As for Jaehyun, I'm not sure. Sometimes I feel like he just goes along for the ride, especially since he made that comment about finding it weird for men to sleep under the same blanket but maybe there's a bit of cognitive dissonance going on, or something he said to play up in front of the cam. But there are times where he initiates it too like that moment he started sniffing Taeyong's bare knee. 

 

I don't have much of an idea for the members outside of NCT U since I haven't watched them as closely, so I haven't a perspective on Yuta yet.

Idk what to think about Jaehyun, sometimes he does questionable things, he's very clingy with a lot of members as well but he doesn't give off the same vibe as Taeyong.

 

I could see him being straight and going along with the skinship, plus he's obviously very attached to Taeyong and doesn't refuse his touches, he even initiates it sometimes but I don't know how much he goes along with fanservice without minding it since he's close with the members or if there's more into that. 

 

Taeyong, on the other hand, often seems unable to keep his hands to himself, with Jaehyun especially -he always tries to caress him, link arms ecc- and seems really shy about it afterwards (let us just hope this is not some friendzone thing lmao) 

About what he said in NCT life "it is weird for two men to sleep under the same blanket" I'm pretty sure he was provoking, he must've slept with the others in the same bed before, plus he lives in the same house with Ten I refuse to believe he's actually shocked about it.

Someone I knew sent a letter of resignation in the hospital he's working on since people in his department kept pressuring him to "come out" and kept saying to "just admit it already"  as he was suspected of being gay. Like the guy is just ordinary. Buff, tall and handsome. At first it was just them asking him of why he doesnt have any girlfriend since he looked good. Then it lead to jokes and innuendos about him being gay, till it got to the point that everyone in his department saying those kind of stuff.  I dont have any clue if the thing got hostile or something.  He said that he couldnt work anymore in their department since he felt that most people there is not giving the respect that he deserves. He opened up about it with his co-workers but no avail they still do it.  In the end he resigned.

And a couple of other moments, and I didn't even finish watching all the episodes. 

 

 

Regarding the guy's gaydar other people were talking about: I stopped trusting his gaydar when he couldn't see why people thought that Baekhyun was bi.

Ah yes, because anybody who might have the audacity to posit that bisexual people actually exist, moreover, that idols who you don't actually know and are assuming are gay for reasons that could all theoretically be red herrings might be bisexual instead of homosexual, is just being delusional.

 

I definitely don't think that most of those guys are bisexual, and I think sometimes "bisexual" is misused in this thread as a placeholder for "idk/not sure, but they're weird" which is lame, but can we not act like thinking somebody might not be strictly homosexual is delusion? That's erasure, and I feel like this thread would be long dead, or at least not as long and storied, if there were no dissenting opinions or discussion. If somebody says an idol that you think is gay is straight or bisexual maybe consider trying to explain why you happen to think the opposite. That'd be a better contribution to the thread, for sure.

I always had the feeling that baekhyun is bi and I think that Tao could be bi too maybe because I remember that Tao´s father once mentioned in a long interview how during his trainee days Tao would always tell him about a certaing girls he liked. The thing is that he mentioned it himself without getting asked so there could be a possibility.

 

Could be a point, but unfortunately is not really indicative. I know quite a lot of lesbians and living in a quite conservative country, the first rule for not making people think you're gay is just to exaggerate/talk a lot about previous heterosexual crushes. 

Or simply change the gender in your stories, I did that as well and I keep doing that. 

At a certain point people start to question you, and since not everyone likes rumors, that's the easiest way to stop them since none thinks about bisexuality.

Honestly I saw Tao and his father bringing that up way too much for an idol's good to be 100% genuine. 

 

Same with Heechul, I lost count of the times he mentioned his multiple dates with women or how he was an heartbreaker or how much he wants a girlfriend and bla bla bla bla.

Yeah I think he used to date guys, too. I think Taohun was a thing. Plus Sehun has some rumors dating guys pre-debut. Though imo one can be in a homosexual relationship while at the same time confused/denial about it. I've known so many gay and lesbian couples like that. The resemblance of their relationship is although they truely love their partners, one or both of them feel confused, sinful, pessimistic, etc..., which makes their relationship unstable, unconfident and controversial so it easily leads to break up and then the confused ones get a new hetero relationship. That's the big part of what I have witnessed so far. Though I don't see that characteristics in Sehun. He seems to be an easy-going person who doesn't really care about anything else if he finds his true gay love. Though at some points of his life, he may rethinks if he's going the right way but still continues his homo way and doesn't give a shiet afterall. That's how I perceive him!

I think if Sehun only just came to terms with his sexuality, then you'd have to put aside him and Tao... IMO, I think Tao helped him get in touch with his sexuality more than anyone prior. 

 

Sehun does seem more confident lately though. So maybe he is more "out" to his friends and social group these days and testing the waters. If SungJong is out to his bandmates (rumor), then why not Sehun?

 

As much as I love(d) TaoHun together, maybe Sehun's new confidence is from his dating a new guy? I don't know. Sehun has that new love glow, maybe?

Besides Mark, I think most of them are too young to make any accurate assumptions. But if I had to try to guess, Mark, Haechan, and Jaemin seem straight to me based on what I've seen of them from variety shows.

 

I'm unsure about Renjun and Jeno since I haven't seen enough of them to have an opinion. I think both Chenle and Jisung are too young to even guess as this point.

Jeonghan - my bias, and a total enigma. I really have no clue. 

Jun - an interesting one. I'm saying not straight for the moment.

Wonwoo - he's either completely straight, or very, very deeply in the closet. Either one could be likely. 

Vernon - I actually thought he was the straightest member out of them all. He did use a gender neutral "person" when asked about his ideal type, apparently, so that seemed interesting.

Seungkwan - stereotypical diva personality, yes, but I'm on the fence.

DK - he caught my attention recently in a radio interview where he mentioned NCT's Jaehyun (I think it was Jaehyun?), saying he was too scared to talk to him because he was "so handsome".

Minhyuk - my bias, and another enigma.

Wonho - as a bisexual person myself, I strongly dislike stereotypes, but I have to admit - Wonho is textbook flaming bi. Reportedly bearding for a lesbian friend, party lover, "gender doesn't matter" while making sexual innuendos about ramen, apparently doesn't want to get married, and a tattoo...........on his ass. If he's straight, then he's the most bisexual straight man I've ever laid eyes on.

Hyungwon - he's weird. I could see him as gay, but also as straight, but also as ace.

Jackson - straight guy who is very comfortable with himself, or bi and really wants everyone to know it? He's confusing, and I go back and forth with him all the time.

Jinyoung - he's had some interesting interactions with Mark, if I'm being honest.

Sehun - his closet is a glass one at this point.

Kai - he seems one of the straightest to me, but a lot of others seem to think he's bi...............?

Chen - no clue, but he stood out for some reason.

Kyungsoo - another weird one. No idea with him.

Suga - not straight. He's said it himself more than once.

Rap Monster - lots of people seem to think he's straight, which kind of surprised me - his open support of LGBT+ and cover of a song by an openly gay artist (with said song having an unambiguously gay music video) immediately caught my attention. He's either not straight and knows it (maybe subconsciously), or knows someone close to him and wants to be as supportive as possible.

Jimin - at first I thought definitely straight. Then I saw his painfully obvious crush on Tony, and now...........bi-curious at least.

J-Hope - flaming something, whatever that something is.

Jin - at first, definitely gay. Now, no idea.

 

OTHERS

Kyungil and Yijeong (from History) - these two are the only ship I could see, without scepticism, as being real. These two are either in a relationship and hiding in plain sight, or have a mutual, acknowledged (but not seriously acted upon) attraction. (History have never exactly "trended", as that blind item rumour described, but they do have five members, and if that rumour is real...........I could 100% believe it to be them).

Taeyong, Jaehyun, and Ten (from NCT) - NCT seems to be one big rainbow at the moment. Ten everyone seems to have agreed on, and I've heard stuff about Taeyong and Jaehyun possibly having something for each other. 

Jonghyun (SHINee) - not straight, and one of the only ones I'm fairly sure of. 

Kangmin (from Romeo) - I don't follow Romeo, but this kid seems to be pretty openly gay, for an idol.

 

 

Apart from whatever Jaeyong has for each other, Taeyong isn't suspicious only with Jaehyun, if you look closely he makes you wonder with more than one member.
