Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

SF9's Taeyang dancing to MNEK's Tongue and MNEK recognising it!!!! This is so cool tbh

For those that don't know, MNEK is an out gay musician and a lot of his songs use male pronouns. Namjoon said he thinks that MNEK deserves more recognition for his work, which is why some of you may recognise the name :)

The song Taeyang is dancing to, Tongue, has an explictly gay MV btw - apart from the main couple (MNEK and the other man), you also see a different pair of men as a couple (and it's also a huge bop):

Haven't looked up the lyrics myself so i can't confirm this, but i found it interesting so there you go.

Lol I just came here to post this, you beat me to it laugh.png

These are the lyrics:

You who’s staring at me blankly in the mirror is not me

Dizzy headaches and something on my head

Wanna run away, wanna disappear. Far away

(Save me) Who am I, I don’t know who I am

My body must have gone mad

There’s a horn coming out of my head, What do I do, I don’t know how to stop it

I’m the only bad thing in this world

Save me, maybe I have turned into a monster

got no one but you

Who you?

Are you my salvation who found me deserted

Who you?

Are your wings the same pain like mine

There’s a horn rising up on my head

But I love it

You become my crown

The sensation of going pit-a-pat

My heart is mayhem but I love it

We have finally become perfect T

he two of us, us, us

Stop the loneliness, abracadabra

Stop the suffering, abracadabra

Why is the world treating me like this

Got a horn on me all of a sudden

Would there be light? Even for the devils?

And then your wings were spread in front of my eyes

Tell me please, I’m the one who completes your half

This moment of my name being called

Who you?

Are you my salvation who found me deserted

Who you?

Are your wings the same pain like mine

There’s a horn rising up on my head

But I love it

You become my crown

The sensation of going pit-a-pat

My heart is mayhem

but I love it

We have finally become perfect

The two of us, us, us

Stop the loneliness, abracadabra

Stop the suffering, abracadabra

Actually I’m still a little worried

I’m standing in between the cold sneer and the loneliness nobody can understand

But it’s you

Your existence changes my world like magic

I’m not in pain anymore

I got crown on my head

There’s a horn rising up on my head

But I love it

You become my crown

The sensation of going pit-a-pat

My heart is mayhem but I love it

We have finally become perfect

The two of us, us, us

Stop the loneliness, abracadabra

Stop the suffering, abracadabra...

Love Maze teas, BH pushing that gay agenda as much as they can imstupid.png

Also just for fun, a lyric from Cat & Dog: "Let’s play forever until we cross the rainbow bridge" 0u0plz.png

( I apologize in advance, I rarely use English )

All these rumors/gossips I take from reliable resources (70-80%). Usually they are from weibo and pann.

Exo

  • From 1 bisexual to 1 gay +1 bisexual. Usually there are rumors about Baekhyun.

I can't comment on the other groups because I've never heard any reliable tea on them myself, but with EXO I have a very reliable source who said that at least three members of the group like men  - and Suho, i.e someone who could personally come up to me and proclaim his heterosexuality and I still wouldn't believe him, wasn't one of those three (as they said they don't really have a lot of tea on him and know more about the other members) so we can bump that up to EXO having at least four members who like men.

Discussion on all of this (mods please don't delete my post lmao):

I can't believe it's 2019 and some of y'all are still thinking like this. Being gay is NOT something inherently sexual. I am younger than all of TXT, apart from Kai who is about one month younger than me. I thought I was bisexual when I was 12, and realised that I'm a lesbian when I was 13. A lot of long-time posters may remember that I started posting on this thread a couple of years ago - I was 14 then. Two years younger than Kai is now. Believe it or not, but minors can also know that they are gay. If an idol, who's also a minor, posts about a gay movie, song, artist etc. - that should warrant discussion. Literally look at Daehwi.

Honestly, this discussion has been kinda...hurtful, because I have a significant amount of older LGBT friends and I would hate for them to think that they are being pedophilic, perverted, or preying on me just for talking about the nuances of sexuality with me, a teen lesbian. Us young gays are so disadvantaged - LGBT spaces irl are primarily for people over 18 or 21. Most of us can't come out to our families as we are at risk of abuse or being disowned (or worse), our dating pool is limited so our "coming-of-age" experiences come much later in life, we may find it harder to make other LGBT friends irl just because for a lot of us it's hard to make the decision to come out or not, and so on. As such, we seek representation everywhere we see it. TV shows, music videos, young LGBT artists, and yes, even idols the same age as us. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Interview Taemin did called "Why Taemin Won't Apologize For His Androgynous Aesthetic Anymore" under spoiler lovestruck.png :

The power of smoky eyes isn't lost on dudes, let me tell ya. For 25-year-old beloved K-pop star Taemin, sooty black shadow diffused on the outer corners of his lids has helped emphasize his signature duality. Through his fluid choreography, playful personality, and sensual songs, the K-pop star has become known for his sexy-yet-pure image, as Taemin describes it to me. Dramatic eye makeup, specifically, intensifies his impressive aura, and that's incredibly intentional.

"As an artist who performs on the stage, I try to express my feelings and convey my inner thoughts through the looks I give the audience," he explains. "So, I tend to focus on making sure that my makeup highlights my eyes properly."

For many, Taemin needs no introduction. In case you need one, though, I got you: In 2008, a then-15-year-old Taemin debuted with K-pop group SHINee as the youngest member and charismatic main dancer, and the quintet quickly became one of the most influential acts in the industry. Taemin, in particular, stood out with his androgynous aesthetic. At the start of his career, his long hair drew so much attention that he jokingly apologized for being "too pretty" on TV in 2012. Now, 10 years into his flourishing career, he's not apologizing for his androgyny anymore. His hair may be shorter now, but he's owning the way he marries masculinity and feminity in his stunning performances. If this is the first you're hearing of Taemin, I strongly suggest watching his music video for his incredibly popular solo song "Move" to put all of this into perspective.

While preparing for his series of solo concerts at Seoul's SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium, which will take place March 15 through 17, Taemin took a break to reveal how makeup has shaped his thriving career and why he believes a standard for masculinity doesn't exist.

My Experience Then

When Taemin shares his earliest makeup memory with me, I find myself overcome with déjà vu. Like me, Taemin first began dabbling in cosmetics occurred around age 12 for picture day — mine was for school, his for, well, not school.

At the time, Taemin was an SM Entertainment trainee getting a profile photo taken. Although he doesn't remember which products were used, his first experience with makeup has stuck in his memory. "It felt like as if I’m wearing a mask — not because it was uncomfortable but because I looked kind of cool yet a bit unfamiliar at the same time," he recollects. "It felt like my attitude changed as my looks changed." I, on the other hand, snuck into the bathroom at my private school in South Florida to etch a black eye pencil along my water lines and swipe on mascara before my yearbook photo was taken. We weren't allowed to wear more than lipgloss to class, but I was a dramatic teen dedicated to having smudgy liner for my official school portrait.

Once Taemin debuted three years later, he realized makeup is another way to convey the vibe of his concept and music. "As I utilized makeup, I found the increasing need to build my own artistic image," he says. "The synergy created from clothing, hair, and makeup combined is truly amazing, so makeup has been, is, and will be a key factor in establishing my identity as an artist."
His interest in bold eye makeup, in particular, piqued when his first solo single, "Danger," dropped in 2014. "I remember using a lot of dark eyeliners and black smoky eye shadows," Taemin shares. In the music video for the song, metallic gunmetal and asphalt pigments were blended all over his lids. Sometimes, the deep shadows completely blanketed his eyes all the way to his bleached brows or jutted upward in sharp winged shapes.

Compared to his typically fresh-faced SHINee look, his solo aesthetic was strikingly darker and stronger, which shocked even Taemin at first. "I clearly recall looking into the mirror for a while with the heavy eye makeup," Taemin continues. "[it] was really new to me."

My Relationship Now

Over the past 10 years in the K-pop game, Taemin has tried so many makeup products, but he points to eye shadow as a staple. "There are so many colors and types of eye shadows, and each one of them has different moods and vibes, which immensely helps to highlight the concept of my music," Taemin explains. "I guess I will continue using them going forward!"

With the release of his recent title track, "Want," Taemin knew he wanted to his trademark sexy-and-charismatic-yet-pure charm to stand out more than ever in the music video and on stage. "In order to portray this, I aimed towards light-but-sexy makeup," he says. The rich, satiny gold, bronze, and pewter shadows that rimmed his lash lines glimmered whenever the light hit his eyes.

The first time I watched the music video, I remember thinking, "This is the most Taemin makeup I've ever seen." The shimmery shades had an ethereal quality that echoed his dancing, but at the same time, they boosted the intensity of the video. Honestly, Taemin's golden smoky eyes perfectly paired with the snake slithering over his arm. This scene exemplified the theatricality that makes Taemin tick.

"I have no regrets on taking risks to express and differentiate myself from others as an artist."

"It was overall very elegant and androgynous, which might have gained mixed reactions," Taemin notes. "However, I have no regrets on taking risks to express and differentiate myself from others as an artist." Above all, he thanks his fans for being able to continue to do so and supporting his artistic career and the daring looks that come with it. They're the reason why he won't stop experimenting with makeup any time soon. "I think it’s important to keep on trying and finding new looks that can amplify my music and performance," he adds.

No matter what his makeup looks like or how he presents androgyny in his work, Taemin doesn't seem to believe he's defying any sort of stereotypes of masculinity. As a matter of fact, he doesn't think masculinity should look a certain way at all. Makeup isn't even a part of the equation because it's another layer of his art.

"If makeup highlights and empowers my unique appeal, why not use it?"

"For me, I think there is no absolute standard on masculinity," he states. "Nowadays, there are a lot of men who care about skin care and even use makeup to express themselves. I feel like there was a strict gender classification in the past, but the boundaries have become more blurred and our society is more about accepting and respecting each other’s differences these days. If makeup highlights and empowers my unique appeal, why not use it?

Great interview tbh, especially love the last part rlytearpls.png

Also something delulu relating to Onebin in the spoiler

So like 3 months ago Hanbin did this Vlive that was about 2 hours long, and afaik Jaewon (One) was there for the majority of the time. From the clips posted on Twitter, I would say that we've only seen about 20-30 minutes of footage of Onebin together. Some Tweets were also flagged for copyright and I don't trust Ikonics after that whole Jinwoohwan mess so I made sure to save all the videos that I saw lmao. Anyway apart from them being generally cute and sus with each other e.g Hanbin stroking Jaewon's tattoos for 20 seconds straight and Jaewon saying that the chapstick he just applied "tastes good" right after Hanbin applied it, what I found sus is that the replay Vlive took 3 months to be uploaded by YG staff when usually it just takes 1 week max. And obviously because when the Vlive first happened, a lot of the footage was never posted/translated and this replay has completely taken out Jaewon, something "interesting" could have happened and we'll just never know lmao. They said a few brand names but that doesn't warrant Jaewon being entirely cut out from the replay Vlive imo. Just my delulu thoughts

OH mods being biased? Disappointed but not surprised.

Btw it's funny because I'm a minor and lgbt

Should I stop posting here? Should I "stop" being lgbt? Is being a minor and lgbt against the rules now?

Me too sis, OH mods would probably have a riot if they found out I was 14 when I first started posting on this thread. Anticipating all of us LGBT minors getting banned from this thread

Do NOT post my sarcasm out of context. Post everything or nothing at all. I don't care if y'all need someone to put your misguided hate, Ive been in this position before. But I won't tolerate something taken out of context for your purposes.

Are you going to address how you were literally homophobic in your post and called gay speculation "creepy", said that this thread is merely founded on gossip and not actual talk of homosexuality when at least 75% of this thread is comprised of LGBT people, lied about how many complaints about minors being discussed here you receive, continue to merge completely unrelated gay discussions into this thread just because you like to keep all the gay stuff in this forum hidden in one little corner that you can conveniently ignore all the time, allow threads to stay up that literally compare this thread to the bashing thread....or are you just going to whine about users (rightfully) calling out your bullshit?

Fiction is different from reality, you really can't compare the two

Plus it's very disrespectful to assume something like that about their character just because they have a young anime girl as their avi.

Also after @Devreux posted this, Darkchao's following count went down and he's trying to clean his likes now lmao

So, based on TXT Soobin's (he is an adult btw) spotify playlist, it seems like he is a pop diva and Troye Sivan fan

(please someone screenshot it and post it here, I would be really thankful smile.png )

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4qyAAzffVbYd8phHXTxbkb?si=tLb7rluGRyOQM2vDWITWbA

Music taste isn't a solid evidence, but we all know that the chances of a 100% cis straight male to have a playlist like this are really low.

Beomgyu (also an adult) also has some interesting songs in his playlist (including Kehlani)

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/49OlzFbUhHHHxbRsTDb4qk?si=Gfu54WpRSkatlLa30fqcrw

Beomgyu having Stigma in his playlist and it's the only BTS song there....yeah, I've seen enough. Homosexual confirmed

iRBPL2S.gif

one thing is for sure... junmyeon probably isn’t het but the homophobic or just heteronormative ass exo-ls like pushing this... imagine.... him as some 100% Straight Leader™ and are constantly pandering to stereotypes or getting defensive when it comes to speculating members as lgbt. some people straight up say stuff about hoping their idols will never be gay because it’s gross and dishonorable... or they pretend that gay people can’t exist in an industry like kpop wtf. calling shippers delulu (yes, many of them are) but isn’t it even more delusional to pretend none, nil, zilch of your oppars has felt attraction to someone of the same gender.

speaking of the exos, does anyone else find it a bet telling or at least interesting when it comes to kyungsoos harem of male fanboys lmao. i saw someone on twt in 2016 say ‘i’m not gay or anything but i love kyungsoo’ and now the same guy has came out as bisexual

. exo-l(gbt)s tend to gravitate towards kyungsoo, minseok, sehun and junmyeon. lesbians including myself all tend to be Junmyeon Isn’t Het Truthers, he’s done and said enough, y’all just hetsplain a lot of it .

storytime: 1/10 people are lgbt isn’t set in stone. it can be less and honestly, it can be way more too. every single group of friends i have, 3/4 of them have turned out to be lgbt. we didn’t meet eachother in a gsa and none of our friendships were founded on having our sexualities in common. my old friend group? over 6 of us turned out to be not straight. i’ve moved away since then but most of my friends now ended up coming out and one of them confessed this to me particularly because she somehow figured out i was a lesbian before i came to terms with it., even my mother said that she notices that fellow gays and lesbians always find me somehow. it’s super puzzling but maybe like really does attract like. this phenomenon can and most likely does apply to kpop idol friendships and circles.

Wow all this tea lmao. Suho is one of my ultimate biases in K-pop and as one of the first nonhet Suho truthers in this thread and the main poster of his receipts, it really blows my mind how sooo many people think he's straight. Like..the man is just Gay y'all. Bearing in mind he was the first EXO member to say something like this that explicitly shows support for the LGBT community, and bearing in mind he didn't back down from his opinion despite Chen + the MCs laughing at him:

tumblr_nbmy9n6Waa1rj823eo2_500.gif

tumblr_nbmy9n6Waa1rj823eo3_r1_500.gif

tumblr_nbmy9n6Waa1rj823eo5_r1_500.gif

tumblr_nbmy9n6Waa1rj823eo6_r1_500.gif

(Funnily enough this variety show also had Kyungsoo's gay moment where he said that if him and Suho liked the same woman, the MC suggested that him and Suho see each other secretly and Kyungsoo said "that wouldn't be so bad" and smirked. I've noticed that Kyungsoo and Suho are often overlooked when people discuss EXO members that are likely to be gay - I can't help but think that people have this unconscious line of thinking that effeminate men are more likely to be gay. For example, Baekhyun gets mentioned a lot more than Suho (it's definitely decreasing now, but from 2013-17 Baekhyun was always seen as "more gay" than Suho) by people when others ask about possible LGBT EXO members, despite Baekhyun never really saying anything as "out there" as Suho (don't get me wrong tho, Baekhyun is still a bisexual legend lol)).

Then we have Suho's 7-year relationship with Donghwan, the constant acknowledgement of EXO's fanboys ("beautiful girls...but there are also beautiful boys as well right?"), "a dog type of boyfriend because with guys I am very loyal", "Arab EXO-Ls are so beautiful, including the men", has presumably watched the Chinese gay drama 'Addicted', watched the play 'Priscilla' with Kyungsoo, a play about a drag queen (who Jo Kwon played). Then the absolute lack of chemistry with women at all lmao

Then, like you said, if we look at his friendship group, well.. imstupid.png Kim Jisoo, Sehun, Tao, Jonghyun, Minho, Kyuhyun, Donghwan himself, like all of his actor friends imstupid.png I don't get why people are so hesitant to label him as gay lmao

And lesbian Suho stans unite lovestruck.png

oh my god this is going to sound so weird but i’ve been stalking this thread for like 3 years and finally joined the site after seeing your receipts like..... you literally did God’s Work with all those masterposts fhdjjdjenfjf thank you. i can’t believe the legend replied to me sksksks. absolutely, we goin âœˆï¸ sapphic suhoists !!! our third eyes have been opened.

oh don’t even get started on the stuff with BBH; i’ve been following exo for a long time and people were adamant that he was The Token Gay, because of his delicate features as well as popularity in terms of ships. it’s irritating how feminine looking men and tomboy women are more likely to be branded as gay.. it causes difficulty for macho men and femme women who are lgbt and then proprogates unnecessary stereotypes.

suho has Said A Lot and so much of it was completely brushed under the rug. to this day you still see people commenting on his posts / about him saying they’re waiting for him to get married to a pretty woman or reveal his girlfriend and never even entertain the extremely likely possibility of him being lgbt. same with all of exo and especially kyungsoo as well. ksoo hasn’t even said as much as suho but he’s just... sus... men are whipped for him.

RIGHT absolutely at all Suhos pals.... his many tall bfs. do u remember that 1 Time years ago when the exos found out he was actually on a phone call ‘with a man’ and pcy said he’d avoid him from now on or something... that was interesting too. makes you wonder exactly what happened and what was said.

FDKKFD thank you sis, that means a lot to me rlytearpls.pnglovestruck.png

And yeah iirc, it was when EXO went on Happy Camp in 2014 and Baekhyun said that Suho is always on his phone and he's always talking with someone quietly. Baekhyun said he was curious so he decided to eavesdrop for a couple of days. Then Baekhyun said he was surprised because he always heard a man’s voice on the phone. Chanyeol also said “I became more careful with Suho after thatâ€, which was cut out of the actual show. Iirc it was also pointed out that Suho was blushing and looked really flustered lmao, my theory is that he was most likely speaking to Donghwan on the phone every night

Edit: Also as a sidenote, I wonder why they even cut what Chanyeol said out of the show. Maybe there's a difference between the homophobic climates in China and SK, idk. I just find it funny how gays can be paraded on TV as something to laugh at, but as soon as it's insinuated that an idol is actually nonhet, oh nooo we can't have that. Korean TV has definitely grown bolder these past few years e.g that Hello Counsellor MC asking if Sehun and Suho are coming out, and when NCT U went on that show and the MC said "well you never know, society is very open these days!" when the other MC made a joke about having a crush on one of the members (or something to that effect). But unfortunately we still have a long way fo go.

Some Suhohwan updates~ lovestruck.png

Donghwan was in Yoon Jong Shin's MV for "Classy", posted on the SMTOWN music channel, and Suho commented about it on Donghwan's Instagram post.

IMG_20190326_205325.jpg?width=219&height

Rough translation: "Kim Sihwan actor-nim is cool/swag-like in a music video he’s done". Also friendly reminder that Suho doesn't follow anyone on Instagram so he had to directly look up Donghwan's IG to see this chuplz.png

And an update from the world of Tao, he posted this on Instagram and tagged Jonathan Anderson

These are some of the posts from Jonathan's Instagram that show up first lmao

Tao and Suho gay legends!
