Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

Sorry but, it's really just the popular fashion accessory. "I am safe" meaning came after some of those pictures, and, that meaning doesn't exist in Asia anyway. Seriously nobody knows it.

Don't apologise, like I say, it's a contentious and muddy issue that may be no more than a fashion statement.

I'm not sure where its origins came from or how long it's even been around, just that there's been a lot of K-pop idols wearing them and then talk of wide-ranging minority support. If it's meaningless in Asian culture, just strike it out. It's no biggie. :)

What Asian countries do you think are more ahead of South Korea in lgbt+ rights?

With Nam Taehyun again, I’m surprised he has a girlfriend. I thought he was gay. As a bisexual person he doesn’t ping as bi for me but, that’s just feeling. He could be bi or pan.

I don’t know why but, he seemed like the person who wouldn’t do a whole bearding thing. That’s why I will agree that he’s bisexual.

His brother has the pride flag on one of his instruments. If I remember correctly; he may just think it’s RAINBOW! I think his brother is supportive lgbt+. What do you guys think? His @funny_hyun on Instagram. 3rd of June 2018. The instrument has a rainbow. Could be nothing just thought I’ll share. He’s participating in the new produce!

Unpopular opinion

but I think Taehyun is bisexual or pansexual.

There isn't just gay or heterosexual.

Since he's dating that girl, I see it as he probably likes girls but also likes men too

For me, the thing I keep coming back to is his "Two Truths and a Lie" statement, where he listed two things we know to be true (having bipolar and insomnia) and then "liking girls." If he were bi or pan, why would he have said that?

Also, I'm not sure we can say anyone is "not the type" to have a beard in a country like SK. Most gay/bi people in SK don't want to come out to their parents, and with the high societal pressure to get married and have kids, if you don't come out, your parents are going to be constantly telling you to find someone to date and marry (actually, even for those who do come out, sometimes their parents will still be in denial about it). He also has military service to look forward to, and with the witch hunts going on there, I wouldn't be surprised about any gay/bi person trying to protect themselves from that.

Beyond that, sadly, there's always the possibility that he's just trying to force himself into heterosexuality. That happens all the time, even still in more LGBT-friendly countries.

In a country like SK, where there's so much secrecy around LGBT identities, we really can't take things at face value.

Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong

i get that as kpop fans we want to have SK be fabulous, and there's always promises of "well young people are different!" but honestly SK is still in a pretty awful place as far as LGBT+ rights are concerned (and gay kpop fans have been shouting "well young people are different!" for a decade now and not much has changed). mandatory military service just makes everything worse as well, with "gay hunts" leading to dishonorable discharge and lifetime shame.

you can probably live comfortably as a gay person there (especially if you are a foreigner), but SK is still very far back and the societal pressure can be crushing.

.

Potentially more like how when people would ask me if I was "Straight" or if I was "Gay"

Neither was the truth even though I liked both genders

The lie is 'I like girls" and the truth potentially "I like both girls and boys"

Who knows. I do understand what you are saying.

But I don't want to outright dismiss each idol's girlfriend as a beard.

Cause the Hets dismiss anything gay as "Bromance" or "Fanservice" and we see how irritating that can be

I am not going to do what they do and dismiss each female as a beard or say "They are gay and in denial"

Cause dismissing and ignoring ones claims makes me feel uncomfortable I guess.

It's why Shawn is having such a hard time. People dismissing girls as beards and being adamant hes gay.

I personally think Taehyun bi or pan.

i always wonder what do they think when they touch each other's thighs, i mean isn't this place extremely sensitive for men? 0u0plz.png

I wonder as well, lol.

This reminds me of when I first heard that some guys like to jack off together (back when I was a teenager).

Is that really a thing? I need to know lol.

Do you think if they stopped the whole gay witch hunt more idols will come out?

* edit* is there any updates on Aaron Yan because that situation couldn’t be nice. I would feel like everyone one is staring at me. Do you think he’ll still have a successful career as I like his music.

This is a really cute picture, nothing else. I also really like the rainbow at the back and wanted to share it here!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENO!

Also, it may not be intentional but besides the rainbow, there are two lamps.
The lamps look a bit phallic lol.

Not to belabor the point, but can they stay on message for like 2 seconds lmao:

(x)

It always reminds me that there's a girlfriend for at least one of these men playing gooseberry amidst all this.

I wonder if their wedding will look like that famous groom's best man MV. It's actually sad - truly if they are a couple, they'll end up being split up by their society's conventions, if they stay.

I think South Korea is on one hand a wonderful country that we could learn a lot from in terms of kindness/politeness, simplicity, appreciation for nature and family/friends, hard-work ethic and diligence, among many other things. I think it has lots to offer the world and I do like the people.

But there's a dark side and you only need to scratch the top surface of K-pop even, to start seeing it. It really bugs me how new K-pop fans think that learning Korean via some app and aiming to work there is going to be a utopia of meeting BTS around every corner. YouTube is full of 'warning' videos from non-Koreans who see a very different side far removed from the K-pop glitz and glam. And it is very hard for LGBT+ and other groups to even get a look in. You have to salute those that make, or are forced to make, a life for themselves there. I think it's a very tough life if your sexuality/outlook doesn't fit.

All valid points, as are the others mentioned. At the end of the day only he knows.

I don't feel as benevolent towards Shawn though. He was either very badly advised or he is, quite simply, a total melt. He could have handled that way better.

But he didn't say, "I only like girls." He just said, "I like girls," which would not be a lie if he were bi or pan.

Also, there's a huge difference between people dismissing public relationships basically to the celebrity's face (with gay rumors based on nothing concrete, from what I've seen with Shawn Mendes) and privately recognizing that this doesn't seem to match up with pretty clear statements he's made in the past. With how common bearding is among regular LGBT people in SK, it's not a wild notion that some celebrities would do it too.

Of course, only he knows how he really feels. I just think we should be realistic about the situation for gay people in SK and know that they won't always be able to tell the truth.

I agree with you! We can’t really know. Again I hope it’s not bearding as it just makes me feel sorry for the girl and sorry for the man that feels the need to do it. I don’t listen to Shawn I find him boring but, the way he handeled the whole thing was a little dramatic. Nobody gets cold sweats that people think they’re straight so, why is it like this the other way round? Apparently he said that again I could be wrong so sorry in advance.

Donghae and Eunhyuk never fail to confuse me lmao. Hiding in plain sight that even I a non-het gets confused. The only thing that makes me confused is Sehun in this situation. If they where together D and E why did D supposedly like S. That also confuses me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only thing I saw people talking about in regards to Donghae and Sehun was that picture of them at the sauna. Going to a sauna is not really a romantic activity in Korea, so I'm not exactly sure why people made such a big deal out of it. Do correct me if I missed something though.

But in general, I don't think Donghae had anything romantic with Sehun. I think he just supported him as a company senior and hyung (and possibly a fellow not-straight person). D and E were attached at the hip during that whole time, which would have been kind of odd if he had been dating another guy. Just my two cents though.

is he saying they live in same apartment or he mean that they live in the same apartment building?

by the way he act i dont think he mean in the same apartment building even bc everyone knows that so why he is acting like if he just had exposed himself?! XD

i am surprised and was not expecting that they could be living together since the apartments they show us seemed a bit different from each other. this is really confusing

edited:
could it be that they both have apartments under their names on the same building to cover it up but they live together in one of them and in the other apartment actually live another person (like maybe someone of their family) or maybe they have 2 apartments and alternate between them (i wish i could be rich to do that)

Agreed 100%. Logically speaking "I like girls" wouldn't be a lie if he indeed liked both girls and boys.

Also to piggyback on your post, there's no comparison between gay fans calling someone a beard and straight fans heteronomalizing sus interactions. One group might conceivably know what they're talking about and the other frankly does not and could not. In the same way some moms say "I've been your age, you've never been mine", many of us have lived in the "straight" world. We understand it. They could never hope to dream of understanding ours.

Why people like so much this guy here?

"

3. [+163, -87] Eunhyuk once said that when he was in junior high, he was on a school trip when he went into the girls' room at night and touched them. He bragged sexually assaulting someone on broadcast. I don't feel it's right for him to come on TV. "

I’m just saying what I got from the thread with Sehun and Donghae. Thank you for telling me more as I didn’t know that much.

Your name is "losetodo" which means "I know everything" but it seems like you don't. That story is so old and people changed it so many times just to hate Super Junior. But the girls were awake, it was something mutual and he didn't touched them sexually, it was just poking, tickling, etc, because they were playing, boys and girls. And that's all.

Okay it's like 1am here so sorry if I sound seriously delulu with this post but: Even if Taehyun was straight or bisexual or whatever, I can't see this relationship being real imstupid.png

First of all, there's this video, which allegedly shows them going on a date. Because of course Korean celebrities go on secret dates in broad daylight with no facemasks, and of course they don't notice some random journalist following them with those loud camera shutters. Also it seems to me this video is insinuating that they went on this date on the 21st of April, a day before the news broke, and this journalist somehow had time to conveniently edit in a screenshot of the article that confirmed the dating, and then post the video on the same day.

And then there's this video

Which honestly reads like a scripted conversation. Like...they have no chemistry and it just seems so wooden, like it came right out of a K-drama fdkdf. This teaser was also dropped the day after the scandal, most likely to build up hype for the show

giphy.gif

Like to me even if Taehyun wasn't gay, this honestly just seems like a fake relationship to promote the show they're on together imstupid.png
