Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

I haven't done one of these for any group in a while so:

Wanna One

Daniel: I think he was being honest when he said his type is older women. That doesn't mean he can't like men too of course, but I just haven't seen much of anything so far from him to really indicate that.

Seongwoo: I need to observe him more. He doesn't ping me so to speak, but I'm just not totally sure yet.

Minhyun: I need receipts on his gayness, for science. He hasn't really pinged me but I see others saying otherwise and I know there are people who have followed him a lot longer than I have.

Jisung: He's flamboyant and pings in his mannerisms but also hasn't really shown any serious interest in anyone so far. He may just be guarded or not very sexual, but he's one of the ones I have my closest eye on.

Sungwoon: I don't know him very well, to be honest. I only really noticed him near the end of the show, and I didn't follow Hotshot. He doesn't ping me so far...unlike Taehyun. 0u0plz.png He had no issues at all rooming with Daehwi though, so he might be an ally, or I just need to see more of him. I'm going to post him and Jinyoung being tsundere to Daehwi about becoming their roommate again because I can and it's adorable:

Jaehwan: He seems like a goofy straight guy imo. On Wanna One Go he made himself excited when he suggested that I.O.I might come to visit him and Minhyun, but Minhyun told him to stop being delusional. laugh.png And whereas Taehyun seemed honestly shook and confused by Daehwi, Jaehwan seems to be joking around because he (and the rest of Wanna One) seem to know about Daehwi and seem to not really mind.

Daehwi: Gay and open. Fabulous.

Woojin: He seems like a quiet straight guy to me. His stage presence is no joke though and he seems to have carefully rehearsed how to be attractive to women. The ping just isn't there.

Jinyoung: Gay, honestly. I've only ever seen him get excited about dudes. He seemed to take the whole Deepwink thing a lot more seriously than Jihoon, and of course we now have Jinhwi.

Jihoon: This dude. He's hard af to read, but I think that's just his personality, and I think he's probably straight, but feel free to disagree.

Guan Lin: During the show he was so guarded and constantly in his swaggy rapper persona, but now he's suddenly fine with being the giggling maknae. I haven't analyzed him much tbh, and Seonho pings him into a ditch so he was always less noticeable to me. I think he's just now really opening up, so we'll see how he is in the future.

oh my god. this is what people are referring to when they say kpop fans need to stop discussing idols's sexualities publicly. i personally think a lot of idols are lgbt but im not discussing it as if they're characters. idols are real people, and their identities aren't topics. and this is coming from someone who gets extremely heated over people putting down the idea of gay relationships between idols or idols being lgbt. there's a line between not being heteronormative and just straight up dehumanizing people. this thread did not need to be created, especially when most of yall are just throwing around labels to support your ships.

How much of the thread have you even read? And many people who post here are lgbt themselves, who are you to tell us what we can or can't discuss? Get off your high horse.

I literally do, though. I'm against all types of mistreatment of idols and i speak out against it when I can. I also never said that everyone here was straight, either. It doesn't change the fact that you are literally treating idols like characters by discussing their personal lives and identities when its ****not your place****. I just find it unsettling that there's a thread with thousands of replies discussing idols' sexual orientations like they're characters in a book. you wouldn't treat anyone you know in real life like that. look for representation in celebrities that are actually open and comfortable with their queerness instead of being invasive and using their personal lives as a topic.

I'd also like to mention that no one seems to care about female idol's sexual orientations as much as they care about male's, so it's obviously not just well intended discussion if there's a double standard which obviously points to preference.

Like i said before, I'm aware of the heteronormativity in kpop and it's just as bad. Anyone could be queer or not, but that doesn't mean it's anyone's business. I don't assume idols are straight or lgbt, i just recognize that it's not my place to speak on it.

You have to understand that OH often directs ANY gay discussion to this thread, so it has become something more than it was when it was created. Also, we're not Dispatch. We're not a bunch of crazy sasaengs crowding around oppa's house. We know that everything here is speculation, and like I said, many people who post here are lgbt themselves, so they know from personal experience where the lines are drawn. The few idols that generally are agreed upon as gay (and not homophobic) in this thread are adored, and anything that would harm them or their careers is condemned. That being said, there are shippers and people who go too far, sure, but that's to be expected in a thread that's years old and has thousands of pages. Also, if discussing sexuality of any kind is too intrusive to you, then you're going to have a hard time on OH. Just a heads up.

Describes someone attracted primarily to members of the same sex (homosexual), but occasionally attracted to members of the opposite sex AND/OR able to derive pleasure from romantic encounters with members of the opposite sex. Homoflexibility is related to, but different from bisexuality in that homoflexiblepersons most often identify as gay or lesbian, despite occasional relations with members of the opposite sex. The term may sometimes be appropriate as a synonym for bi-curious, where the individual in question is primarily homosexual.

The term "heteroflexible" was first developed to describe primarily heterosexual persons who occasionally enjoyed hooking up with members of the same sex. "Homoflexible" later began to be used as a parallel term as defined above.

UD example

"Hey I just hooked up with Grace!"

"Aren't you gay?"

"Nah man, I'm homoflexible. I find some girls hot."

How is this not just bi with a preference?

The subbed video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z88SLouJwY&feature=youtu.be

A lot of the ships in W1 are pushed by the company or MNET or whomever (the boys seem to all be good friends but they don't hesitate to make jokes like they're in love with each other, e.g. Jaehwan saying his religion is 'Hwang Minhyun' and Jihoon saying Guanlin knows how his hands are because they hold hands a lot) and they can be really fanservice-y, but I think in pretty much every single behind the scenes video, the other members bring up these two. If it were Jinyoung and Daehwi talking about these things, I would chalk it up to fanservice since Deephwi seems to have replaced Winkdeep, but the duo just seem to be embarrassed whenever the other members bring up things that even the fans notice (like them sleeping in the same bed or wearing couple's clothes).

I just know that they're very comfortable with each other which is nice to see. Both Jinyoung and Daehwi went through a lot during Produce 101 and it's good that they both have someone they can be themselves with.

That smitten smile 15 seconds in from Daehwi. He must be protected~

wAIT WHAAAA :la:

i need deets sis

He pings like hell but would often dismiss anything he even perceived as slightly gay on After School Club and has wacky super religious parents, so he's closeted af. I saw him in person today at Kcon LA though and he's really cute, he had his own fan panel and then hosted the fan engagements for the other artists for the day. He has his own hi touch tomorrow for people who buy his merch and I was tempted :/ Edited by Frogurt

So I'm still shook, shaken and stirred from the Kcon concert, but just saying Joshua is super gay in real life, Vernon too kinda, his voice pings, and N is a beautiful fairy princess and dances like a stripper and needs to be seen in 60 fps.

GUANLIN LMAO :hurr: :hurr: :hurr: :hurr: :hurr:

I get vibes from Joshua but your point on Vernon is kinda interesting! :raep:

Yeah it's weird, maybe I'm crazy or my ears were ruined by the screaming, but Vernon's voice sounded really different in person than what I hear now on what I recorded of him, which sounds like his usual voice. He sounded a lot more like Joshua, who himself sounded even more gay and walks across stages like a queen unintentionally.

This needs to be seen in real life though, because cameras ruin it, or at least things that arent 60 fps. For example, certain idols seemed the same in person, but others were less impressive than expected (no names) while others were moreso (S.Coups is actually hot af, N has a really elegant(?) long neck and beautiful skin and pretty eyes that cameras don't do justice, and Dino is adorable). I was right by the stage and so they would come by right in front of me, etc. I'll fill you guys in on tomorrow and how Wanna One and GOT7 are like in this regard.

People act like this thread used to only be great discussion and receipts, which isn't necessarily wrong, but it was also just a lot gayer. Just glitter and be gay. And bring good receipts when you choose to do so.

Anyway, Daehwi is somehow less gay than Joshua in person. And Winwin is cute af and pings a bit when he dances, like he's going to start waacking any second.

Also, OT but Yugyeom and NCT Mark look even better in person and are eye magnets when they dance. Wanna One and Astro look the same in person as on TV.

So I'm only now really watching the Heyo TV special with eliminated PD 101 S2 contestants and...

At one point they have to get a series of questions right in order to win food, but they ALL get one of the questions wrong, so the staff offers to let some of them back into the game if they can complete a special mission, and one of the missions offered is the pepero game. Seonho immediately smiles when he hears about it and suggests they do it, then when he loses the rock paper scissors game to decide who plays it, he forcefully offers himself as a player and makes the others do another round of rock paper scissors to decide who does it with him. When they each try not to "win," he keeps asking them if it would really be all that bad to do it with him 0u0plz.png :

Starts at 1 hour and 2 minutes in:

He has to do it with Sanggyun, and like a minute later one of the 6 of them needs to do the Gwiyomi song and Seonho says Sanggyun should do it because "he didn't know how cute he was until today." 0u0plz.png
