I'm not one to shame anyone for shipping a kpop pairing. I have a taekook badge and I enjoy fic with the two and will admit I've seen a few moments that make me raise an eyebrow but this thread isn't about shipping. The discussion here is primarily focused on what male idols we think are gay/bi/pan. Occasionally with more established idols who like to wave their rainbow flag in their glass closet that will lead to discussions of possible boyfriends but that's only a handful of idols. I really don't understand. Why is it that when someone throws a picture or something about Taekook, people are trying to connect the shipping thing? This is just for fun. People literally put here official photoshoots (!!!) and no one say anything. But every time someone put Taekook here, people suddenly remembers that this is not a shipping thread. It's two bandmates standing by each other or with their arms around each other, which is especially nothing in kpop because it's so common. Unless you ship Taekook those photos wouldn't stand out as anything unusual. And generally the only time I've seen photos from photoshoots be posted here and not get the same reaction is either 1) The idol is wearing something that can be taken as a LGBT pride symbol or 2) The concept of said photoshoot falls under the LGBT spectrum. I say all of this as someone who ships Taekook. I am sure that there are a lot of irrelevant things in this thread that I can find just because the members are standing side by side or they are hugging or just looking at each other. But why are people getting tense when Taekook is posted? I have witnessed it this many times. Maybe the first picture did not mean much, but why did the second picture have so much (-)? You started with a photo that had the two just standing next to each other and made a huge, strange leap with the comment you attached to it. Had you simply posted the second photo and commented on how comfortable Tae was it would have probably been better received. I still don't personally think it would have been relevant to this thread (unless it was arguably used as evidence to show how comfortable Tae is being physically affectionate with other men along with other examples), Shipping in general is always going to get negged the most. It wasn't until like a year or so ago when it started to get painful obvious that you could even mention the possibility that something may be going on between Jonghyun and Key from Shinee without getting negged for example. And that was because it began to be approached less as shipping and more as "well that's suspicious as fuck." Hell, I primarily post about Jonghyun and Key but there is a lot of stuff I find suspicious that I don't post here simply because it's more shipping then fact. If you would like to continue this conversation I would suggest we go to private messages so we're not spamming the thread. I agree wiht you. I don't want to argue anymore. As you say, we can continue in private. I've been following here a long time. It's just something that has really begun to come to irrites me. I think there's much more of an aggressive reaction to ship-y posts relating to them. HOWEVER let's not forget that reactions are just that: they're responses to other actions. In other words, I think if both sides settled down (shipping and negging respectively), this issue wouldn't be so big. 2. I do agree with some others that you probably got negged initially much moreso because of the "submissive" comment. I don't know you, and I don't know your story, but just letting you know: I personally found it a bit offensive on first glance and it would not surprise me if others did as well. EDIT: To explain, gay men have been plagued by stereotypes and marginalization based on that sort of description for YEARS so I negged that post for that reason. I didn't know it would end up being that downvoted or cause you that much distress though. 3. May I suggest a compromise? In the event that anyone is unsure whether or not something will come across as ship-y, perhaps acknowledge as much outright then put the rest of the post under spoiler tags, and perhaps everyone else can do their best to refrain from negging such posts unless something seriously troubling/offensive is said? If I caused you offended, I apologize. i don't mean to. It's just something about Jungkook's character. I think JK more submissive especially when he's around Tae. BTS literally raised him, they are his second family and first friends. He adjusts to himself their behavior and habits a lot from sounds to gestures. I don't see anything in his eyes when he's looking at members, except for pure adoration, respect and pride for them. But when ıt's comes to Tae, It's obvious there's suspicious situations. Especially by looking at Jungkook's behavior. He has a character like this, if someone hit him, he hit them harder. If someone pushes him, he pushes them harder. If someone is really annoying him, he is not afraid to push them aside. But something is diffirent with Tae. He's patient with him than anyone else. He allows him to do whatever he wants. Even if Tae annoys him, it does not push him hard like any other. If he does not get what he wants from Tae, he follows him like a puppy. If Tae wants something, even if he is want something else, he suddenly change his mind and starts want what Tae wants. If they sit next to each other or stand side by side, JK tend to lean towards him. His position will always be behind him, always going to be one shoulder behind. The only person he embarrassed while speaking in his group was Tae. If Tae tells him something sincere, he hardly ever responds. He loses his words. Even though he has a very strong character, it seems to be controlled by Tae whenever he is next to him. He immediately adjusts himself to Tae and focuses on his reactions. Tae is the one who he has spent most his private time, plans to go on holiday together, and wants to live together in the future. I really liked it when I saw that picture. Because he had given the that pose again. He leaned toward Tae, almost seemed to want to rest his head on his shoulder. I know he is tired. But he leaned towards to Tae again, not to Namjoon, who standing other side him. I find it cute and shared. Some users here share really simple things and do not get any reaction like this. But when I share Taekook I get the same reaction " every " time. Even if I put this on spoiler button, it's the same. You can see my second post gets negged to. I really would like to thank the users who supported me here. Because there's no need to play three monkeys. There is clearly a double standard in here. He was only fourteen years old when he came to live with that group. Basically we can say that he raised his group mates. He says more than once he was not really have friends. There is a chat group of idols with his own age, but it does not show that he is a close friend of them. Look at Tae ... When he is friends with someone, he meets them, he takes time for them, and he goes out with them. We hardly ever saw him do it. Some says he's scared of the girls. I think it's not true. Because obviously he is jumping back to not hit the girls. He was a very timid and shy. Kookie was so embarrassed when she send kiss to him that he ran away. LOL Back then he was just 16 years old! He was about to die of embarrassment here lol! He is still shy in front of people he doesn't know much no matter is it man or woman, that is just his personality. That is not so visible now cause he learned how to act around people, how to make fan service, how to hide his feelings... if he join a program with members, it behaves like a child and looks quite comfortable. But if he is alone, he is very shy and silent. That's why I think Jungkook is demisexual. So he can not get close to everyone. This takes time and effort for him. He needs to get close to start an relationship. He must knows the other person well and approaches him/her from every direction. It does not matter male or female, I think it's the only thing he needs a strong connection. Do people really think that admiring a gay or bisexual artist and appreciating their work will make that person one of them? Because I see things like this here all the time. I also love and follow lots of gay, bisexual, and trans artists, I respect and support them but I am straight. If a gay/bi people likes many heterosexual artists, it will not make them straight. If someone likes many gay/bi artist do not make him/her gay. It's only related to the artistic point of view. If they love that person's voice, work, writing etc. why not follow them? For example, J-Hope, many times, including himself and members, said he was a different person than he looked in front of the cameras. But we still judge him by taking into consideration his appearance and behavior in front of the cameras, right?
