Going back to suho, I don't mean to sound sceptical about him being gay (really i want it to be true just because his fans get super pressed about it, lol), but is there any actual pseudo-evidence that he and donghwan are dating? Obviously we wouldn't need to be speculating if there was any conclusive evidence, but imo he's not as obvious as sehun for example, and I really don't see anything going on between him and donghwan that would make me think they are not just very good friends (?) Like, they could be a thing but also they could very well not, and I don't see anything particularly telling in their interactions and stuff that would make me go ''oh there's definitely something there'' (although to be fair we don't get to see them together almost ever).

And I would definitely go as far to say that there is a lot more proof that Suho and Donghwan are dating rather than Sehun and Chefsuke (although I personally believe that both couples are together). Yep, Sehun and Suho are gay best friends! In fact in the early days of EXO, Sehun, Tao, Suho, and Donghwan all used to be in the same friendship group together with various other actors, and the first EXO member posted on Donghwan's Instagram was actually Sehun! I'm not sure about Tao, but I know that Donghwan and Sehun are definitely still friends, and I'm assuming that Donghwan and Chefsuke have met each other

Taehyun is one of the few idols who I'm 100% sure is nonhet, and I'm like 99.9% sure he's gay. I really cannot see him dating a woman tbh, so lemme bring out the receipts lmao:

  , South Club (the band Taehyun is in) are playing a game called "Two Truths and One Lie", which is a game where you say two true statements and one false statement, and the people you're playing with have to guess which one is the incorrect statement. In this article Taehyun mentions suffering from bipolar disorder and insomnia and afaik he's mentioned his mental health issues multiple times, so we know those 2 statements are true, which then obviously leaves the "I like girls" statement as a lie. Okay it's like 1am here so sorry if I sound seriously delulu with this post but: Even if Taehyun was straight or bisexual or whatever, I can't see this relationship being real 

 

First of all, there's this video, which allegedly shows them going on a date. Because of course Korean celebrities go on secret dates in broad daylight with no facemasks, and of course they don't notice some random journalist following them with those loud camera shutters. Also it seems to me this video is insinuating that they went on this date on the 21st of April, a day before the news broke, and this journalist somehow had time to conveniently edit in a screenshot of the article that confirmed the dating, and then post the video on the same day.

Hey gays, I've come to impart a theory upon you all that EXO's Chanyeol is in a relationship with Japanese-American actor Arata Mackenyu. Some background information: Mackenyu is 22 (Chanyeol is 26), he's a rising actor in Japan, and he also has gay rumours. Gonna put everything under the spoiler because it's kinda long:

 

 

 

It's been long joked about in the EXO fandom that Chanyeol has a secret Japanese girlfriend, which is why he goes to Japan so frequently. But tbh it's looking a lot more likely that he actually has a secret Japanese boyfriend. First let's start off with a timeline of the both of them (dates in dd/mm/yy format): 

• 04/09/18 – Chanyeol in Japan till an unknown date, but left before 14/09/18.
• 07/09/18 – Chanyeol follows Mackenyu on Instagram, Mackenyu follows him back on the same day. 22/09/18 – The first time Mackenyu likes one of Chanyeol’s first Instagram posts.
• 26/09/18 – Chanyeol returns to Korea from Japan. Spent Chuseok in Japan but don’t know exactly when he left Korea (was most likely only there for about 3 days though). Was with Choi Taejoon (actor, friend).
• Couldn’t find any flight details for October and November (preparation for comeback in October then comeback in November. He had group schedules in Japan, so I’m not ruling out that he could have seen Mackenyu there. Also not ruling out that he could have evaded fans at the airport which is why there’s no info).
• 22/12/18 – In Japan till an unknown date (I’m guessing he went back to Korea around the 29th). Not sure about the exact date that he went as there are no fansite pictures but I think it was around this time. Bearing in mind that Christmas Eve in Japan is kind of their version of Valentine’s Day, and couples often go out to celebrate.
• Chanyeol and Kasper (choreographer, Chanyeol’s gym buddy and friend) in Japan from 01/01/19 to 06/01/19 – Kasper and Mackenyu post selfie together on 05/01/19, Chanyeol and Mackenyu post selfie together on 06/01/19.
• Can’t find the exact dates he left and came back but on 15/01/19, Chanyeol was seen in Japan with Mackenyu.
• Chanyeol and Kyungsoo in Japan from 15/02/19 to 21/02/19 – selfie with Mackenyu posted on 20/02/19.
• Chanyeol in Japan from 24/03/19 to 29/03/19. Passersby said they saw him with Mackenyu.
• Chanyeol travels with Kyungsoo to Japan on 14/04/19. CBX have tour dates in Japan on 16/04/19 and 17/04/19. To my knowledge, Chanyeol does not go to either of the concert dates, but Kyungsoo does (I don’t know if Kyungsoo went to just one date or both of them). On 17/04/19 after the concert, CBX and Kyungsoo fly back to Seoul together while Chanyeol stays in Japan. Chanyeol comes back to Korea on 19/04/19. While he was there, he went to see Haruma Miura in the “Kinky Boots†production (Haruma is one of Mackenyu’s close friends).

There's also a tweet that said "OP asked Mackenyu if he likes Chanyeol, he answered "I like him very much~" while smiling so bright OP felt soft and pleasant hearing it from him. " but the account who posted the translation got suspended so I can't embed it. There's also this tweet in Japanese that I can't find a translation for so the rough translation is: "Fan: Please get along really well with Chanyeol! / Mackenyu: But this [our relationship] cannot get any better, our relationship is pretty good!"

 

Moving on to a bit later in February, both Mackenyu and Chanyeol posted these pictures on Instagram: 

 

Mackenyu originally captioned these pictures with "date with angel Chanyeol-hyung" but the caption was later changed due to fans being messy.

 

On the 1st of March, they both wear the same hoodie on the same day. A few days later, Mackenyu posts a video of him listening to EXO's Kokobop in the gym on his Instagram story.

April 2019 - 3rd time him and Kyungsoo go to Japan together just in 2019. CBX’s Japanese concert happened while they were there (as mentioned in the timeline) but only Kyungsoo went, so what was Chanyeol doing in Japan? Chanyeol and Haruma Miura also followed each other on Instagram - Haruma is one of Mackenyu’s friends. Haruma is also an actor in the Japanese Kinky Boots production. Also worth mentioning is that during this trip, Kyungsoo and CBX flew back to Korea while Chanyeol stayed in Japan. Also from this trip:

Also something else I picked up on: I believe that Chanyeol may be introducing some of the EXO members to Mackenyu. Idk it seems pretty likely that they're dating tbh (or are at least sus)

Bobby is definitely an interesting guy. I think we just have to wait and see how he acts in the future, because the sus things he's been saying recently contrast sharply with all of the mildly homophobic things he's said in the past. Maybe he's going through the process of discovering his own sexuality or maybe he's just become more accepting and open-minded lately, who knows. I think maybe he's started to mature and grow as a person, like GOT7's Jaebum.

 

As for the video - I don't want it to seem like I'm defending them or #OppaDidn'tMeanIt - it was uncomfortable and upsetting to watch, but personally I am not...very angry at Hanbin (the guy who did the prank). Was it stupid to do it while being filmed and make it look like you're mocking the struggles of LGBT people? Absolutely. But I have always believed Hanbin is bisexual and that has never wavered - and in fact I think he was using it as an excuse to test the waters of coming out, to see what his mother would say. It's not uncommon, I have a few gay friends who have done it so that if it all went south they could be like "haha just kidding!" Again, it was totally stupid and tasteless for him to do this while being filmed for a show that your fans will watch, but whatever (of course if I learnt that Hanbin was straight I would drop him like a hot potato lmao). To be honest, my main problem with the video was how the other members reacted (namely Bobby, Donghyuk, Yunhyeong, and Chanwoo), like it was so hilarious and outlandish that Hanbin could like men. It also didn't help that the production team added a comment saying that the news "would be unstable for his mother". From what I remember, Junhoe and Jinhwan, two members who I believe to be gay and bi, didn't react like the other members did and Jinhwan in particular seemed uncomfortable with what was going on. As I've said before, the video pretty much made me an akgae of the gay line 

 

Again, don't want it to seem like I'm defending them, just wanted to offer my own insight.

The last time Suho commented on one of Donghwan's posts was March 26th, which is his most recent post (bearing in mind Suho doesn't follow anyone on Instagram so either he has a private Instagram account or stalks Donghwan's account). The last post of Suho's that Donghwan liked is from the 25th of April. So I really don't think they broke up   I'm also not ruling out that it's feasible for them to travel together in secret, like they did at the start of 2017 when they went to LA. 

 

In my opinion, they've made it very clear that they don't like fans commenting on the nature of their relationship (same with Sehun and Chefsuke), which I believe is why the last time Suho appeared in one of Donghwan's Instagram posts was July 2015. I'm not worried lol, we literally get like 3 receipts from them a year and to be honest if you wanted to make a case for them "taking a break" then 2017 probably would be your best bet (but even if that did happen, I think they're together now). Honestly due to messy fans, any possible relationships that EXO members have with other people eventually end up going virtually underground - for example, I think that Sehun and Chefsuke are taking the Suho and Donghwan route now, as we haven't gotten anything from them in 5 months (although Kyungsoo's recent selfie with Chefsuke + Chefsuke still liking all of Sehun's Instagram posts indicates to me that they are still together). Even Mackenyu and Chanyeol aren't as public as I believe they want to be because some messy EXO fans led Mackenyu to remove the "angel" from his caption (when talking about Chanyeol) and add in "w/ my best friend from Korea" in English. So until I see anything that indicates any of these couples have actually broken up, I still believe that they're together.

August 2019 - Chanyeol said that he speaks to Japanese actors exclusively in Japanese and that when he went to see "Kinky Boots" earlier in the year, he understood about 80% of it. Since late 2018, EXO members have commented that Chanyeol has gotten a lot better at Japanese, making it likely Mackenyu is the cause. It is also possible that he has met Baekhyun, as in an interview some time ago Chanyeol said to Baekhyun "when we go to Japan you have to meet my friend". 

Something else worth noting is the aforementioned karaoke competition:

Everyone that Mackenyu mentioned in his interview is in this picture - apart from Chansoo. The date matches, the caption also mentions karaoke, and everyone is present apart from Chansoo - however if you look at the back you can see that at least 1 person is being hidden under all those hands (in my opinion it looks like 2 different people). I'm not saying that Chanyeol and Kyungsoo are being covered up for whatever reason, but...

Another thing that I found interesting is EXO-SC's album, specifically the lyrics for Closer To You and Just Us 2. Chanyeol's verse in Closer To You: " You outshine actors even under the fluorescent light / You outshine singers when you’re humming pop songs / Even at the time / It’s too noisy here come a little closer / Come close / You’re so pretty I feel a thrill after a long time" - everyone in attendance at the karaoke competition was either an actor or singer. I also found Chanyeol's verse in Just Us 2 interesting: "I think we endured well three of the four seasons / The midsummer is coming slowly to us fade in / Finally we have longer days but our vacation is too short / Let's go anywhere search a place that’s not on GPS / Avoiding the news reporters’ cameras / No need to care about our fashion at the airport / My pool villa room is a penthouse without even a room number / All we need today is a passport". The lyric "three of the four seasons" especially jumps out to me as Mackenyu and Chanyeol met sometime in September, so in my opinion this matches up with the timeline of their relationship (as in the last season they hadn't experienced yet together was summer). 

TL;DR - Sehoyeol and their boyfriends are still doing great

I think he's bi. He's said a lot of sus things that some people prefer to sweep under the rug (the amount of times he's talked about his heart fluttering for a man, his obsession with Nick Wilde to the point that he even has/had a pillowcase with Nick's face on it, saying he wants to go to Italy to see the handsome men there, the times he's remained inclusive e.g "male x male chemistry", "he doesn't have a boyfriend either"). And now his relationship with Mackenyu is pretty sus as well (the thing that really secured it for me was Mackenyu being introduced to the other EXO members lol, that only happens when things start getting serious  ). Not to mention that Mackenyu himself has gay rumours and literally every single one of his friends is rumoured to be gay too lmao. 

My personal theory is that Chanyeol used to be an ignorant a-hole but in the past few years he's grown up, matured, and became more comfortable with his sexuality (in the early years it almost seemed like he was overcompensating because of his insecurity). And now I believe he's dating a man so good for him 

(Also think that if he wasn't so tall or muscular people (in general, not specifically you) would be more inclined to believe that he likes men but that's a discussion for another time.)

The other video didn't really have much in it, just Chanyeol pushing the guy away completely. The shorter video is what has the most important event in it (i.e that guy squatting in front of Chanyeol then embracing him). Unfortunately I am far too used to the behaviour of homophobic fans so I save videos such as this Chanyeol video and the video of Sehun with that guy at his friend's wedding (also wiped off the Internet lol) so rest assured we will hopefully not be experiencing another moment again where gay videos get completely wiped off the Internet for a brief period of time such as Hoseok's "I want a boyf-girlfriend" video
