The lasts posts are super off topic. Can we please let the Taeyong issue aside? There are specific threads for the scandal and at this point is a fight between the two sides. You're not even talking about homophobia anymore

i'm just sick of the misinformation that keeps getting bashed into people's heads without anyone actually taking a second to think about it. i never actually leave this thread becasue oh is a cesspool so i have no clue about those threads lol

I think this is the SuperM content that belongs in this thread. These two can't hide their crushes on each other

Since we've now moved into the part of the conversation where people complaining about this being off-topic without actually posting anything on-topic either, I'll post some old-school gayness.

This collab did not get the love and appreciation here that it deserved.

We've hit the one year mark before he's released from the military and I'm really interested to see what he does with that complete.

I'd like to discuss his lyrics from his last solo album but I know when that came out some people were uncomfortable with that because of connections being made to Jonghyun and the freshness of that wound.

I'm thinking about posting some speculation and thoughts here since more time has past (although I'll probably put it behind a spoiler cut for those who want to avoid it).

Recently Key was seen wearing fan-made heart-shaped keychains, one has a photo of Jonghyun and the other a picture of himself.

i know this is probably an overused query, but i was curious about everyone's opinions on the bts member's sexualities? (particularly those who frequent this thread often)

I’ve come to the conclusion that V and Jungkook are gay. Yoongi and Jimin are bisexual. RM, JHope and Jin are straight. But Jin confuses me sometimes, now and again I get the feeling I might be wrong about him.

I know I'm late to the party, but... if we were to judge people based on how they were at 13, we'd have to write off about 90 % of the population -- *particularly* as far as dumbass homophobia goes. Hell, we'd have to write off a good bunch of gay people, too.

Is that an excuse? No. But I am far more interested in how he is today. I'll judge him for real when someone digs out some juicy shit he did six months ago.

Asexual doesn’t mean you’re gay

You don't really have to be specifically gay to be queer any more.

denoting or relating to a sexual or gender identity that does not correspond to established ideas of sexuality and gender, especially heterosexual norms.

Asexual could fall into the queer bracket if that person wanted to identify as such. It depends on the person I guess.

V and Jungkook are gay imo but I am more sure about V than I am about Jungkook. Jimin, Yoongi and RM might be bi and might be straight. Jin and Jhope are straight imo.

How so?

He just doesn't. To add here though: the way moonbin used to have a crush on him while he was completely "new phone who this" about it makes me think besides not being interested in moonbin he just isn't interested in men period.

(btw not to bring discourse back to the thread but asexuality is very much not straight and non sexually normative and I think solely because of that it should have a place to be talked about in this thread, regardless of how we as individuals might feel about ace people being queer or not, imho)

Yep. In the past/west 'queer' was used a lot as a throwaway insult for gay men by ignorant straights.

The definition itself is much broader these days to take into account the way 1. LGBT community has 'claimed back' the word and 2. the spectrum of ways in which people now identify.

For example you might class yourself as bisexual in orientation but asexual from the point of view that you don't physically act on it.

When did this happen? The word '' queer '' is still an extremely sensitive topic.

Ren is GAY

But how do we know? Just because he looks and acts as feminine doesn't mean he is gay.

Besides his team mates always touch and do skinship with him. Doesn't make them also gay ? and it must feel bad for Ren when they do this if he is tend to like boys

Some in the community have reclaimed the word, not all, and it's not up to you or anyone else to decide that for them. Identifying individually as queer is fine, but using it as an umbrella term is not.

Some people don't really give a damn about what they see, if they want to believe that oppa is not gay and/or are uncomfortable with the idea, they are going to reach for the stars. A lot of them shout stereotypes!! when we try to show them proofs when they don't know how stereotypes work and that they are often accurate.

Oh knock it off with the virtue signalling bs.

I'm not 'deciding' anything for anyone and I was having a reasonable conversation with a specific person. I'm not getting into fights about this stuff.

Just block me, please. I could do without this nitpicky bunkum from people who just want to start fights.

I'm glad that people refusing to associate themselves with a word that many still feel is a slur that carries a painful history is virtue signaling to you because how dare someone so arrogant and disrespectful such as yourself treat people with how they want to be treated. Maybe if you left your self-serving and dismissive bubble for a a minute you'd see that.

But what would I know? I'm just picking fights after all.
