Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

In Vixx, Ravi has the most fanboys.

WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE ???

Is Ravi acting suspiciously cute while staring at this fanboy ? Is it just my Imagination ??? Whats with him ? He looks like he wants more attention and more reaction from the male fan ? even AFTER the fan passed him and moved to the next member, Ravi is still staring at him.... almost mesmerized ! Is there something you want to tell us, Ravi ? laugh.png

BONUS: FOR FUN

As a Bonus..... this is Vixx with another fanboy situation. Summary of what is going on: Hyuk notices a few boys who agressively takes many pics. "Its like a gunfire... tak..tak..tak..." Then N asks: "Who are you ?" One of them answers "Fans of Ravi Hyung." Then Ravi proudly doing poses for them. "wow they have really big camera equipment"... N asks: "Wait a minute ! Are all you 5 guys only taking pics of Ravi?" they shout: "yes." laugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.png Obsessed Ravi fanboys !

This is adorable Ravi looks like an excited puppy trynna keep his cool

It was funny how every idol with gay rumors went on WGM. Jo Kwon was also on it. At least Heechul brought his bf along lol

Puff Guo was extremely cool on that show from what I've seen and very sweet to Heechul, I'm not sure many actresses would have been cool with that situation. On a side note, SuJu members have also been very supportive of Gunhee, even members I thought might have a problem with it like Shindong.

I love what Heechul did in the press conference, look how terrified poor Key is...

Speaking of WGM, I never thought Leeteuk might be gay until he did the show. That's one time the show achieved the opposite effect of what they were aiming at, at least for me.

LOL i forgot about jo kwon; that's how I even knew about him in the first place. Yeah, Puff likely figured out pretty quickly and knew what was going on. She's from Taiwan, where it's way more accepting and most celebrities of her generation is totally cool about it. Some of them also actively advocated for same-gender marriage equality and released songs and held concerts to support the cause. I'm not sure whether the other WGM "wives" were suspecting anything besides Puff but FYI Hong Ki had nail polish on during his segments.

But I think it's hilarious that SJ's Sungmin married a girl. He has always loved Simon's body. And he popped a boner while grinding his ass into Simon's crotch on stage during the song She Wants It. It was a Super Show in Malaysia but I think it is either March of 2013 or 2014.

WHAT. why don't i know this.

there are too many suju videos to look through and i can't find this. x_x

For real tho, most of our certified gay idolsâ„¢ went on that show or at least said they wanted to be there, you can't convince me that this just a coincidence lmao

Yup same here; it's almost like halfway through they decided WGM would be the best vehicle to make sure the closet door stays firmly closed and used as a shield for any rumours that come up. I swear, the only guy on WGM Global I'm kinda sure is straight is Taecyeon.

honestly I can see where both of you are coming from because I also believe he's either bi/gay and also I think he's very comfortable with kihyun and a lot of ppl forget that and I forgot where this was but they shownu was feeling all over kihyuns body like it was nobody's business and there was this time where he was licking his lips at him and tried to raise his shirt I'm not saying kihyun is into him but I do think shownu was/still attached to him in whatever it may be

You know what? I think you may be right about Shownu. I see a lot of similarities between VIXX's Leo and Shownu. I have long held my belief that Leo was a little autistic or is on the spectrum somewhere, Shownu might be too. I think its tough to be in a field with so many people around you, I respect them so much more. About him being into Minhyuk, do you all remember that rumor that said two members from Monsta X dated pre-rush era. They had to end it because of the company. Apparently the rumor said they were people you wouldn't have immediately have suspected. I wonder if this has any truth to Shownu/Minhyuk.

I used to have a ton of stills from that performance but two broken computers later I haven't seen them in years.

I will try and see if I can find it.

I agree with much of your post, and welcome to the thread, but I'm still gonna need you to spill the tea you have on the actors + Eric Nam when you have the time. 0u0plz.png  I'm not doubting you, I just need to know more. ahmagahplz.png

People definitely underestimate how well most idols can manage their identities, though, especially the really famous ones. I was a little surprised when I first saw idols perform in person and saw how seamlessly they can switch from stage/business mode to "human" mode and then back again, if that makes sense. On stage they wave at fans and the like, but unless something really catches their attention you can tell it's all carefully planned and rehearsed and they're not really looking "at" people. For example, I made Seventeen's Mingyu laugh once after I caught his eye, but he was back to his careful idol persona about 3 seconds later (he was on stage, so he had to anyway). They're all a lot craftier than we think...but that just makes analyzing them more fun, as long as people don't get too delusional. And gay stuff is generally always welcome here~

But seriously, I need the tea on Joo Hyuk

About Eric Nam, honestly I think we got bearded was more so for Solar. SHE PINGS HARD.

 Thanks for the welcome :)

Yep, I agree with you about the whole manufactured image and identity of Kpop idols. Especially when compared to other Asian celebrities, Kpop idols are the best at marketing and selling themselves as a certain persona. Haha, I don't really have any extra tea besides the news and evidence already presented in the forum because half of my speculations come from my own intuition and observations. Hence, my reasons are going to rather subjective so take them with a grain of salt xD

From my perspective about Joo Hyuk and Ji Soo, I found their Celebrity Bromance variety the most suspect and I think someone else mentioned their episodes here too. There were several instances where it seemed like the relationship went beyond friendship; 1) when Joo Hyuk would put his arm across Ji Soo during any sudden braking when he drove, 2) Ji Soo put his hand on Joo Hyuk's stomach and asked if he was hungry still. Again, I could be totally off and these considerate actions are just part of Korean culture but I feel that guy friends wouldn't be that attentive and concerned. Joo Hyuk was also kinda shy and not that keen to play up the bromance aspect of the show but that could just mean he's a reserved person who wants to keep it real.

Another thing is that in North America where more people are out, I noticed experienced/veteran actors and actresses can have awesome chemistry with costars despite their real-life orientation but some newbies still need work and practice to make those onscreen romances believable. I saw a similar pattern in Kdramas too because Joo Hyuk, Park Bo Gum both have room for development and despite all the hype around NJK/LSR and PBG/KYJ pairings, I failed to see any mind-blowing chemistry there. Ji Soo fares better in the acing department though.

I'm actually on the fence about Eric Nam, because there's nothing super obvious or tangible to back up my speculation but his WGM and After School varieties do give me the impression that he's not totally straight. There's a few occasional moments but I can't specifically recall them RN. I'll post again when I have time to go back and find them.

The funny part of this thread is that even though you may be right on some idols, when it comes to your bias you end up having a hard time to accept at least the possibility.

Honey most of us in this thread are not het.

And I know you probably didn't mean it, but the whole "it would be tragic if oppa was gay, because then I couldn't date him" thing is really....not cute. First, because saying "it's hard to accept someone could be gay" to a bunch of gay/bi people is rude. Second, it's why celebrities are forced to stay in the closet, for the sake of straight fans' fantasies. Maybe just try to avoid that kind of language in the future?

Aaah I almost forgot to say welcome too! I'm kinda new here as well lmao. Although I don't know most of the names you mentioned, my gaydar pings a lot on Eric Nam too, but I can't tell exactly why either, it's more intuition.

He grew up in America, so his first language is English and I believe he's the most natural and relaxed when doing English interviews or just speaking English. That's when I noticed that his interactions with other girls are comparable to my own LGBT friends' interactions. I'm not talking about feminine mannerisms or traits but more like how when a straight girl or guy meets someone new of their own gender, they won't be checking that person out or giving more attention as opposed to when seeing someone's who the opposite gender. So the way he chats with other girls just feel a tad too easygoing and comfortable, when taking into account they're not his friends or acquaintances.

Sorry guys this is probably the longest and dumbest post ever... 0u0plz.png

Thank you so much for posting these. I just love the old variety shows. And it seems to me that we don't hear much from the groups of that time!!

As for who might be gay, I am a Bisexual Female and I have always had a very accurate sense for gaydar.

SJ has Ryeowook, Heechul and Siwon, I have never thought that any of them were Heterosexual.

But I think it's hilarious that SJ's Sungmin married a girl. He has always loved Simon's body. And he popped a boner while grinding his ass into Simon's crotch on stage during the song She Wants It. It was a Super Show in Malaysia but I think it is either March of 2013 or 2014.

Shinee's Key and Jonghyun have always been one of my favorite pairs because they seem to fit each other very well. Especially Jonghyun to Key.

On an episode of After School Club Jackson told Mark he wanted to change their couple name to Jark for a while because he wants to top in their fan fiction. And while Jackson never gets tired of talking, they have always had an especially strong bond. The way he practically tackles every guy he sees, is just a bonus. He does occasionally seem to be interested in girls, but I still think he might be everyone's gay best friend rather than Bi.

Baekho and Ren have always seemed more comfortable with guys than they do with girls. And while that doesn't make them gay, I will never unsee Ren sleeping peacefully in Baekho's arms. Yep. I know, they were only 16 at the time. But they have always hit my radar hard. Especially since Baekho reminds me very strongly of Sungmin when he sees abs.

Baekho was adorably oblivious in PD101 season 2 whenever Daehwi couldn't help staring at him. I felt sad for Daebaby, I think he was just too innocent for my baby tiger.

Baekho is very mischievous and is probably the most experienced of the group. 0u0plz.png

Omg I forgot that there was Joonew up there! Whenever I write a Shinee fic Onew is always paired up with Lee Joon. Because of all the lovely gay moments up there in the thread.

I only know the SM artists you discussed so I was wondering why Siwon pops up once in a while here, because I don't see anything that stands out to me about him besides his past homophobic comments. I used to find him the cutest out of SJ and had a slight crush on him and admired his hard work and personality until he revealed his homophobia and that completely turned me off. Like WTF, I don't care if you mean those sentiments or you're just trying to keep up with a facade so people will see you as a Christian or whatever, I honestly regret ever being a fan of his. The funny thing is I watched his segments with Liu Wen on WGM before I knew that situation (believe or not I'm not always up to date about stuff like this =.=) and I started having a girl crush on Liu Wen, nonetheless they did have some sparks flying and they were one of the more realistic couples on the show.

On the same page with you regarding Key + Jonghyun. And I like to be clear that I don't call myself a shipper because I seriously only pay attention and support those who do have an extremely high probability of being in a real, exclusive relationship. It's similar to how I would cheer for Ellen Degeneres and her wife Portia, or Neil Patrick Harris and his hubby David. However, since those couples are out in a much more tolerant society, it's totally acceptable to be comment online and say, "Omg, they're so cute together" or "I hope both of you will have a future filled with love and happiness." People find it absolutely normal to congratulate them or even talk about them among friends. The major difference is that in Asia, basically only a handful of celebs are out, and the rest of them are still either in a opaque closet or a glass closet. Either way, no outsider knows for certain whether they are actually dating/married, and then there's also "shipping" to complicate things. IMO, it's one thing to intentionally search for proof and use ordinary moments of interaction to distort a friendship, whether it be a fan ship or an "official" ship (one encouraged by their agency). It's entirely another thing to notice some odd moments where you can't help but wonder and after years of observation/speculation/rationalization, come up with a feasible conclusion to explain it all. That's my two cents.

Pretty interesting, taking into account the lyrics of the song.

"All of this is not a coincidence
The two of us found fate
DNA"
or
"My DNA wants you from the beginning
This is destiny I love us
We are the only true lovers"
Maybe fanservice, but still interesting.

FINALLY...... SNOWDJINN'S  COMPLETE  LIST OF Gay/Bi  IDOLS

i have posted about single kpop GROUPS in this thread before, but i never made a complete list of who i think is gay/bi in Kpop. Some of you might be surprised how small the number of gay/bi idols is on my completel list .... but i am not easy to persuade, i know there is fanservice, so i only put idols on this list when i have a strong feeling about it and at least one awkward situation where i feel that it doesnt make any sense if the idol would be straight.

this list is of all the kpop-groups that i followed.

Its a total of 246 idols in 40 groups.

40 groups are DBSK, SS501, Paran, Superjunior, Big Bang, FT Island, Shinee, 2AM, 2PM, U-kiss, Beast/Highlight, MBlaq, Fcuz, Infinite, Teen Top, ZEA, B1A4, Block B, MyName, 100%, 24K, BAP, Big Star, BTOB, MRMR, Vixx, Boys Republic, BTS, Speed, BIG, Got7, Hotshot, Madtown, UNiQ, Winner, Ikon, Monsta X, Snuper, Up10tion, Boyfriend.

BUT FIRST...... 10 Idols that i think are straight (but that are rumored to be gay/bi)

Jaejoong (DBSK) = i think he is doing massive in-your-face fanservice, but he is actually straight.

G-Dragon (Big Bang) = Very clever fanservice ! G-Dragon is smart, but i think he is also straight.

HongKi (FT Island) = in my opinion, he is straight. There are no receipts.

Kevin (U-Kiss) = He is adorable and feminine AF !!! Sadly, that doesnt mean he is gay or bi.

Sungjong (Infinite) = adorable and feminine AF !! Sadly, that doesnt mean he is gay or bi.

Jackson (Got7) = Jackson is a huuuge fanservice idol. He would do anything for fans, including playing gay.

Wonho (Monsta X) = he has those tatoos... but i have never noticed gay feelings from him.

Minhyuk (Monsta X) = he is very touchy with men, feminine, soft, sensitive but imo straight.

Kwanghee (ZEA) = i am a huge ZEA fan, but unfortunately all of them were probably straight.

Rockhyun (100%) =   Again, a feminine image and cross-dressing but there are no receipts.

i know the list will also get me some hate, but i just want to be 100% honest and say my opinion openly !! unsure.png

-------------------------------------------------------

So here we go with the MAIN LIST !!!!!!

HERE IS IT : my complete list of  15 GAY and 8 BI idols  ahmagahplz.png

DBSK Yunho (gay)

Heechul of Superjunior (gay)

Sungmin of Superjunior (Bi)

Shinee Key (gay)

Shinee Jonghyun (gay)

2AM JoKwon (gay)

Soohyun of Ukiss (gay)

ex-Beast Hyunseung (gay)

ex-MBlaq Lee Joon (Bi)

Infinite Woohyun (gay)

Infinite L (gay)

ex-TeenTop Ljoe (gay)

Sandeul of B1A4 (gay)

Baro of B1A4 (Bi)

Youngjae of BAP (gay)

Minhyuk of BTOB (Bi)

Vixx N (Bi)

Vixx: Ravi (Bi)

BTS JImin (gay)

Boyfriend Jeongmin (gay)

Ikon Hanbin (BI)

Ikon Bobby (gay)

GOT7 Mark (BI)

For all the 23 idols i listed here, i have pretty good receipts and moments in which i think that a straight person would have acted differently. Thats why i am confident in my list. I posted many of these receipts in the last 2 years in this thread.

...  i am sure there are still many more non-straight idols but these are the ones that i think have raised suspicion and are likely to be gay/bi in my opinion.....

I regret nothing because the truth must be said.

I completely understand and agree with a lot of what you have said here. But please note that I am only here because I think being here on the various threads of this whole site is fun and interesting.

Just because I happen to like watching the boys and the girls of Kpop testing the boundaries of their friendships doesn't mean that I don't respect and care for them and how they see themselves.

I support all the kids in kpop, they have all been through so much to get where they are, in any stage of their careers. And all that hard work that means they sometimes lose a little of themselves in the process. People change and it is perfectly normal for their relationships to change too and that includes on and off stage.

For example, when SJ first appeared on the scene everyone that I knew freaked out when when they saw Sungmin in that skit they did where he fell in love with Kyu. We saw "evidence" that it was "real" in every interaction that they had for years after that. But that ship has largely died out because they no longer interact the way they used to.

Does that mean that they were ever lovers? No. It does not. But could it have been real? We won't ever know for sure because as you said, Korea is a bad place to be openly gay.

It is nice and in my opinion, necessary to have discussions like this once in a while on boards like this. Differing opinions and views on the same "evidence" that such and such stars are always going to happen. And voicing those opinions helps to keep people like me from going too far off the deep end.

But I am not going to apologize for speculating that some of my favorite kids could be gay and could be interested in being friends with benefits or could actually be in an emotional relationship based on the way they act and the things they have said and done.

I love just about every kpop group that I have discovered in my 7 years of being into Kpop. I feel protective and happy for them when they succeed and if they don't I worry about and support them hoping that they can do better the next time.

But I didn't have to go "dig up" the pictures that I had of that day between Siwon and Sungmin. I was already a fan of Super Junior when that concert happened. That gif and the stills of that moment were everywhere at the time, and Sungmin was clearly hard. And I have seen a lot of stills of Siwon being hard after making out with the other members of the group. And gay means that they are aroused and or interested in members of the same sex.

So, why I think Siwon is gay? It is my opinion that he is, because I have never seen him show any genuine rapore with any woman ever. I love Siwon dearly, but he isn't a good actor.

I agree that Siwon's homophobic rants are horrible and sad. Especially because I think he is trying to convince himself and his ridiculously wealthy family that he isn't gay.

As for Jackson/Mark and JongKey, having a "special bond" as I called it, apparently I should have been more clear on what the word bond means to me in this context: like it or not, they are very close to each other. They genuinely enjoy being together as friends. Both pairs often finish each other's sentences and they show absolutely no hesitation in friendly physical contact. That implies a strong bond as friends. And I believe that in both pairs, that close bond extends to their sexuality.

I will always support and care for all of the people I spoke of in my post. I don't care if they are actually straight, gay or in between.

I am in my forties and I have been through and seen a lot of fun and sad things in my life. And one of the things I feel most strongly about is my hope that someday it will be safe for everyone everywhere to be confident and secure in their sexuality and gender identity. Whether those people want to say it publicly or keep it safe in their hearts, everyone deserves to be who they are.
