But yes, the majority here thinks Taeyong is gay (myself included)
I am looking forward to see more of BaekYongs interactions in the future, so hopefully we can understand it better!

It’s funny how for me my biases or bias wreckers from bts are all with gay receipts lol 

like yoongi, tae, Jimin. There’s also hobi and Namjoon even though hobi doesn’t have any unfortunately lol. I just wanted to know what are recent receipts on Namjoon cuz the bird app is going crazy thinking joon is hiding a whole wife and child.

Does anyone else feel like YG groups in general tend to have less LGBTQ+ members? For iKon I'd say maybe 2 ping, for Big Bang 1 and for Winner, no one's really on my radar but I didn't really follow them as closely.

SM groups on the other hand, I feel have a greater percentage? Like I have genuinely seen arguments that 2/3 of OT9 EXO could be LGBT+ (with Chen, Xiumin and Lay overall being agreed upon as straight). 

Idk maybe I'm reading into it, but I've never really seen anyone make that many arguments for lgbt members in YG groups (this goes for GG's too)

yes because lgbt people go training to the agency where there is already queer idols. 

I think yg discriminate gay people a lot, wasn't taehyun (ex member of winner) bullied by other trainee because they thoughts he was gay?

Maybe YG discriminates against fem-queer men and masc-queer women (meaning they're very obviously queer to the blind eye, i.e. Jo Kwon, Key)? This is my speculation, but I think GD is a huge LGBT icon (unofficially), and he's been sus af to me for years, but because he's very wishy-washy (and basically carried YG to success), he's an exception. I agree that YG doesn't have a lot of obv queer idols in their groups, but it's possible they have members like GD who could pass as str8. 

I like to think SM and JYP doesn't discriminate so long as they stay closeted, which is still really sad. I also personally feel like SM and JYP's music style overall is more appealing for queer folks; or so it is easier to spot queer artists in their style of music. 

As for GGs, YG only has 2 ggs (excluding Swi.T) so it's a bit hard to tell who could be lgbt. It's also harder for me to spot which female idols are queer in general though, so idrk.

jinwoo and even sometimes mino ping for me (still think he likes women tho) so thats an interesting opinion, but yeah winner arent discussed here much

jinwoo genuinely never seems interested in women, he idolises GD and during winner tv and stuff he'd get really shy around him, could just be affection for someone he idolises but is still interesting. gd king too <33 he has interesting interactions with mino too but that could be fanservice-y so i wont add any

also not a receipt but I just think it's amazing how after KBS banned winner from performing their song 'island' on music shows for being inappropriate due to 'homosexual imagery', they appeared on a kbs radio show where they literally just kissed each other. Rebellious kings winner will not stand for homophobia.

Oh for sure! I'm always skeptical of what "idols" (aka their sns managers) shared online. Pretty positive that all of their posts, tweets, and photos are vetted through multiple staff before they appear on the internet.

Alas, my friend was still super happy to spot the subtle rainbow hearts on the tweet.

But really, I think nomin are overall more noticeable than noren or najun/renmin (sorry I don't know what the pairings are called) because there were more questionable moments and skinship among JM and JN in their early days, with JM being very initiative and JN receptive to whatever the former did to him. Meanwhile RJ came into the picture much later without the Mickey Mouse Club and Rookies history, and he was quite hesitant to skinship until later (circa 2018?). Also fans well shippers I guess like the idea of childhood best friends turning into lovers so SM pushed the ship further when JM rejoined the group after his hiatus.

P.S. It does seem like RJ pairings are more popular in China due to his nationality, where in South Korea nomin is the popular one?

I think it would be interesting to discuss Kyungsoo (D.O). I’ve been unable to get much from him so if anyone else had more strong ideas please share! It’s easy to dismiss him a straight due to a lack of receipts or whatever but idk I’m unable to shake my suspicion that maybe just maybe he’s not. I mean he’s at least an ally cause he went to watch lgbtq productions like The Handmaiden (with Sehun lol), Jo Kwon’s Priscilla (with Suho hehe) and the musical Hedwig right?

Haha, I agree with the friendship to lover thing so they are being pushed more. Until the GO era, JM and JN were more noticeable and then when JM bought a bracelet for him and RJ, I think that's when everyone started putting on the shipper lens for these two  Though, like you said, JN, JM, and RJ just seem like a love triangle and man, I saw a lot of shippers fighting who's realer  it ain't that serious.

Taehyung definetaly isn't straight, but the rumours about him having girlfriend are quite common nowadays. Also he lately talks about all these 'having family' things very often. I think he is bi/pan who doesn't consider creating family with a man though.

Taehyung is very traditional and values family a lot, so regardless of what his sexuality is (straight, bi/pan, gay, ace etc) i see him settling down with a girl and starting a family in the future. Kids seems like something he very much wants, so i don't think he would sacrifice that if he could help it, and let's be real, he nor any other idol will be able to start a genuine family involving kids with a same sex partner anytime soon. I also think that if he is bi/pan then he will most likely only act on his attraction towards women publically and officially.  

So yeah, i'm of the opinion that he's possibly LGBTQ+, but i don't think he will ever open up about it and will probably lead the kind of life that is expected of him in the future.

BTS' maknae line have like 5 dating rumors each at any given point in time that various parts of the internet think are accurate (twitter swears by one or two girls and korean forums another 2 or 3). Taehyung's rumors are usually with actresses or non-celebs, but none of them have more proof than they were at one point in time in the same general area or own similar items/have the same hobby. It's all very baseless (even when they were pushing those subway pictures of him and that actress it turned out that they weren't even taken on the same day). 

It's pretty funny if you follow this kind of stuff on the korean side though (through twitter + forums) because you can see them cycle through each rumor as soon as either the member in question or the 'love interest/supposed girlfriend' does something that could vaguely connect them. Then when they act in a way where there is no connection or they can be connected with another girl these same people will start up rumors with the next or a new person instead. If you hang around long enough this pattern becomes very obvious (every few months a new girl will be added to the roster and another dropped as well, and the rotational system will continue), it's kind of funny. According to some of them the BTS members must be out here living that poly lifestyle (which i mean all the more power to them lmao). 

I don't doubt that some (or even all) members are dating and/or that some of them have girlfriends/a partner, don't get me wrong, i just wouldn't take the rumors as anything but rumors because of the ridiculous nature of them. Also, all the members are getting more and more rumors because they're getting older so people expect them to date (at least sane fans (and antis lol) do). Usually when there are idols that are dating and they get revealed it never is the people others suspected, it almost always feels very random (one exception i can think of is maybe Heechul and Momo, they were very obvious visiting Momo's hometown at the same time during chuseok etc). 

This got pretty long lol, i'm a rambler so i apologize...
