vibe (looks, voice and demeanor), and is effortlessly charming.

i definitely find Yanan so interesting, i properly had chance to appreciate him only on that collab show and loosely followed him, i think he definitely has some interest in men, at the "flirty" times you can see him stop get shy about it right after. I think he does without realizing then gets panicked lol

Adding on: In Korea specifically we can see his popularity with men sort of due the Gallup polls too. He's the first male idol with highest demographics of Korean men. Even surpassing popular female idols eventually.

The fact BTS brand is so popular with the Koren public it's expected some of them would be popular with men too tbh, however it's lowkey surprising to see JImin name listed so high. From what I've observed watching Korean reactions, is they (both girls and guys) seem to like how sexy (sensual) he is on stage while cute off stage. Also Koreans love using the word (pretty/beautiful - 예쁘다 /이쁘다) in relations to anything he do... pretty speaking voice, pretty dance lines, personality, visuals, etc...I don't know how to explain it but I don't think they're necessarily saying this because they find everything he do "feminine"...but then again I guess for some of them they do...idk maybe the whole adygoyenouss vibe y'all mentioned is having a effect on Koreans too...

imo it's nothing surprising, my gay friend is so into taehyung(and he absolutely has no interest in kpop whatsoever). jimin attracts straight males more than anyone it's kinda amazing tbh

Would love for someone to do an analysis on Seventeen tbh since I don't know much about them. I will give an opinion in general about the members:

Mingyu- straight or bisexual

Wonwoo- I thought gay but he could be straight tbh

Woozi- don't know but some mentioned him and Mingyu/Scoups

Vernon- straight most likely but could be bisexual

Jun- gay or bisexual

Th8- gay or bisexual

Jeonghan- straight

Seungkwan- gay or straight(I get confused by him)

Hoshi- hmm I feel like pan for some reason

Scoups- gay or bisexual

DK- straight but sometimes seems bicurious

Joshua- straight

Dino- have no idea tbh

I doubt more than half the group is gay/bi but I find them really interesting tbh. The only ones I am sure are straight are Jeonghan and Joshua lmao. Vernon and DK also seem straight but sometimes curious. Okay I admit it's mainly because of their pairings with Seungkwan and Hoshi. I have this feeling Mingyu has experimented with guys just from his behavior sometimes, but I don't know if he realized he does or doesn't like guys. Jun and Th8 seem open minded imo and maybe like both? Wonwoo and Seungkwan, I honestly don't know even though I said gay or straight. That's how confused I am. Scoups is very sus with his fondness for Jeonghan and Woozi. Hoshi's drunk thing has got me thinking he's not straight and the fact he repeatedly asked DK for kisses was cute. As for Dino, I have no clue whatsoever.

I don't vibe with the narrative that straight men like Jimin because he's feminine / androgynous.

It feels toxic that people rationalise straight men's fascination with a charismatic male performer by projecting femininity onto him, especially an Asian one (since a lot of his 'feminine' softer, rounded features are just Korean features). After years of policing masculinity and bullying men that seem 'gay', I doubt straight men have just overcome all their internalised homophobia and effeminiphobia which is why comments like this are frustrating..

 

I actually thought he's popular because he has a boyish and relatable charm, but is also cool and deadly on stage, standard reasons to stan someone you aren't attracted to. Maybe he feels like a younger brother or he's supremely talented and straight men do simp for Ronaldo and Messi and wear their names with pride. (Edit: Or just maybe, support someone they think a gay guy by putting aside prejudice).  But everyday I read someone calling him pretty and feminine and that must be why straight men like him and my brain just hurts...

It's hard to know where Jimin's actual gender presentation choices end and where all these narratives take over - if not straight dudes struggling with queer feelings, it's some maknae line shipper that wants to fit Jimin into his role as some sort of muse to Jungkook or seductive  vamp to TaeKook.

I agree since many of his fanboys stated they thought he was cool because he could dance so well and is naturally sexy on stage. That doesn't mean they are attracted to him and could be more of an admiration.

I don’t even think Jimin is very feminine / androgynous. This man is just beautiful and he’s so captivating when he performs. He also has a cold look which Koreans call “chic” kinda like Irene and Krystal. 
I don’t get why people like to make him seem so feminine. Straight men have all sorts of male role models. Claiming they like Jimin because he is feminine is kinda problematic.

You know there are few artists/dancers around that are so alluring that they capture your sight. He is just one of those I think and on some level he reminds me of prince. Not musically, but just his overall aura and the appeal he has to so many people. Also, that article is wrong on so many level. 

My personal opinion is that he actually has many masculine sides, especially when he stands with his hands in his pocket or when he is listening to his members talking. It's just that he is a professional dancer, so his poses and dancing is sensual and fluid. If people just watch modern dancing or ballet, they would recognise his movements and how they carry themselves.
