rilakumma 21 Posted September 22, 2017 Share Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone, (** warning: this is long so feel free to skip or skim LOL) So I've been following this thread for a while now and it's the only forum with mostly mature and logical discussions about this rather sensitive subject matter (in Korean ent industry at least) , and I can actually read without constantly shaking my head in exasperation. I'm Asian, but I fortunately live in a very tolerant and open-minded country where same-sex marriage, LGBT rights etc. are all legal. Also as a straight individual, I can't speak from personal experience, but I have friends who are bi, gay, or lesbian and I learn how life is like for them. My personal gaydar used to be terrible, and I was even heartbroken after having a crush for a gay friend who will only ever see me as a friend. However, that being said, after more interactions with LGBT family + friends, it's possible to get better at recognizing someone as LGBT. ANYWAYS, tbh, I'm not strictly a Kpop fan as I only listen to music from several solo artists and groups (TVXQ+ JYJ; I'm a proud OT5 cassie) and OSTs that I enjoy from Kdramas. Nonetheless, I know the more popular groups and their members from variety shows and dramas and also from some friends who are dedicated fans. Another note is that I don't think any feminine qualities or characteristics or even liking male/female celebrities count as evidence for being LGBT. The strongest and most reliable proof is whether they show or express sexual/romantic attraction to people of a certain gender. That's the whole meaning behind being LGBT, and anything else really just happens to be personal preference or a personality trait imo. For example, a male idol may convey his preference for a male Hollywood actor because of his talent or personality. That doesn't MEAN anything, and I notice that if a female idol says that she likes Emma Watson for instance, less people would even jump on that and start speculating her sexual orientation. It should go both ways, and I wouldn't take it as "evidence" unless that idol describes that certain Hollywood male actor as "hot, attractive, handsome, sexy, good-looking etc." For instance, way back when TVXQ was still five members, and all of them were asked to describe each other, Yunho stated how he found JaeJoong "sexy." Naturally, the rest of the group didn't vocally agree with that sentiment and it would be definitely hard to find any straight guy using the word "sexy" with respect to JaeJoong. I won't specify if certain idols are gay/bi etc. but simply as LGBT because I'm not sure about some of them regarding their exact orientation and it's already difficult enough just to speculate when they are well-trained public figures living constantly in the spotlight. Here's my list in no particular order: -Heechul (Super Junior) -Jaejoong (JYJ) -Key (SHINee) -Jonghyun (SHINee) -Jo Kwon (2AM) -Yunho (TVXQ) -Lee Hong Ki (FT Island) -Eric Nam (solo artist) -Sehun (EXO) -Park Bo Gum (actor) -Ji Soo (actor) -Nam Joo Hyuk (actor) There are numerous explanations for each celeb in that list that I can't explain everything in one post and yes, they are all guys just because I honestly haven't found anything with the female singers that I know well. Some of other comments here I agree with as solid reasons for legit speculation, and I also noticed 4 names (Heechul, Key, Hong Ki, Eric Nam) on my list appeared on WGM/WGM Global Version. That variety show also played a notable part in triggering my gaydar coincidentally. Although those appearances could have been intentional in order to portray a "heterosexual" image and use their "wife" as a beard, I personally find it futile and even a possible misfire. It's more obvious than ever when they spend significant time with a girl who's possible girlfriend material and yet they come across like besties without any romantic inclinations or tension whatsoever. I personally believe that Shownu is autistic and I base this on his body language reads to me. (I'm autistic and have spent a lot of time with other autistic adults.) It's not that he doesn't like attention from some of the other members, but he's not always sure what to do with it. He seems to have a very deep affection for Minhyuk and Jooheon in particular. I wouldn't be surprised if he were gay or bi or pan or ace. (You can be gay and ace.) I could write more about how why I believe all of this. I would ask people to be careful interpreting his body language because it's different from most other people's. honestly I can see where both of you are coming from because I also believe he's either bi/gay and also I think he's very comfortable with kihyun and a lot of ppl forget that and I forgot where this was but they shownu was feeling all over kihyuns body like it was nobody's business and there was this time where he was licking his lips at him and tried to raise his shirt I'm not saying kihyun is into him but I do think shownu was/still attached to him in whatever it may be 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's a brand new interpretation of Shownu's body language, and I think very few monbebes had considered this for the same reason I didn't. Since I really don't know anything about autism, I would really love if you could talk more about it and your interpretation on Shownu, because I adore him. I've always being puzzled by him, I mean the way he act is almost unpredictable by how down to earth he is. I think that, like, 90% of monbebes out there never thought of this possibility, so it would be really nice if you talked more about it, I'm pretty curious tbh! and I also want to say you are a very nice and understanding person because most ppl would have called others rely delusional if they didn't agree with them and I think you are a perfect example of how ppl should act in this thread mature and very good at listening to others opinions 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

At least Heechul brought his bf along lol Puff Guo was extremely cool on that show from what I've seen and very sweet to Heechul, I'm not sure many actresses would have been cool with that situation. On a side note, SuJu members have also been very supportive of Gunhee, even members I thought might have a problem with it like Shindong. I love what Heechul did in the press conference, look how terrified poor Key is... Speaking of WGM, I never thought Leeteuk might be gay until he did the show. I'm not doubting you, I just need to know more. People definitely underestimate how well most idols can manage their identities, though, especially the really famous ones. I was a little surprised when I first saw idols perform in person and saw how seamlessly they can switch from stage/business mode to "human" mode and then back again, if that makes sense. On stage they wave at fans and the like, but unless something really catches their attention you can tell it's all carefully planned and rehearsed and they're not really looking "at" people. For example, I made Seventeen's Mingyu laugh once after I caught his eye, but he was back to his careful idol persona about 3 seconds later (he was on stage, so he had to anyway). They're all a lot craftier than we think...but that just makes analyzing them more fun, as long as people don't get too delusional. Isnt he one of the few suju members that is believed to be straight? Most of Suju members are considered straight, unless I'm missing someone in my head count. I don't have any gay rumors or receipts to share about Leeteuk, it's just a personal feeling. He is always so calculated and guarded in public that I don't think many people actually know what he is really like. His appearance on WGM was so cringeworthy I couldn't watch it back then. Everybody always talk about Heechul kissing the members, but in recent years it's been Leeteuk always turning physical contact with Heechul to something more. Could be his competitive side to beat Heechul at his own game or playing for the fangirls with a willing band member, but sometimes I feel like maybe it is Leeteuk letting go for a second. And it seems to me that we don't hear much from the groups of that time!! As for who might be gay, I am a Bisexual Female and I have always had a very accurate sense for gaydar. SJ has Ryeowook, Heechul and Siwon, I have never thought that any of them were Heterosexual. But I think it's hilarious that SJ's Sungmin married a girl. He has always loved Simon's body. And he popped a boner while grinding his ass into Simon's crotch on stage during the song She Wants It. It was a Super Show in Malaysia but I think it is either March of 2013 or 2014. Shinee's Key and Jonghyun have always been one of my favorite pairs because they seem to fit each other very well. Especially Jonghyun to Key. On an episode of After School Club Jackson told Mark he wanted to change their couple name to Jark for a while because he wants to top in their fan fiction. And while Jackson never gets tired of talking, they have always had an especially strong bond. The way he practically tackles every guy he sees, is just a bonus. He does occasionally seem to be interested in girls, but I still think he might be everyone's gay best friend rather than Bi. Baekho and Ren have always seemed more comfortable with guys than they do with girls. And while that doesn't make them gay, I will never unsee Ren sleeping peacefully in Baekho's arms. Yep. I know, they were only 16 at the time. But they have always hit my radar hard. Especially since Baekho reminds me very strongly of Sungmin when he sees abs. Baekho was adorably oblivious in PD101 season 2 whenever Daehwi couldn't help staring at him. I felt sad for Daebaby, I think he was just too innocent for my baby tiger. Baekho is very mischievous and is probably the most experienced of the group. Omg I forgot that there was Joonew up there! Whenever I write a Shinee fic Onew is always paired up with Lee Joon. Less than five minutes after the first episode of Full House started, we see Siwon cuddling and petting Heechul. It is as unmistakably gay as it is adorable. Full House is one of reasons that I fell in love with Super Junior the way I did. If it hadn't been for Sungmin doing a pole dance with Brian Joo on Star King and SJ's Full House I wouldn't be a kpop fan right now.
